  2. Hurricane I of RAF 274 Sqn (s/n Z4312)

    Hurricane I of RAF 274 Sqn (s/n Z4312)
    Late 1940
This aircraft is based on a picture in the book 'Hurricanes over Tobruk' by Brian Cull and Don Minterne. The picture shows a rare view of the NH codes which soon gave way to a painted lightning flash through the fuselage roundel. The aircraft does not carry the individual code letter. The serial number is illegible, but Z4312 was a Hurricane that served with 274 Sqn at the time.

  6. Hurricane IIb

    "601 Squadron"
    Hurricane MkIIb skin by Bo_Nidle.

I painted this Hurricane in the standard grey and green scheme to use it in the FMB on cross channel "Rhubarbs".As a 601 Sqn aircraft it should have had a blue band on the spinner but all my attempts to replicate this resulted in a smudged mess so I left it sky colour.I have included a coded blank skin for flight numbers.
