It is designed for and works in the SF2 series of games. While it may not be accurate for the pre-J model Hercules it's better than nothing. The cockpit of the AC-130s is a modified version of my C-130J cockpit with a gun sight and stores/radar screen. The gun sight to the left is just a "guide" for firing the guns. Due to the different muzzle velocities and different altitude/speed of the aircraft the rounds may not go where you aim. HUD: If you are using the Widescreen 16:10 mode, the bank indicator in the HUD is slightly offset to the left. I have been unable to figure out a fix for this, but if you are using the Standard 4:3 mode it is not a problem. Animation Keys: #0 to open the Crew entrance door #1 to open the Paratrooper deflectors and Paratrooper doors #2 to deploy the Refuel drogues (if fitted) Weapons: Included in this package are several weapons and racks: A-22 CDS Container A-22 CDS Container (HE) AGM-114L Hellfire AGM-176A Griffin BLU-82 Daisy Cutter* BRU-61 SDB Rack C-130 Fuel Tank C-130A Fuel Tank C-130 Refuel probe Cargo Pallet Cargo Pallet (HE) GBU-40 SDB GBU-43B MOAB* KS15-1000 JATO Bottle M-299 Hellfire rack M38 Jeep* Paratrooper* Paratrooper Stick The A-22s, AGM-176A, C-130 Fuel Tanks, C-130 Refuel probe, Cargo Pallets, Paratrooper Stick and JATO bottle were created by me. The AGM-114L Hellfire, BRU-61 SDB Rack, GBU-40 SDB, GBU-43B MOAB and M-299 Hellfire rack were created by FastCargo. The M38 Jeep is the standard Third Wire ground object turned into a weapon. I am unsure who made the Paratrooper or BLU-82 models, but all credit to the creators of these weapons/objects for the models/skins etc. The C-130 refuel probe allows you to load the refuel probe onto the C-130Js and C-130Ks via the loadout screen. The Paratrooper Stick is a rack with no model that I have created so you can load more than one paratrooper for each paratrooper door. I had to do this because the game will only allow one animation for a weapon bay. I wanted to have the paratrooper doors open separately to the ramp and cargo door so I set the paratrooper doors with an animation key and the paratrooper station as an external weapon station. This meant I needed a rack to load more than one 'weapon' in each station. The only problem with this is that the paratroopers can jump through the doors if they are closed. So open them first! I have modified some of these weapons' _DATA.ini files to suit this package. To ensure that no "random" weapons can be loaded in the C-130 cargo compartment, I have used the SpecificStationCode= function. The weapon folders in this package that have been modified (denoted by an * above) WILL NOT overwrite your existing ones from the weapon pack as they have different names (The weapons from this package have a (D) at the end of the name). *NOTE* If you already have these modified weapons from another Hercules package of mine, you can allow them to overwrite unless you have changed their set up and want to keep your changes. Both the A-22 CDS Container and the Cargo Pallet have an additional folder named "TGA". This folder contains an alternate model and texture that uses a parachute with transparent panels. This can create some issues with shadows and clouds so it's only included to give you the choice. The default is the JPEG chute. There are two versions of the A-22 CDS Container and Cargo Pallet. If they have a (HE) at the end of their name they are explosive and act like a bomb by blowing up when they hit the ground. If they don't have a (HE) they will hit the ground and remain there. To make this happen I have created several craters and added them to the Wreckobject.ini. The M38 Jeep also remains when it hits the ground. *NOTE* Please see the installation section below if you already have a custom Wreckobject.ini file. JATO: As a trial, the KC-130T is the only variant in this package with JATO at this stage. The KS15-1000 JATO Bottle allows you to load JATO bottles onto the KC-130T via the loadout screen and then jettison them when they're spent. JATO is set up as rearward firing cannons. To activate the JATO use the FIRE_PRIMARY_GUN keyboard key (usually spacebar) or the button that you have mapped on your joystick. INSTALLATION ------------ Very simple, extract the files from the archive to your C:\Users\*NAME*\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2 folder. Next, You will need to add the following to your Squadronlist.ini file which should be in your Flight AND Pilot Data folders. This is so the Unit Name shows up. (*NOTE* This is not essential). Make sure the XXX is replaced with the next sequential number in your file: [SquadronXXX] Name=16SOS DisplayName=16th SOS, 8th TFW Nation=USAF [SquadronXXX] Name=4SOS DisplayName=4th SOS Ghost Riders Nation=USAF [SquadronXXX] Name=463TAW DisplayName=463rd Tactical Airlift Wing Nation=USAF [SquadronXXX] Name=464TAW DisplayName=464th Tactical Airlift Wing Nation=USAF [SquadronXXX] Name=62AS DisplayName=62nd AS, 314th AW Nation=USAF [SquadronXXX] Name=50AS DisplayName=50th AS, 19th AW Nation=USAF [SquadronXXX] Name=41ECS DisplayName=41st ECS, 355th ECW Nation=USAF [SquadronXXX] Name=522SOS DisplayName=522nd SOS Fireballs Nation=USAF [SquadronXXX] Name=VMGR152 DisplayName=VMGR-152 Sumos Nation=USMC [SquadronXXX] Name=VMGR252 DisplayName=VMGR-252 Otis Nation=USMC [SquadronXXX] Name=VMGR352 DisplayName=VMGR-352 Raiders Nation=USMC [SquadronXXX] Name=VMGR234 DisplayName=VMGR-234 Rangers Nation=USMC [SquadronXXX] Name=VMGR452 DisplayName=VMGR-452 Yankees Nation=USMC [SquadronXXX] Name=36SQN DisplayName=36 Squadron Nation=Australia [SquadronXXX] Name=37SQN DisplayName=37 Squadron Nation=Australia [SquadronXXX] Name=47SQN DisplayName=No. 47 Squadron Nation=RAF [SquadronXXX] Name=424SQN DisplayName=No. 424 Squadron Nation=Canada *NOTE* If you do not have a Squadronlist.ini file in your Flight folder you will need to extract it from the MissionData001.CAT file in your Flight folder using the SF2 Extractor utility. If you already have a custom Wreckobject.ini file, you will need to add the following to your file. This is so the craters will show up for the CDS, Cargo Pallet and M38 Jeep. Make sure the XXX is replaced with the next sequential number in your file: [WreckTypeXXX] RandomCount=1 ModelNameFormat=M38JeepCrater%03d [WreckTypeXXX] RandomCount=1 ModelNameFormat=CDSCrater%03d [WreckTypeXXX] RandomCount=1 ModelNameFormat=CargoPalletCrater%03d Then you will need to make sure that the XXX above matches the "CraterType=" at the bottom of the respective weapon's _DATA.ini That's it. You will need Diego's MODUSAF pilot skin for the pilot, or you can use whatever skin you like by editing the relevant _DATA.ini file. REMOVAL ------- Reverse the above steps.
