Any Sudden Strike Fans around?

Recommended Posts

I know, the old 2d, isometric game engine of SS 1-2 and the "clones" like Hidden Stroke and stuff is totaly outdated. But sometimes i still fight the one or the other battle there!

Now i found a very nice mod from russia. Indeed it is a complete new game. Based on the engine of Sudden Strike Recource War, it is set in a europe of the near future. The armies of USA, Russia, France, Great Britain and Germany are modeled with almost all current weapon systems.

Unfortunally the game is only availlable in russian (cyrillic) speech, but guys knowing the Sudden Strike Menu easily find their way to campaigns and single missions.

Man that brings back some good memories. Really liked that you could shoot everything up in the game. Only down side was enemy artillery. It was way to quick in response time and acuracy.

Nice, I played the sega genesis ones back in those days starting with desert strike, jungle strike and on. Would be nice to release this new one in West.

Have youguys tried "Blitzkrieg", its like sudden strike but in 3D, I like blitzkrieg 1 more than two, cause 2 is more like C&C.

SS was great in it's time! So was Blitzkrieg later. And yes, B1 was much much better than 2nd, SS3 was big fail for me

oh, memories!:drinks:

You are right ... memories

As I had the first Panther, I used them like it was described in my Book "Tiger", lots of support vehicles, rearming them and damn I wasted so much scouts :D
