CFS3 expansion Mediterranean Air War

Recommended Posts

Looking for a few good men to fly MAW multiplayer. I host IP games every day and we have a private Teamspeak 2 server. Our MAW install has a few extra a/c and I can provide you with all the downloads you need (easy installs). Prefer XP users but Vista/Win 7 welcome if you know how to setup for multiplayer to an XP host.

* Must speak English.

* Must be able to download files, unzip and move files and folders into your MAW install.

* We fly Monday thru Friday from approx 10:00am to 5:00pm Pacific time. You don't have to fly every day but some commitment is required.

* We have flights on Saturday and Sunday also with PTO, ETO and Over Flanders Fields.

* 10:00am pacific time early start is convienent for European pilots.

* You can be at any skill level, from beginner to pro.

* All aids turned on (you can turn off what you don't like) Auto-mixture off.

* We fly co-op missions, occasionally adversarial, never dogfights.

Never flown MAW online before but are interested in trying it? I'll help you get setup and provide links to download the free expansion to Combat Flight Sim 3, the Teamspeak 2 software and setup instructions and it's all easy after that.

Accepting only a few new pilots, PM me or reply here for more info.

There's a link at Sim Outhouse in the CFS3 Forum, but I can't get it for you right now as the site is undergoing maintenance for an hour or two. http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/forum.php

Med Air War is the best thing that ever happened to CFS3, in my rather biased opinion! While you're at it, check out here:

For some of the very best CFS3 addons.

Others are at SOH in the Downloads Library and Archive.

We're not talking about From-the-box CFS3 any more...

I admit that the Greek and French G-36 aircraft are "alternative history!" They were ordered but never delivered. A month or two more and they would have been, in both cases.

The Bf109G is stock but completely reworked, while the other aircraft are updated addons.

Okay I would be interested if I knew where to download it from... tried http://www.medairwar.com/ and it timesout on me...

Here's the links to the new location. After you get it installed, we'll meet on Teamspeak and I'll give you the small MAW update and all the extras we're running. Let me know when you've got MAW installed and running OK.

I'll need to know what OS you're using.

Download all these and place in the same folder. Unzip the .zip file and follow the install instructions, usually method 1 install. Don't do anything with the .D0x files. They just need to be in the same folder with the other install files.

No problem. We won't be on Monday anyway. Do you have Teamspeak 2 installed? PM me here for the private connect details. Once you're on Teamspeak I'll give you the add-on aircraft we're using.

We'll still be here when you're ready. I've just added real voice radio communications to some of my MP missions and that is proving to be a real plus to the immersion factor. We are now flying some ETO in addition to MAW and PTO.

CFS3 should be readily available in Europe and still cheap as well. Hope you can find a copy and join in the fun.

Have 9 installs of CFS3 and my favorite version is the CFS3-BoB. Enjoy MAW also and work is being done to expand it to 1943 very soon. Don't play online but may give it a try. Enjoy Il-2 '46 and have several installs of it too as they are the best at what they offer for a diehard combat flight simmer . There has been a resurgence of interest in MAW at SOH. The best way to download it is the all in one link.     http://www.mrjmaint.com/CFS3/

When your GPU display presents data from many frames from a single screen draw, a problem known as screen tearing might happen. It happens when the frame rate of your GPU and the refresh rate of your monitor is out of sync. When gamers play games on pc they mostly face the problem of screen tearing. Gamers should set  Nvidia G-Sync for a Smooth, Tear-Free PC Gaming experience.
