TK will let anyone do just about anything if they offer the right price.
First Flight The Wright Experience did some things with TK's engine that SFP1 was not doing at the time and still not doing now. Among them was a dedicated wind-tunnel based flight model in place of TK's fm. IIRC, it has a mission recorder, too. If I had it installed right now, I would verify that feature. This project appears to be more of a YAP style user modse turned payware rather than the truly commercial grade product that First Flight represented, so I don't expect any engine changes or radical breakthroughs.

OT: What's the engine AD is using, FPS one?

Hello all,

TRICUBIC STUDIOS uses for Combat Helo the Leadwerks Engine :

http://www.leadwerks...ge/Products/le2

and later, for next projects, the GROME3 engine :

http://www.quadsoftw...t&subsec=editor

I saw a message from JediMaster about Jet Thunder,
ThunderWorks have got a proprietary 3D engine, confirmed by Dante here :

http://combatace.com...934#entry423934

My 2 cents of €.

I beg your pardon for my poor english,
all the best for this great project.

Leadwerks isn't optimized for flightsim. IIRC that is why the CH maps are limited to 32x32km and they're looking at GROME3 instead.

I see, thanks Jules. GR3 is some 200$ for indie devs so still cheap

Any idea of when the new forums will be available for us the rest of the mortals?

It's funny that they're associated with Ed Rasimus. From memory, when SIMHQ did an interview with him years ago and mentioned the then forthcoming Strike Fighters sim, he was fairly (probably rightly) dismissive about the ability of a computer sim to give a meaningful feeling of what mid-60s air combat was really like. Perhaps he's changed his mind.

Korat and Thuds. That brings back some memories. Sat out a year there at the tail end of the war. I was maintenance. Not flight crew. I'll be watching progress.

First Flight brought dynamic wind, so the glider would fly...

Jug's in. Whatever, whenever, and however. Thuds are sleek, fast on the deck, and legendary. Can't wait for this to come out.

For those that don't know it, Ed Rasimus has died.
I wish this project would be finished in a way that would honor his memory.
I am guessing that the total lack of activity on the WTR website combined with TK's migration to mobile apps is a sign that this project will never get any further than this old announcement.

This project has updated their website to reflect the loss of Ed Rasimus. It also stated their intent to finish the project and provided updated screenshots.

So, the sub Forum is gone, does it mean WTR died (which i do not hope)?

Put hours into this project, would be sad if it´s gone...

Maybe they moved to a new engine, that would be great, so it would open whole new possibilities. SF3 maybe?
