Fighting a AI Fokker D7 with a Sopwith Snipe.

Note to the left of the scope on the win screen coming into view.

Now look into the scope and I blasted him.
AIGPCKB.jpg

You can see the damage on the D7 and I hear that his motor revs are way down so I must of hit his engine in the process and I blasted him again.

And we ended up with one well done D7...

A fun dogfight setup in about 3 mins and lasted for 10 or so mins.

Obviously, he didn't jump.  Were there parachutes, then?

Hi abuassad,

Yes there where parachutes back then but the British pilots where not allowed to use them, the French pilots did not care for them as the where big and bulky and very uncomfortable in them small cockpits as well as most of the German pilots, only a very few German pilots used them and Ernst Udet was one of them who did use one.

Hi Jeanba, Yes your right, although there where a few French squadrons where the squadron commander allowed his pilots to use them and most of them chose not to.

A Snipe with a capable set of hands at the controls is indeed nothing for anyone at the receiving end to sneeze at!
Neither is the potential of this game regarding seagoing vehicles!

Well done indeed

When I have shot down an Englishman my hunting passion is satisfied for a quarter of an hour. Therefore I do not succeed in shooting two Englishmen in succession. If one of them comes down I have the feeling of complete satisfaction. Only much, much later I have overcome my instinct and have become a butcher.

Dogfight With Guynemer.

In game shot of a quick mission dogfight setup, I just moved the camera a little in the cockpit view to see more of the Albatros.
