I live in England and we are a small country just north of central Europe, and we are completely swamped with economic migrants looking for handouts. I have three new Polish \ Ukranian families on my street and they are all claiming Housing Benefits and qualify for free Medical Care and Dental Treatment on the National Health Service, and yet I have got to go to work for my wages and pay my taxes. What is worse one of the foreign men even stopped me in the street and asked me in broken English for directions to '' the place where I can get free money please'' I felt so angry that they had just come over here to collect free cash and and everything else they could get out of the British taxpayer. We were consequently called nazies and racist and whatever else for feeling the same. The other side of the coin is, that blame the EU and it's bolshevik neo-liberal system to exploit and financially colonize central and eastern Europe*. Eastern wages, western prices. No wonder that everyone is flocking to the west. 80% of my former classmates, ex colleage are in Britain. If I were 20 years old, I would also went there too. But now I think I have a homeland and a conflict to fight here. I was working and fighting for other people for too long. I don't really know about Southern Europe - but certainly Britain is not Britain anymore, I feel like an outsider in my own country, there are lots of Polish and Eastern European shops now which have replaced the traditional English corner shops. I feel like I am living in a different country. Great Britain, the Britain I grew up with, my Britain is no more, and I am fearful of the future, I feel my job security is under threat and wages in Britain have fallen sharply because of foreign economic migrants undercutting the native British workers. I live in Southern Europe, and as far as I can tell the situation is the same here too, actually I don't know if I should feel offended because you separated Europe from Southern Europe, the South is in the EU as the East, the West, the North (I know it wasn't your intention, I've just had a bad day). Seriously, I don't blame the governments, instead I blame the people who voted such governments. What is happening in the East (see Hungary for instance) is not good at all, and something bad is going to happen sooner or later. The EU failed years ago, especially when it allowed some countries from the ex-Soviet bloc to enter. Regarding migrants, I find it remarkable that Germany and my Italy (the once two fascist countries back in WW2) have decided (although with strong opposition) to save them; moreover Germany has decided to take this leading role even though it has not caused the recent chaos in the Middle East, nor has bombed Libya, which instead other countries, including mine, have done, destabilizing for no reason entire populations. All in all I almost want to see Europe cry and fall, it's what we deserve if we are honest to ourselves. With extreme right wing parties on the rise, I think I can say we are all doomed now, it's 1900s all over again. My wages have fallen because I have moved to a new job within the same company and the company is looking to make more cut-backs yet employ more foreign labour. This is bad, horribly bad and EU should had not been about free employment, relaxed trade yes but workforce circulation no. Why? Because not only does it harm the population/workforce of well developed countries it also further bogs down the underdeveloped ones. Why? Because people are like water, they will mostly pick the action that makes them overcome as little resistance as possible so instead of fixing things in their own country they run away where things are already fixed. It's a horrible mentality if you ask me but people are like that. Many of my fellow Croats fled to the western countries, mostly highly educated workforce(university degree, phd) but also some "common workers" most of those people when asked said they were apolitical, not interested in politics, elections, voting. This is sad but this is something highly promoted by politicians who set the system in the way the richest and most powerful want it to be, and they would much rather have a Croatian engineer working like crazy for half of your salary which is still 4-5 times more than he could earn in Croatia than paying you your salary, production is the same, cost is greatly reduced. This is bad for all of us, good for them. I'll just give you one horrible but completely true example my cousin is a construction worker in Germany, he is working on electric, pluming, heating etc. installations on newly built buildings in a town near Munchen, he has no formal education higher than elementary school, he makes more a month than a judge in Croatia so go figure... 3 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

The same mobile phone company, same logo... the have thick skin on their faces to ask for roaming cost between their own networks saying it is international. Meantime they advertise themselves being the bridge which connects Europe... ...my ass. I figure that I am headed for the scrapyard or already in the scrapyard, and waiting for the end to come.!!!!!! You see, "multiculture" was designed to destroy cultures. Yours, mine, everyone's. Contrary what they say, they do not want to preserve a colorful diverse world. Anyone good at graphics knows what happens if you mix red blue and yellow - shit brown. Not only culture but national unity. Mixing non local population into a nation (especially such which will never ever integrate) is the best way to divide them forever and plant the seeds of never ending conflict and chaos. And, we know, the more they tighten their grip, the more will slip through their fingers. Just remember, whatever fashion they try to push on people, no matter the skin color - black or white, or asian - most people want family with with their own kind. I do find some black girls attractive, asians, especially japanese (khm khm) but still I want kids of my own kind. That's not racism of course, just personal preference. Be wise with the elections, I have 99% sure feeling that you will have a female president (or already have?). And the cart will be going in the same way.
