Instructions for the Heinkel He.51 Fuel Tank

The Heinkel He.51 has a drop tank which can be added to the plane as a loadout. Ojcar has taught me how to add controls to First Eagles to allow you to jettison the fuel tank in flight. (These are controls from Strike Fighters which can be added to First Eagles.)

Inside your FirstEagles/Controls folder is a file named "Default.ini" open the file and add the following lines at the end of the [ControlSet001] section.


WHEELBRAKES_TOGGLE=B
LANDING_GEARS_TOGGLE=G
OPEN_BOMBBAY_DOOR=CTRL+O
FLAPS_DOWN=F
FLAPS_UP=V
DROP_TANKS=CTRL+J


Then save the file.

This will add functionality to First Eagles to allow you to use some of features of Strike Fighter planes, like retractable landing gear, wheel brakes, etc. For the Heinkel, use Ctrl+J to drop the fuel tank.
