    3. F-15EX Eagle II Mod for DCS World (Updated)

This is a simple mod that uses the stock F-15EX external model and F-15C cockpit/avionics + custom .LUA files to create a stand-in flyable F-15EX Eagle II.  This mod has come a long way since I first took it over from KNNZubr, and now includes a limited air to ground capability with unguided bombs, rockets, and the AGM-88F HSCM (HARM Control Section Modification).  AMBER racks have been added with version 1.5, plus AIM-120C-7 AMRAAM and outer wing hardpoints for up to 20 AAMs.
Installation: Just extract the .7z file and drop it into Saved Games/DCS/mods/aircraft (or Saved Games/DCS.openbeta/mods/aircraft depending on which version you have).   This mod has been tested with DCS 2.8 latest open beta as of 12/27/22.
Known issues: The F-15E external model is used, which is not accurate (wrong cockpit and engine nozzles plus lack of fairings on the sides of the cockpit for what is likely some sort of missile warning system.  The F-15C cockpit is still used, pending development of a custom cockpit.

    13. DCS AJS 37 Viggen: Operation Varangian

AJS 37 Viggen: Operation Varangian tells the story of Nordic Forces going on a mission of Peace Enforcement in the Middle East. Supported by Danish, Finnish and Norwegian Forces they must uphold the U.N mandate to keep the Persian Gulf open for international trade.
The Henricsson Doctrine developed by NORDBAT 2 is in full effect – the full arsenal of the contingent will be used to deter further hostilities if necessary!
      Key Features:
      * Fly the Saab AJS 37 Viggen alongside your Nordic brothers in a conflict to keep the straits of Hormuz open for use by the international community.
      * Preform a number of classic Viggen missions such as anti-ship, low level attack and deployment of precision munitions against a large variety of targets.
      * Completely story driven, voice-acted campaign written by the Lead Writer of The Scandinavian Front.
This campaign requires ownership of Heatblur Simulations AJS 37 Viggen, along with the DCS World by Eagle Dynamics: Persian Gulf Map.

      The Year is 1996.
Iraqi forces have been severely bloodied by the Coalition in the Gulf War, and NATO forces maintain considerable strength in the area to keep Saddam's ambitions in check. However, in the power vacuum, Iran has demanded control of the Persian Gulf and with their air force bolstered by the defecting Iraqi Air Force, they pose a serious threat to stability in the region.
Eager to avoid a large-scale war over one of the most vital shipping lanes in the world, the United Nations authorise the deployment of a Peace Enforcement Task Force to show Iran that their ambitions are not accepted by the rest of the world. The nations of Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland assemble the air component of the Task Force, codenamed "Varangian".
As "Enfield 1", you are part of the Swedish contingent from F 15 at Söderhamn.
      INSTALLATION:
Unzip the Mods folder in your main DCS Folder.
Unzip the Liveries folder into the Saved Games/DCS Folder
The campaign will be visible under the AJS 37 Tab in Campaigns.

    17. Su-33 Fictional Skins: US Navy Fighter Squadrons (Volume I)

Su-33 Fictional Skins: US Navy Fighter Squadrons (Volume I)
for DCS World 1.2.16 and later

This is a collection of eight skins representing three US Navy fighter squadrons using historical F-14 Tomcat liveries. The squadrons included are:

VF-21 Freelancers (CAG, CO, Line birds)
VF-103 Jolly Rogers (CAG, CO, Line birds)
      VF-124 Gunfighters (CO, Line birds)

The VF-103 skins date from their 2000 deployment with CVW-17 on the USS George Washington. Included as the CO bird is the famous "Santa Cat", which has the jolly roger decked out in Christmas gear.

Most markings have been westernized, and the pilots have been given USN flightsuits with Naval Aviator wings and squadron patches. The helmet remains Russian made.

Note: this skin pack uses an EXE installer that creates common texture folders and an autoexec.cfg (if you already have one, you can make manual changes). I would like your feedback on this system; if it works I intend to apply it to my other skin packs.

For Compact Installations - A Note About Autoexec.cfg:

Rather than copying texture files to their respective livery folders, I prefer to use a series of common texture folders along with unique filenames. This allows a single instance of many of my common textures, and keeps the hard drive footprint to a minimum (especially nice if you run a SSD for your system drive).

The installer will add a series of folders to the DCS Texture path; if you do not have these folders created, then it is no problem. The autoexec.cfg included will automatically point to the Texture folder in your Saved Games\DCS folder, and regardless of whether you run the Open Alpha, Open Beta, or Release version of DCS, the path will always point to your Saved Games\DCS\Texture folder. Again, this saves space on your hard drive.

If you use your own Autoexec.cfg, then when prompted to overwrite you can click "no". This will create a file called autoexec.new, and you can manually make the updates as you like. Just don't modify the top line with the file date; this is used by the installer for version control. However, feel free to include it in your existing autoexec.cfg, so you don't get prompted to overwrite until there's another update to the autoexec.cfg.

If you inadvertently overwrite your autoexec.cfg, it is actually backed up as autoexec.old. Just open it and copy the appropriate information to the new file.

      For Traditional Installations:

If there is an issue with textures not displaying, it is likely a problem with the installer. Please let me know what textures are missing so that I can troubleshoot the issue.

These skins were inspired by Clave's Deviant Art gallery:
      http://ws-clave.deviantart.com/gallery/6112394?offset=432

If you have any squadron requests, please PM me. If possible, provide top and profile views of the aircraft, preferably line art (much easier to extract color), and for CAG/CO birds, a close up of the tail fin is greatly appreciated.

You are free to use any of these skins in other projects as long as proper credit is provided in the readme file.

    18. US Navy Attack Squadron 97 (VA-97) "Warhawks" Skin Pack

VA-97 was commissioned in 1967 and flew the A-7 Corsair. In 1968, the squadron deployed to Vietnam as part of Carrier Air Wing 14 (CVW-14) embarked on the USS Constellation. VA-97 conducted a second combat deployment with CVW-14 in 1969, where they flew over 2500 sorties. VA-97 conducted two more Vietnam combat deployments in 1971 and 1972. The Warhawks returned to Vietnam for a fifth time in 1975 in support of Operation Frequent Wind, the evacuation of Saigon. In early 1980, VA-27 provided air cover for Operation Eagle Claw, the failed attempt at rescuing the American hostages in Iran.
In January 1991, the Warhawks transitioned to the F/A-18 and were redesignated Strike Fighter Squadron 97 (VFA-97). Today the Warhawks fly the F/A-18E Super Hornet out of NAS Lemoore, CA, and they are slated to be the first fleet squadron to transition to the F-35.
This is a fictional skin pack of Su-25Ts painted like the A-7E Corsair II in accordance with MIL-STD-2161A(AS) with VA-97 markings circa 1986. There are four different skins with unique Modexes (side numbers) and historically correct BuNos (serial numbers). This allows you to create packages of unique aircraft. Each skin has a "normal" version and a weathered version. Weathered skins have a bleached effect as if the aircraft were heavily exposed to the sun for months on end. Normal skins include pilots with green flightsuits, while weathered skins include pilots with desert flightsuits.
Most markings have been westernized, and the pilots have been given US style flightsuits with US markings. The helmet remains Russian made (but with a black oxygen mask).

Note: this skin pack uses an EXE installer that creates common texture folders and an autoexec.cfg (if you already have one, you can make manual changes). I would like your feedback on this system; if it works I intend to apply it to my other skin packs.

    22. 3GO-MW Su-27 Flanker model for DCS-World / FC3

      Su-27 Flanker for DCS-World (based on 3GO Su-27 v1.5 model) v.098e-7570

      How to "install":
(probaly you will need to "reinstall" if the Auto-updater touched your program)

Put all files into DCS World folder
      and
Please edit manually the following two files: Graphics.cfg and PlaneConst.lua
      (Step 2., 3., 4. is not essential)

      1.
Open graphics.cfg file with an editor in DCS World\Config folder and search for these rows:
      ...
      path = ".\\Bazar\\World\\textures\\WorldTexturesTGA3";
      path = ".\\Bazar\\World\\textures\\WorldTexturesTGA2";
      path = ".\\Bazar\\World\\textures\\WorldTexturesTGA";

      2.
Make a backup/copy of your original PlaneConst.lua file in DCS World\Scripts\Database folder

      3.
you will need to edit PlaneConst.lua file in DCS World\Scripts\Database folder ...search for row ~214 and edit gear position rows:
it should be look like after you edited:

      nose_gear_pos = {4.021, -2.175, 0},
(Nose Wheel and Main Wheel corrections - More real: "nose lowering" movement when braking, tyre "compression" and turning on ground)...known small bug: AI nose tyre touchdown

      4.
Delete original Su-27 liveries from ...Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Bazar\Liveries\su-27
Backup folders and files included here...Backup-Old-CMD-Su-27
(original 3D model files will not overwritten, except broken wings and seperated canopy model but these files are also in "Backup-Old-CMD-Su-27" folder)

    25. Ka-50 Colombian Air Force (Fictional)

This is a fictional skin for the Fuerza Aérea Colombiana Composite helicopter squadron using the current FAC grey paint scheme used for the Super Tucano. This is #3124 with a "shark mouth" on the nose. Nationalities are USA and Spain.

      Installation Instructions:
Copy the folders to your Saved Games\DCS\Liveries\Ka-50 folder.

      Optional:
The release of DCS World 1.2.4 added the ability to add texture paths using the file "autoexec.cfg" in your Saved Games\DCS\Config folder. This will allow you to save hard drive space as long as the skin filenames are unique. My skins support this, so any DDS file with the same name will be identical.

In order to enable this feature, add the following line to autoexec.cfg (be sure to create the file if it doesn't exist):
      table.insert(options.graphics.VFSTexturePaths, "C:/Users/<username>/Saved Games/DCS/Textures")
You can use any path (even a different drive), but you must use forward slashes for your path. Backslashes won't work here.

Then, you can move all of the DDS files from each of the skin folders to this new folder you've added to your path. Allowing overwrites is not a problem, as I use unique names for each file. Finally, be sure to go into each description.lua file and change all "false" entries to "true."

You are free to use any of these skins in other projects as long as proper credit is provided in the readme file.
