  1. ME109E 2 JG3

This skin represents 2/JG3 during the late Battle of Britain period. The scheme is the later RLM 74/75 Gray upper surfaces with RLM 65 lower surfaces. The nose and tail have been overpainted in RLM 04 yellow for ease of recognition. Lots of information is presented in the readme, please read it.

This skin, and all from this series I'm going to present, makes extensive use of Russouk2004's .psd file. All the detail work; panel lines, rivets, weathering, etc., is Russo's. I am indebted to him for allowing me to use these parts of his file without restriction. I painted the underlying camouflage and created the decals, which include numbers for 16 aircraft and kill markings up to thirty kills. Hopefully, someday, I will possess one third of Russo's skill at creating detail work, until then, I'm grateful he's allowed me to use his, so I can at least get a start in skinning.

I hope you enjoy this, and the others to come....

  2. ME109E 8 JG2

Second skin in a series for Russo's Me109e. This skin represents 8/JG2 during the summer of 1940 and uses the speckling technique of overpainting common to aircraft of this Geshwader. The base scheme is a standard RLM 71/02 upper surface with lower surfaces in RLM 65. Nose and tail overpainted in RLM 04. All colors in this series are based on the standard values found at SimmersPaintShop, but are interpreted by me as far as fading goes, so they will appear different from other skins, or profiles, you might have seen. Also, my aircraft numbers appear in a more random order, because this is how I feel aircraft were flown in the field.

All skins in this series borrow heavily from Russouk2004's .psd. I am indebted to him, and to Wrench, for their help. A full readme file is enclosed. If you want to mod this, feel free, I believe in the Freeware agreement I signed on to, just give credit where credit is due.

    Hope you like it.

  7. 9-JG54

Third skin in the series for the Battle of Britain Me-109e. This skin uses a different overpainting technique. The standard 71/02/65 scheme has been hastily overpainted on the sides in RLM 71 using a paintbrush. Two bitmaps are included in this skin; one with overpainting, the other a standard 71/02/65. You could use this standard paint scheme for any of your Me-109e skins, just rename 109ETexA.BMP by removing the A after renaming your original bitmap. Also enclosed is a complete readme.

My thanks go out to Russo, Wrench, and Gocad for the use of their files, and their help and ideas. Any questions or problems, pm me.

  12. JG2 and JG3 decal update

These files update the decals for my Me109e skins. I inadvertantly uploaded files with miskeyed decal levels for the kill markings that would prevent them from showing. I also uploaded an old version of the JG3 decal folder that lacked the kill marking decals. My apologies.

Just unzip these to a temporary directory and copy and paste the enclosed decal.ini and D folder into the proper skins folders. These have been tested and do work.
