By Fubar512After having released several sound packs and effects separately over the last two years, I've decided to combine everything into one, large package, allowing the user to pick and choose which sounds and which effects they wish to use, and to have the ability to integrate it with sounds and effects released by other modders. I've also provided a few ground objects to shoot at, which can also defend themselves to the fullest extant of their (sometimes limited) capabilities. I will provide instructions so that you can install all effects, sounds, and models.
Chaparral, M-42 Duster, KS-19, and the KS-30 models are courtesy of Pasko. Chaparral camo skin is by Badger343rd. The M1939 is an adaptation of Kesselbrut's 40mm Bofors model. The KS-12 85MM AAA is an adaptation of the original SF/WoV KS-19 100MM AAA model by Third Wire. The SAM airburst effect is courtesy of PistolPete, as are the Ship and Tanker Explosion effects. The original idea for the Uber AI mod came from Galanti, over two years ago. I've simply updated it to utilize parameters that have been added since then.
By DaveThis mod by Deuces makes your wingman call out your number in the flight in the event of a missile or SAM launch. Just put in your Flight folder in WOE/WOV/SF and fly.
By PolakThis is replacement of entire content of SPEECH folder for the above and replacement slightly altered of SPEECHSYSTEM.ini to be placed in FLIGHT folder.
Basically, I have altered each of the sounds changing them slightly to add some kind of authentic feel of VHF radio transmission. You be the judge if it sounds better. Few (30) real sound clips were added:
In the future installments I ... and you can add more of the clips when and if found. So for the time being I hope you enjoy what you find here.
By VegasbobThese are some enhanced engine sounds for Strike Fighters and WoV. If you have a subwoofer connected to your computer, these are a must have. They have a lot of rumble to them. I've also included some F-104 sounds as well.
By polaskiFinal: Changed sequence and cleaned up a bit (removed various tone sounds to lessen confusion with ingame tones). Now includes Stock Soundlist.ini with adjustments to it for this mod. Already in proper folders so unzip-drag and drop and it will overwrite.
2.0 UPDATE: Longer 23 minutes worth
This replaces stock windloop with 23 minutes of actual vietnam/modern era communications. Gives the game a really cool feel while in flight.
Changes needed in respective aircraft data.ini which need to be extracted via SFP1 extractor located in D/l utilities section.
EXAMPLE: A-4B Data.ini
WindSoundName=windloop <----- This line needs to be added in aircraft data.ini
NOTE: Engine noise may overshadow this sound...you will need to decrease volume level for all engine sounds including afterburner.
This can be done with sound recorder which is included in windows...it can be found under start/programs/accessories/entertainment. Open the engine sound and decrease volume level to your liking then save.
As always backup originals in case you don't like it.

By Klavs81English Language Wingman Sound Mod by Adam Burch
Simply place the contents of the Speech folder in the zip file into your wov/woe/woi speech folder. Backup your Speech folder first.
1. All 3 wingman voices are the same for now, but I believe them to be slightly less annoying. You may disagree, hence; BACKUP YOUR SPEECH FOLDER prior to installation!
2.Some callsigns have been changed, Awacs is now DARKSTAR, reflecting more modern AWACS call signs. A forthcoming AWACS speech pack will address the AWACS voice.
3.The radio may be a bit loud for you It comes in loud and clear over my (quiet) engine noises, so you may want to turn down your sound effects. I never really needed to hear much beyond my sidewinder tone and RWR anyway. All other speech is quiet by comparison.
4. This is a BETA release, so please email or PM me with any problems or suggestions, just remember: It's a BETA!
All other speech packs forthcoming. (i.e. when I bloody well get to 'em!) :)
By Spillone104This is my 3rd sound collection for SFP1/WOV/WOE/WOI.
In the pack are included several aircraft sounds of the Cold War period plus sound for a 7.62mm MG a new sound for the M-61 Vulcan and one for SAM missiles recorded from a SA-3.
Hope you enjoy these sounds.

New sounds for SFP1/WOV/WOE/WOI
Simply pick and choose which sounds you'd like to replace and add them to the Sounds or Flight Folder.
Backup your old files first!!
Hangar Noise Sounds: Updated to include Taxiing F-16s, Flybys of A-10s and F-16s Sound a little more modern and realistic.
IR Sounds: A more realistic warbling sidewinder tone, from my earlier sidewinder soundpack
Explosion Sounds: More muted, but taken from audio of a real Air Force gunnery range
Breathing: Changed to simulate the G-Strain muscle excercise modern pilots undergo during high-g. I have Lt. Smeeding to thank for his educational (and hilarious) centrifuge video tape to get this one just right without sounding super annoying.
Loading sound: F-16 startup.
By GuestNew engine sounds for Strike fighters and WoV. Drop in Sounds folder and crank it up!!!
By MK2This is a re worked IR Growl Lock sound file. It will allow you to hear when you are locked on to an enemy plane with IR missles much easier. Works MUCH better than the original (in my opinion). It has increased my kill ratio in game.
By Spillone104Another collection of jet sounds covering various modern and old aircrafts.
GE J-47 F-86, B-47
P&W J-75 F-105, F-106
GE F110 F-14, F-16
EJ200 Eurofighter Typhoon
RR Viper MB-326, MB-339, Jet Provost/Strikemaster
RR Adour BAe Hawk, Jaguar
Lyulka AL-7 Su-7, Su-9, Tu-128
Lyulka AL-31F Su-27 series
Atar09K50 Super Etendard (Atar08k50), modernized MIII, Mirage F-1
PUMP UP THE VOLUME!!!
This soundpack is meant to supersede my previous soundpacks (sfp1_spv1 & sfp1_spv2), and is specifically tailored for, and was tested on, Wings Over Vietnam with Service Pack 1, and Strike Fighters with Service Pack 3.
What's new in this version? Correct tracer colors for WoV, new tracer colors for Nato MG's, more intense flak effects, adjusted volumes (hoooray!), new sounds for: all stock MiGs, A-4s, NR-30 cannon.
Installation Notes: Before you begin, I strongly suggest that you have Skypat's SFP1E extraction utility (available at http://www.checksix-fr.com/ ), and familiarize yourself with its operation. You're going to find it indispensable!
TO INSTALL: simply extract the contents of this zip file into your Strike Fighters or WoV folder. That's all!
Warning: It will overwrite the following files (if you have them). Please back up the following, by dragging them to a safe place on your system:
1) Your entire "sounds" folder.
2) In your flight folder, backup your "soundlist.ini"
3) In your objects folder, backup your "gundata.ini"
If you don't find the last two, don't worry, you're just running a default installation
By AladarThese files will replace the "I've been hit" or "Taking damage" audio. I at first replaced the "I'm ejecting" audio but found that those files are almost never heard (I purposefully lost dozens of 8 ship flights and never heard that audio clip". These were taken from Vietnam dogfight audio sequences, they work perfectly for me, so here's hoping they do for y'all too.
By RetrogadeBYE BYE Bubba- New Wingman Voices for SFG1
This file will allow you to replace all of the stock "Bubba" Wingman voice files with these new sound files I have recorded with a few of my friends. They will provide much more variety to the stock speech files. I am not sure if they will work in SFG2 unless it uses the same speech format.
Extract using WinRar to a temporary location.
Backup your original "Speech" Folder in SFG
Drag and Drop these new files into your old
SFG>SPEECH Folder and overwrite the old ones.
Note: These files do not replace ALL of the stock speech files only the wingmen call outs!
Renegade for the Recording and Voicework
Flasheart and PsychLep for their voices as well.
We had alot of fun making these!
*This is my very first upload... please report any problems in the comment section.
By polaskiUPDATE: Equalized all wav. files volume level was uneven throughout. Changed HangarRadio1 to general AFVN radio broadcasts.
New John Phillip Sousa's
New menu sounds for WOV also includes pilotscreen comical interview with fictional Air Force pilot during that era. Mix of Vietnam era music from my personal collection.
Unzip into sounds folder and thats it. Backup originals in case you don't like this selection.
NOTE: Air Force interview is colorful to say the least.
By Eagle114thFirst beta sound pack, made by STP (Sound Team Project) for SF1 (and can possibly be used in VOW as well).
By GuestHere is the only third party speech pack for Strike Fighters to date: it includes files that will turn your Strike Fighters experience "Red"! The files are freeware from the EECH Helicopter Sim, converted by me for use in Strike Fighters.
The Russian Speech Pack will replace all stock speech files, so it is highly recommended that a clean install of Strike Fighters is used for your "Soviet Strike Fighters Project" experience.
Now be warned - this Speech Pack is for immersion only. Whilst the phrases are actual Russian, and actual combat/flight phrases, the probably will not make much sense to an actual Russian speaker. Due to the different way SF builds a sentance compared to EECH, and my limited Russian, many phrases will be gramatically incorrect. No complaints from Russian speakers, ok! They sure sound good when you're flying a MiG though!
Also, the sound quality is not as good as stock SF speech, must be those Russki radios! And you'll have to read the radio chatter to know what's going on....
1/ Back up your Speech Folder - or preferably do a clean install of SF for the Soviet Strike Fighters Project.
2/ Unzip the Gramps Speech Pack file. Copy the files from the Speech Pack folder and paste them into the Speech Folder.
3/ Go on a mission and defend The Rodina!
Also in the file is a new Russian mainscreen wav file:
The Soviet National Anthem (recently re-introduced by Putin as the Russian National Anthem). The file was a MP3 file from Timaham's Funet Russian Archive site, converted into WAV format for use in Strike Fighters.
This version is music only, I personally use a version by The Red Army Choir (also from Timaham's site), which was a 3.5MEG MP3 file I again converted to WAV for use in Strike Fighters. I had hoped to have this version available for download, but the MP3 came to 19MEG when converted to WAV - too big for me to upload unfortunately. If you have a sound editor and can convert files yourself, go to Timaham's site:
and download this MP3 file and convert it yourself. There are also other version available but The Red Army Choir's version is the best, IMHO. As stated, SF uses WAV format files, and they need to be 8 bit stereo, and unsigned.
1/ Back up your Mainscreen WAV found in the Menu Folder. The Mainscreen BMP is in a cat file, so no need to back up.
2/ Copy and paste both Mainscreen files from my zip into the Menu Folder, and you're good to go.
3/ I have made this WAV file to replace the stock mainscreen WAV file, if you like my file and would like it to play in other screens, just copy and rename to whatever screen you want the music to play in (such as BaseScreen, CreditsScreen, SingleMissionScreen etc.)
Please comment my file.
By polaskiMission start on carriers: You will now hear flight deck communications.
FINAL ver.1.0 : Complete with underlying noise and added additional voice.
I've included modded stock WOV soundlist ini. to include as follows:
Original sounds were provided with Digital Overload CVN-75 which is available here:
You must change any/all carrier addons or stock as per below in the respective carrier data.ini
Stock data.ini can be extracted via SFP1 extract utility.
CVNAmbient.WAV Goes into sounds folder
Soundlist.ini Goes into flight folder
MUCH THANKS TO DIGITAL OVERLOAD!!!
For some reason or another, I can't succesfully update my previous speech pack from last night when it was reported broken, so I'm uploading another one. If this comes up broken as well, yell at me.
This Speech pack was originally made by Klavs81. What I did to them
was lower the volume so that you can hear the rest of the speech that
wasn't altered by Klavs81 and not lose your hearing at the same time.
This should really be an update to his file, but since I don't have
access to it. I'll post it up seperately. Make sure you back-up your
stuff though before you add this file, incase you don't like it. Oh, and
by the way, this was very... tedious.
Installation is pretty simple. Just copy the folder called Speech and
drop into your SFP1(G)/WOV/WOE/WOI folder.
