    1. Wings Over Vietnam Enhanced Planning Maps

      Enhanced planning maps for the stock Wings Over Vietnam SEA Terrain, Version 1.0.
       
      This is a very basic supplement to make it easier to design WOV SEA missions. Paint Shop Pro 9 was used to combine the stock planning maps with text to mark key target areas. Kreelin's WOVQMD was used to identify target area locations and names based on the terrain files. The text is 50% transparent, which makes it a light gray tone.
       
      The low resolution map looks ok in the game... But I suggest using the higher resolution map (MAP2) for mission planning. The optimum WOVQMD mission design solution is using a desktop resolution of 1600x1200 with MAP2.

    2. Zmatt's Tweaked HDR mod for SFP1 and SF2

      First off, I didn't create any of this stuff. The enbseries mod is a DirectX 9 .dll mod made by Vorontsov Boris for use in any number of games. All credit goes to him for this. You can find more information at his website here:

      **********Overview**********
       
      This is an upload with my personal enseries.ini file. It is all of the tweaks that I have made to get what I think is the best combination of performance and eye candy. If you need any help installing or tweaking the file beyond what is included in this humble readme then I recommend going here: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showtopic=43231
       
      All needed files are included in this .zip. You don't need to download anything else to get pretty HDR goodness.
       
      **********Installation**********
       
       
      For Sfp1 and derivatives:
       
      Drop the d3d9.dll in the root directory of your installation.
      For WoE that would be C:\Program Files\Wings Over Europe\
       
      Now drop the enbseries.ini inside your flight folder.
       
      Start the game and enjoy!
       
       
      For SF2 and derivatives:
       
      The file structure for SF2 has been changed a lot and requires you to place the files in an alternative location
       
      For Windows Vista and Windows 7:
       
      Take both files and drop them in Users/xxyournamexxx/Saved Games/Thirdwire/SF2x/Flight folder
      Where "yourname" is the name of your user account
       
       
       
      For Windows XP: (Thanks to X RAY)
       
      d3d9.dll goes in the root directory. enbseries.ini in the flight folder under the mods folder.
       
      **********Use**********
       
      The key combo SHIFT+F12 toggles the mod on and off.
       
      **********Tweaking**********
       
      If you want to mess with the .ini yourself then here is a good place to start.The [EFFECT] section lists the different effects that enbseries is capable of. A value of 0 disable the function and a Value of 1 enables it. As shipped in this mod it looks like this:

      Taken from the enbseries site:
       
      "EnableBloom=(0,1) enables bloom effect, blurring bright screen areas and adding result back to screen, simulating illumination of some objects. It works very fast on modern hardware, but wrong setting or bad drivers will result in overbrighting or some other artifacts. Not uses HDR textures and that's why hardware compatibility is high.
       
      EnableOcclusion=(0,1) enables screen space ambient occlusions (ssao) and screen space indirect lighting (ssil), this makes shadows and lighting between nearest objects. This effect uses by few modern games, mostly on next-gen game consoles, so it's very slow. Performance directly depends from display resolution, number of pixels drawn on screen, so to run this at HD resolutions you need modern videocard from high price category. It's require support of shaders 3_0, but even if you have it, it's not guarantee fast performance. If too slow for you, reduce display resolution and quality of this effect, even disable it. Hardware compatibility is limited, different drivers and videocards have problems and limited features that result in artifacts. For example antialiasing (multisampling) for HDR textures supported only by DirectX10 compatible videocards and enabled antialiasing in game or in video drivers panel will produce strange artifacts.
       
      EnableReflection=(0,1) reflection of vehicles. Developed for GTA San Andreasm GTA 3, GTA Vice City, but in some games also works, of course not for cars. Performance highly depends from multiple quality setting of this effect and number of objects drawn. More reflective objects on screen, slower speed. Real time 3d rendering works faster when number of objects is low, but their vertex number is high, for example 10 objects with 10 millions of vertices every will draw about the same speed as 3000 objects with 3 vertices each, for reflection on shaders may be used multiple drawing of the same object. In this case performance highly depends from CPU and system memory speed. Per pixel lighting in newest versions of ENBSeries may be faster for some videocards. About bug solving see another section of this documentation.
       
      EnableMotionBlur=(0,1) blurring image in fast motion of camera. On modern videocard not too much decrease speed, but costly. Current version of this effect have many problems, not working in most games, wrong, affect HUD, later will be changed. On some videocards do not work correctly, if you have some problems, try to disable.
       
      EnableWater=(0,1) enable water effects, developed for GTA San Andreas only, but may appear in some other game, not for water surface. Depending from it's presets may affect speed very much, by itself it's fast, but for deepness factor it need scene depth information. Good way to compencate losts for depth is to use scene depth for other effects in parallel (shadows, ssao, dof). Modified water textures or water material (object) setting may produce unpredictable results.
       
      EnableShadow=(0,1) enable shadow effects, their blurring and color changing. This is not truly soft shadows, because soft shadows have blurring range dependency from distance between shadow caster and shadow receiver objects. Speed depends from quality setting, it use scene depth information for some setting, so performance varies. This effect may work in some other games that use stencil shadows.
       
      DepthBias=(0..1000) shifts objects when drawing scene depth, offset relative to camera viewpoint. For some videocards and drivers, combination of ENBSeries presets, may need to remove flickering and hiding artefacts of ambient occlusions. Try to set 100 if something wrong happens. This parameter not affect speed.
       
      EnableDepthOfField=(0,1) enable eye focusing effect. This effect affect performance a lot, because it need scene depth information. Whe used together with other effects that also require scene depth, performance is not too much affected."
       
       
       
      Motion blur, depth of field and occlusion have odd side effects with the SF1 engine. Water is useless as it is meant for GTA only.

    5. WoI IsraelME Targets Enhancement Pak

      IsrealME Terrain Upgrade for WoI
       
      This is an expansion of WoI's stock "lsrealME" map, with the addition of Isreali Air Defense units. I've added them in what I believe to be a sensible, logical manner, defending large cities, airbase, factories & POL depots, army bases, and generaly trying to give the civilian population some kind of protection. I've also made sure the Isreali airfields have a "ActiveYear=0" for all their AAA positions; as the game will usually fill them with the nearly useless M-55 Quad 50. Adding other AA units is reccomended :yes::) See next paragraph....
       
      It is reccomended (read: REQUIRED) that you have Pasko's SAMs and Vehicles Pak installed in your GroundObject folder; expecially the Desert skinned vehicles, plus any additional vehicles such as Kesselbrut's ZIL truck pak, Moonjumper's fix for the BM-14-16 (adds working Kytusha rockets) and any other SAMS or AAA, vehicles or whatever strikes your fancy. See "Items You'll Want to Get" below. I've also included several things from it, just because I like having these objects around in-game, as some a set to be used on the map (parked vehicles and such). There is even a new vehicle, the Tiran 4/5 MBT!
       
      It is designed to use either the Bunyap or Mirage Factory Weapons Pak; some of the names for the IDF air defenses (ie: the HAWKs and their associated radars) and their 'arrangements', are taken from Nick Bell's 'NATO Air Defense Mod'; these are the names used for the 2 HAWK radars. In addition, I've included 2 new Infantry units - one generic Arab and one IDF, based off Kesselbrut's 'Infanty Squads'. I've replaced the RPG/LAW with an automatic rifle. I've also given you my fully updated gundata.ini and gundata.dat files, which have all the needed guns. I've also included the weapons data for the AT-3 'Sagger" anti-tank missile, so you'll be using the weapons editor -- make double damn sure it's the WoI one!!!
       
      Remember - this is for WoI ONLY!!! It won't work on anything else!! So don't even think about tryin' it!!!
       
      You all know the drill....I spent a good deal of time writing a real nice, informative, descriptive, step-by-step readme to aid in installing the package.....so read the cursed thing!!!!!! You know what they say....a man can get lost in that desert for 40 years...and no one would ever find him....

    7. Kashmir terrain

      Kashmir terrain is made for WOE.
      =========================
       
      This terrain is made as part of the tutorial "My way to create a terrain" which you can find in the Knowledge Base of Combatace Forum.
      This terrain is full operational, but not finished. If someone want to use it as basic for making a full developed India vs Pakistan terrain, so feel free to use this terrain.
      As i have promised you will find 3 airbases and 3 industrial target areas for each side. I have installed one shipping line, 2 truck convoi routes and 2 panzer battle routes.
      I put in the Texturelist and the Citieslist, so that you has all neccessary files for further work with the Terrain editor.

      This mod when activated enables the Bloom feature ingame, a color correction
       
      and an antialias filter, so you can enjoy the sunshine.
       
      Those settings are configurable through ini file.
       
      YOU MUST HAVE A RECENT GRAPHIC CARD THAT INCORPORATES PIXEL SHADING FEATURE TO USE THIS MOD!

      -Drop D3D9.dll file directly into you TW game folder

      Shift-F12 to activate/desactivate it ingame. You can tweak the ini file to configure settings as you wish.
       
      Caution!!:This mod eats graphic card for breakfust and CPU for lunch, i would advise you not to use it if
       
      you are under 50FPS during general playing without it. It would make 50frames to drop to 30 frames approximatively,
       
      If you are at 30 frames you would drop to 20 frames, so don't be surprised.

    14. New Korean Tile set based on Deuce's Enhanced WoV tiles

      This is not "Historically Correct" nor meant to be. It was made to add a bit more of a "Korean flavour" to the fine work of fng2k, Edward and the other community members who've contributed to the new Korean theatre. It is -- a sometimes extensive -- repaint of Deuce's "Enhanced" WoV tiles with the addition of new dirt airfield textures, plus custom specular lighting effects on the sea and river tiles. There are still a few misplaced tiles but I've not got the time (or knowledge) to sort these out.

      Israel terrain covers the territory of Israel, the Sinai Penisula, the most part of the Nil Delta, Soth Lebanon, West Syria and West Jordan.

      I decided to make some new tiles for Israel terrain. An Oasis that Camels have something to drink in the desert, Snow for the Mt Hermon and the highest Mountains of Lebanon and vegetation for the hills in north Israel and the Lebanon.
      I also included the most aditional targetareas which i had made for Suez terrain for instance Radio Kairo, Radio Tel Aviv, Ports of Ashquelon, Ashdod, Netanya, Industy sites at Haifa, Tel Aviv, Gizeh, Helwan, Zifra, El Kubra etc.
      To get the big explosion on destruction of Dimona Nuclear Reactor you need a nuke effect.

    19. Bombing Range Terrain

      This started as a post by Aladar on the SIMHQ forum and quickly turned into what I would consider a very important add-on for Strike Fighters. The difficulty in weapon delivery for this era screamed for an area for virtual pilots to practice and hone their A2G skills.
       
      There are two versions of the terrain, one for friendly aircraft called Bombing Range and one for enemy aircraft called Red Range. Both are installed when you run the installation program. It is important to remember that only friendly aircraft such as NATO forces can be flown on the Bombing Range and only enemy aircraft such as Soviet forces may be flown on the Red Range.
       
      The Range Terrain consists on an airfield and main range complex. A variety of targets are available for bombing. Intercept missions against a drone aircraft are available when flying the included pre-built single missions.

    20. Isreal2 ver 2.5 by Gepard

      Isreal 2 Terrain Upgrade for WoI -- Version 2.5
       
      This update/rebuild is designed to REPLACE the one I released in March, 2008.
       
      This is an extensive expansion of Gepard's "Isreal 2" full-scale map he made several years ago for Strike Fighters. What this will do, is allow its usage in WoI (or any of the other games, for that matter). There has also been a massive 'cleanup' of several of the additonal airfields as originally issued. I've removed, for the most part, all but one runway where there were mulitples.
       
      Several new items have been added to the types ini, allowing the 1948-1967 timeframe for Historical missions and Campaigns in the Middle East region. This IS the full terrain =complete with tiles, tods, hm bmps in short, everything needed to correct pre-patch errors, and is designed to replace to earlier version, dated March 2008. This is updated to the latest standards, post 8/28/08 patch for WoI and WoV/WoE. This build repairs the sinking into the terrain, odd elevations and other funny business. Those still using SF will not benefit from this upgrade, and will not get the game generated parked aircraft.
       
      It has been extensively upgraded, with new movement, targets and types ins. Water effects are active, so Vista users take note...more information for you is below in the Install Instructions. See "Notes for Vista Users" below.
      Contraindicated: post-patch, the water effects for Vista users seem to be working.
       
      It is reccomended (read: REQUIRED) that you have Pasko's SAMs and Vehicles Pak installed in your GroundObject folder; expecially the Desert skinned vehicles, plus any additional vehicles such as Kesselbrut's ZIL truck pak, Infantry paks, Moonjumper's fix for the BM-14-16 (adds working Kytusha rockets) and any other SAMS or AAA, vehicles or whatever strikes your fancy. The SAMs are pretty important, as there are several batteries that call out for the SA-3 specifically, and the stock in-game SA-2s along the "SAM Fence" at the Suez Canal (although, they should be outside the historical year range I've designed it for this; call it a "backdated map"). As such, this map should be usable in the timeframes of 1948-2050.
      Please note: the ground objects included in the March 2008 build are NOT included with this version.
       
      It is designed to use either the Bunyap or Mirage Factory Weapons Pak; some of the names for the IDF air defenses (ie: the HAWKs and their associated radars) and their 'arranements', are taken from Nick Bell's 'NATO Air Defense Mod'; these are the names used for the 2 HAWK radars.
       
      As stated above, it is =specifically= designed for use with Wings Over Isreal. It has -also- been tested in SF, WoE and WoV, but to have the proper feel, use it in WoI only.
       
      Remember: this terrain IS designed with the 1948-1966 timeframe in mind; although there ARE many target areas still active for later years (ie: Canal SAM Fence, possibly the Cyprus airfields), but the WoI IsraelME terrain works best for 1967 and later years. As it was designed to.
       
      As always, there's an extensive, highly detailed readme with step-by-step instructions. You all should know what to do by this point.

      AFGHANISTAN Terrain IS MADE FOR WINGS OVER ISRAEL (WOI) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
      This package is a work in progress preview. It should allow you a short view into this project. It is far away to be finished. Also, dont worry if you find bugs.

      From December 1979 till now Afghanistan is a land in war. Soviets, Dushmans, Mudjahedin, Warlords, Taliban and Americans (OEF) destroyed the once florish land nearly completly.
       
      -At the moment i have only 2 airbases operational as skeleton airfields. They still have to be finished.
      -The terrain is only made between Bagram and Jalalabad. There you will find Taliban pockets of resistance.
      - Missions which can be flown are CAS, Armed Recon, Recon, Strike,SEAD
      -Air to air missions are impossible, because no taliban airfield is set (as historical correct)
       
      -I recommend a seperate installation of WOI for Afghanistan terrain. The new nations.ini would otherwise make trouble with other terrains. (I set all nations = friendly, only Afghanistan= Enemy
      So you can fly for the Soviets and the OEF troops( USA,UK,NL etc) against the same Enemy)
      You can delete not needed planes (for instance Mirages) and groundobjects (SAM, Radar,most tanks etc) and you can include needed planes, like the Mi-24 or the A-10 more easily.

      This is a weather and 3D-cloud replacement for SFP4 and WOV
       
      My intention was to use 3D-clouds only. Horizonclouds on scattered and broken are removed. The coverage of the 3D-clouds span now almost to the horizon. Added 3D-clouds also to overcast. Inclement has denser 3D-clouds now, but slightly encreased view-distance. Lots of other changes as well (haze, sky, fog etc.). I did as I like it, so it is very much a matter of taste...............

    23. Deutschland Terrain Version 1.0 (Germany for SFP1/WoV)

      This is the first release of Deutschland terrain. It is freeware and intended as stop gap filler till "Wings over Europe" will be available outside the USA.
      It is made for SFP1, but can also used for WOV.
       
      *In comparision to beta v 0.75 i included some more ground tiles (Towns at rivers, 3 new tiles) The map is reworked a little bit.
      *The Rhine Valley between Koblenz and Bingen is now flowing more or less into the valley and not more over the hills. It is not perfect, but much better than before. (23 new tiles) It is a funny place for hedgehopping. In a further update i will include the castles for which the Rhine Valley is famous for.
      *The number of target areas is now 248 instead 186 in Betav0.75.
      *New targets are civil ports in the GDR and the FRG, Antenna fields in the GDR. 2 naval bases in the East and one in the West (At this place i want to say thank you Capun and Mike Whl who gave me the permission to use their Osa and Koni ships as static targets)
      *I placed some ponton complexes on the map (Again thank you to Polak, who mad the pontons originally for my Israel terrain)
      *West Germany got a SAM defence
      *additional east german Industry is added
      *some big barrack complexes are placed at the map, including one of the longest buildings in the world Prora which you will find near the big eastern bay at island of Rügen
      *The CoolingTowers of the powerplants now have smoke. (Thanks to Darreck for the CoolingTowers) The smoke is not yet perfect (The exhaust time is to short) But i hope that this problem can be solved.
       
      *I found some bugs, like the Hawk launcher or Shilkas at the runway and solved the problem. Some files for troubleshooting you find in the subfolder "Special" in Deutschland folder
       
       
      With this release of Deutschland terrain this terrain is far away to be complete. Germany is a so heavy populated contry that the number of target areas could be increased to 1000 or 10.000 and you would not have all possible targets.
      I have concentrated my work on the east of Germany, the former GDR. I also invested a lot of time in the northern part of West Germany and the Rhine Valley, the former FRG. Bavaria and Thuringia are nearly untouched. You see, there is still a lot to do.

      Finally i want to say thank you to all who supported Deutschland terrain with files and hints. And of course a big thank you to TK and his team for the development of the SFP1

    24. WOE Highway Airfield Mod

      Updated for Sept 08 Patch
       
      This is a mod to Wings Over Europe's GermanyCE Terrain, that modifies 13 sections of highway into airstrips that are usable for single missions, any mission editor, and campaigns. The runway size is set to SMALL, so only aircraft with a "MinBaseSize=SMALL" can use them. This mod does not modify any of the stock campaigns to use the new runways, but I did include instructions if you would like to do this.

    25. Deutschland terrain update from v1.0 to v1.01

      DEUTSCHLAND TERRAIN

      This is a minor update to fixe some problems and include a few new features.
      I also included a little Campaign written for Deutschland terrain.
       
      Version 1.01
       
      * fixed problem with runway of Bitburg in middle of nowhere
      * fixed some not fitting woodtiles on the terrain
      * included parked F-104 as static targets on some western airbases
      * added parked Hunters and Lightnings to RAF bases
      * added buildings to the big bases of Bitburg, Spangdahlem, Zweibrücken, Ramstein, Gütersloh, Wildenrath, Brüggen and Laarbruch
       
       
      Campaign Oktoberaufstand 1956/Octoberrevolution 1956
       
      It is a fictional campaign based on the idea, what could had been happen if the revolution in Hungary 1956 would have found a replica in East Germany.
      To fly this campaign you need following additional planes:
      * F-86F
      * F-84F
      * F-84G
      * MiG-15bis
       
      used standard planes are MiG-17F,B-57 and IL-28
       
      You can fly the F-86F for the Bundesluftwaffe or the MiG-15bis for the LSK/LV.

      Open Deutschland terrain update to v1.01.zip.
      Unzip all files of Deutschland terrain v1.01.zip into your Deutschland folder.
      Unzip all files of Campaign Oktober_1956 for Deutschland terrain.zip into your campaign folder.
