This project is designed to provide a hassle free way of obtaining every 3rd party released weapon and gun. It will be updated after every aircraft release to include the newly created ordnance, gun types, and fuel tanks. All data is checked and verified by experts to provide the most realistic weapons effects and performance possible.
DO NOT USE IN STRIKE FIGHTERS 2!
This weapons pack will not run with the 2008 patched Thirdwire sim unless you run it through latest weapons editor found here. If you are using the latest patch then do not use the data.ini files that the weps pack comes with.

This is an All-Inclusive MOD of the Falkland War. The MOD contains all major aircrafts and groundunits of the conflict.
All objects in this pack (aircrafts, houses, vehicles, tiles, textures….) are free, but that means they are not freeware. If you want to use something out of the pack for your own MOD please ask for a written permission by me via PM at the combatace forum. I will forward your request to the owner of the model you want to use.
The pack will run without errors on SFP1 and SFP Gold only. At WOV you will need a C-130 otherwise the Game crashes during the campaign. At WOE and WOI it will run only after heavy manual cut and paste work….
Installaton:
Do a clean SFP1 installation
install SP4
rename the folder as "Falkland 1982"
delete missions - folder
delete campaigns - folder
delete /objects/decals - folder
delete /objects/aircraft - folder
delete /objects/groundojects - folder
delete /objects/weapons - folder
copy the unpacked files into your "Falkland 1982" folder

Notes:
In the Canberra B you can switch between Pilot and Bombadier with "Hook" key
single mission year is 1983 - because the only British base was build in May - if you have
a missiondate before 29th May - the game CTD - self created missions (with mission date) will work normaly - you have to take off from a carrier before 29th May
The infantry units have too much speed - when I use normal Footslogger speed there are no ground battles.
All Groundunits are optimated for the game - so they may not realistic.
All Carriers have zero speed - because they cruise wild through the
ship formations.
During the Campaign the groundunits won't attack - in WOI it all works normal.
The Harrier and SUE have no Groundradar

I'm currently working at the WOI version, but I have multible problems
- The A-4 flightmodels are cruel
- same for the SUE
- same for the Harriers
- The Canberra Bombbay shows no load
- no Thrust Vectoring
- Carrier take offs mostly accidential (carriers maybe not fully supported)
So a SP5 version of the mod will released 2 months after SP release.

Version 1.4 with TCS mod and updated flight model changes. This TCS mod provides a boresighted view only and does not (yet) track selected targets. The Radar Warning Receiver (RWR) has been updated and includes the implementation originally developed by wpnssgt. Flight model updates developed by Aleckx have also been incorporated which more accurately represents the fleet operational F-14D.
This is an update of the earlier F-14D mod to the Mirage Factory F-14A and corrects several inaccuracies. The earlier F-14D release more closely represented the capabilities of the "Quick Strike variant which never actually went further than "view-graph engineering" and would have been a half step to the later Tomcat-21 which also never made it off of the drawing boards. If you like that variation you may wish to rename it as the Quick Strike 2, recognizing that it never actually flew. Land Warrior also has uploaded a Quick Strike version.
This variation of the original F-14A represents the capabilities of the last operational configuration to guard the fleet; the F-14D "Bombcat", which included the capability to drop bombs and laser guided bombs. Other advanced weapons available at the time, such as Mavericks and Harms, were never incorporated into the F-14D due to budget limitations. The F-14D's strike debut was in Operation Desert Fox that went into Iraq against chemical weapons facilities identified by the UN teams in 1998. This aircraft was withdrawn from fleet service in 2006 and replaced by the F-18F in the air to air and medium strike roles.
This release also incorporates the outstanding avionics upgrade done by Sandmartin and Batman1978, special thanks to them for their fine work and for granting permission to include that in this release.
This model is a minor tweak only of the ini files to update the engines, radars and weapons
to enable the full air to ground capabilities that were fielded in this aircraft. This does not include the detailed airframes changes of the later aircraft, that is left to a more capable modelling team at which point this version will be withdrawn. This release assumes you have already loaded the Mirage Factory F-14A, without which things like sounds will not come up.
Just unzip this entire folder into your WOE/Ojects/Aircraft folder.
Note -1. The avionics upgrade by Sandmartin and Batman1978 uses the avionics70 file to provide improved HUD and air to air radar and tracking capabilities. This mod does not have the air to surface radar capability of the earlier avionics60 file used in the earlier versions. Since the F-14D in its later years was primarily employed as a medium strike aircraft (air opposition having evaporated) the lack of an air to surface radar is a limitation of the sim with the newer avionics file. IF you like the option of having air to surface radar, the original files are included in the "Alternate Cockpit" subdirectory with a detailed read-me for how to back-up and install cockpit variations. If you like this option, let me know. Also, this avionics70 mod does NOT work in a Wings Over Vietnam only install. So if you are using a WoV install you will need to use the alternate cockpit using the avionics60 version. The TCS mod works in both versions.
Note; the missile stations are designed to pick up Active Radar Homing missiles and will employ the AIM-7 and AIM-54 series air to air missiles. The model here will also pick up the AIM-120 series in the sim, but the aircraft was never wired or certified to carry that missile. So if you want the realism, don't load that one.

Pit is one made by the MF. This pit is stand in until we get a good Foxbat pit. But with MJ's pit tweaks its works just well.
You must have the latest wep pack in order for it to work. Also on the 2 seat version make sure you have the latest vid drivers as there was an issue with it when you take a screen shot. Not sure what it is. But is all I could come up with as a solution.

This is a Beta Release, I have to appologize that I simply don't have the time at present to finish up the cockpit, but I hope to have it finished someday! Meantime, I'm happy with the flight model, radar and weapon delivery, I'm afraid the AI is somewhat lacking when it comes to engaging with AA missiles from the weapons bays.
Templates are included.
A few notes about flying the F-35:
This model has only been confirmed to work in 1st Generation TW Sims (SFP1/WOx). It has not been fully tested in 2nd generation sims (SF2,SFV).
The AI still has problems in hard mode doing an approach to landing in the A and B models. We are still working on that.
The B model VTOL mode has been made to be very similiar to the real thing in terms of performance. What that means is don't try VTOL mode fully loaded out...you won't get anywhere...literally. Plan to be publically ridiculed if you post a question on the forum asking how to do to a vertical takeoff fully loaded.
Also, the real thing will not allow you to engage afterburner in VTOL...this limitation was not possible to implement in the TW sims. What that means is if you go to afterburner while in VTOL mode...bad things will happen VERY quickly.
Speaking of the B model, for some reason, the nozzle will not animate open or closed. Several things have been tried to get it to work with no success...we are not sure why this is broken, especially since it works in the other models.

The Boeing F/A-18E/F Super Hornet is a supersonic carrier-capable fighter/attack aircraft. The F/A-18E/F Super Hornet is a
larger and more advanced derivative of the F/A-18C/D Hornet. The Super Hornet entered service with the United States Navy in
1999, replacing the F-14 Tomcat since 2006 and will serve alongside the original Hornet. The Super Hornet was ordered in 2007
by the Royal Australian Air Force to replace its aging F-111 fleet.
Airframe changes.The forward fuselage is unchanged while the wing, center and aft fuselage, tail surfaces and power plants
are new. The wing area of the Super Hornet is 25% larger.The fuselage was stretched to carry more fuel and room for future
avionics upgrades. An engine with 35% more power, the General Electric F414, was developed from the Hornet's F404 to power
this larger, heavier aircraft.The Super Hornet can return to an aircraft carrier with a larger load of unspent fuel and
munitions than the original Hornet. The term for this ability is known as "bringback". Bringback for the Super Hornet is in
excess of 9,000 pounds (4,000 kg).
Other differences include rectangular intakes for the engines, a reduced radar cross section (RCS), two extra wing hard
points for payload, and other aerodynamic changes.One of the most significant of which is the inclusion of significantly
enlarged leading edge extensions (LEX) which provide improved vortex lifting characteristics in high angle of attack
maneuver, and reduce the static stability margin to enhance pitching characteristics. This results in pitch rates in excess
of 40 degrees per second.[ In the end, the Super Hornet shared little with earlier F/A-18s aft of the forward fuselage. The
Super Hornet has 42% fewer structural parts than the original Hornet design.Flight characteristics include being highly
departure resistant through its flight envelope, and having high angle-of-attack with care free flying qualities for combat
and ease of training.
Radar signature reduction measures
Survivability is an important feature of the Super Hornet design. The US Navy says that a "balanced approach" to
survivability was built in to the design.This means that it does not rely on low-observable technology such as stealth
systems-to the exclusion of other survivability factors. Instead, its design incorporates a combination of stealth, advanced
electronic-warfare capabilities, reduced ballistic vulnerability, the use of standoff weapons, and innovative tactics that
cumulatively and collectively enhance the safety of the fighter and crew.
The F/A-18E/F's radar cross section was reduced greatly from some aspects, mainly front and rear.The design of the engine
inlets reduce the aircraft's forward sector radar cross section. The alignment of the leading edges of the engine inlets is
designed to scatter radiation to the sides. Fixed fanlike reflecting structures in the inlet tunnel divert radar energy away
from the rotating fan blades.
The Super Hornet also makes considerable use of panel join serration and edge alignment. Considerable attention has been paid
to the removal or filling of unnecessary surface join gaps and resonant cavities. Where the F/A-18A-D used grilles to cover
various accessory exhaust and inlet ducts, the F/A-18E/F uses perforated panels that appear opaque to radar waves at the
frequencies used. Careful attention has been paid to the alignment of many panel boundaries and edges, to scatter traveling
waves away from the aircraft.
It is claimed that the Super Hornet employs the most extensive radar cross section reduction measures of any contemporary
fighter, other than the F-22 and planned F-35. While the F/A-18E/F is not a true stealth fighter like the F-22, it will have
a frontal RCS an order of magnitude smaller than prior generation fighters.
Avionics
While there are some similar cockpit items of the original Hornet, the Super Hornet features a touch-sensitive, up-front
control display; a larger, liquid crystal multipurpose color display; and a new engine fuel display.The Super Hornet has a
quadruplex digital fly-by-wire system, as well as a digital flight-control system that detects and corrects for battle
damage.Super Hornet production started with the APG-73 radar. The APG-79 AESA radar was introduced later (see the upgrade
section below).
The AN/ASQ-228 ATFLIR (Advanced Targeting Forward Looking InfraRed), is the main electro-optical sensor and laser designator
pod for the Super Hornet. Defensive systems are coordinated through the Integrated Defensive Countermeasures system (IDECM).
The IDECM system includes the ALE-47 countermeasures dispenser, the ALE-50 towed decoy, the AN/ALR-67(V)3 radar warning
receiver, and the ALQ-165 Airborne Self-Protect Jammer (ASPJ). Aircrew have the ability to use night vision goggles (NVG) for
Super Hornet operations which means the aircraft interior and exterior lighting are NVG compatible.

Changed all additional files with Mig21_ prefix so all are unique now and

Reworked all hangar and loading screens to match all game models.
F version now have true ranging-only radar. It can be still turned off by
Ctrl+PgDn. In current game engine this radar starts on.
Wings Over Vietnam new Mig-21 hangar and loading screens. Later i will make
it for all game versions.

Added KV1 seat to all MF and Bis variants. Deleted old seat from model.
Added SF2 Mig variants. Changed FMs little bit based on Fubar512 values on
alpha stall to make Migs usable in knife fight. It not bleeds speed in sharp
high AOA turns so much. Added vetral fin from Fubar512 FM.

Fixed reversed nose gear rotation.
SF2 version was removed - it will be separate pack.
This pack inludes all official Thirdwire MIG-21 models as flyable jets with
cokcpits in most complete form what my modding knowledge allows. All in easy
install form. I am not author of any 3d pits, FMs, sounds. All is what i
downloaded from Combatace or made by Thirdwire. I want to thank to original authors
of included files and this nice sim. Hope it is ok to reuse their work to
provide really complete, up-to-date and easy to install Mig-21 package. I was
always sad with that great pits available and terrible way to install it into
latest ptached games and it is always missed something. Loading screens, loadout
picture, good FM and so on... Now with latest patches FMs are usable and nicely
flyable so i used it as base FMs for pack.
Pack contains folowing stuff:

Every official MIG-21 flyable with pit for SFP1, WOV, WOE, WOI and SF2. I corrected
some errors in pits, Used latest Oct 2008 TW patches as base for FM fat files
with tweaks in engine (thrust for each model, spool up time, radar, weight). FM
is not touched and i think it flies now ok with latest patch. Diferent sounds for
each engine model is included with Mig RWR sounds. Better Mig pilots too. Each
Mig-21 has loading and hangar screen and camouflage sample patch with loadout
picture. All includes corresponding serial numbers to choose from. I made
Numbers.lst for Vietnam and Arab airforces by hand. All Migs have right service
nationality in dat as was originaly in each game install.

Instalation:

Simply unpack somewhere and then choose what game you want mod for Migs-21 and
simply copy content of apropriate game folder from pack to game root directory
overwirte all potential files. Dont worry all dat files are based on latest
Oct 2008 TW patches. Sure if you want you can backup first whole game. Just
for cause i forgot something. After that just start game and enjoy all MIG-21
variants flyable in most complete and up-to-date way.

This is the R4 Germany/Portugal (mainly used by the second) version of the G91 with 4 hardpoints and 4 1/2 inch guns; to install copy the G91R4 folder in your ...\Objects\Aircraft\ folder.
In the folder you will find the weapons folder with two new type of fuel tank and the AS20 radio guided missile.

J-8 (Jian-8 Fighter aircraft 8) / F-8
The J-8 was the first PLAAF aircraft of domestic design, with design work beginning in 1964. The overall configuration is a rather straightforward enlargement of the MiG-21/J-7 layout to accomodate two engines. Although it resembled Mikoyan's experimental Ye-152A, contrary to some early reports, it was not based on that aircraft. Production began in December 1979, with about 100-150 units of the first configuration entering service. Design work on the improved J-8-2 began in 1980, with production beginning in the late 1980. As with the cancelled "Super 7" upgrade to the single-engine J-7, the J-8-2 completely reworks the front end of the aircraft, adding a much larger radar and ventral air inlets, along with various other less pronounced improvements. The best that can be said of the J-8 is that once upgraded it will be no more than an advanced obsolete aircraft, comparable in configuration and aerodynamic performance to the Su-15 FLAGON.
