    1. P/F-47D-25 Thunderbolt by Wolf257 - For SF2

Republic P-47D-25 Thunderbolt (BubbleTop) by Wolf257
Please note this aircraft mod is released "As Is"; any flaws or faults NOT caused by my ini edits are most likely unfixable and must be lived with (until a replacement model is created by one of our over-worked 3D Gurus). I just want to get this off my hard drive, and have 'those that know' test and experiment with the FM -- it NEEDS more fine tuning (see "Notes" below).

This is a complete aircraft, and is designed for Post-World War 2 usage, by the USAF and several Allied airforces; in particular those in Latin America.

      Included skins are:

      USAF Post-War Natural Metal, 525th FBS, circa 1946, West Germany;
      1º Grupo de Caça, Brazilian AF, WW2 MTO (OD/Gray);
      1º Grupo de Caça, FAB, Post-War natural metal (called "FAB2"; reuses some historic decals from the above skin, repainted for NM usage, and all new post-war serials for 25 aircraft -there're still more to be done, if someone wants to!);
      Escuadrón de Caza, Colombian AF, 1946- the late 50s. 100% accurate serials;
"Generic" NM, for anyone else, and can be used as a basis for other countries (Italy, France, RAF, etc)

All markings excepting the 2 FAB skins and the FAC post-war with painted-on rudder stripes, are decals.

2 cockpits are included, one is the Mustang-style from the original release, and Stary's 'Generic Late WW2 Cockpit' - which it is set to use right now. You can switch as you wish (Stary's is better, of course). All external lighting is 100% correct for this model.

As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. It is suggested that you unzip the archive to a temp folder or your desktop to access the entire 'readme' before instilling.
Also, give the "Notes" section a read for further information and stuff like that there, illuminating defects, flaws, my goofs, and etc. It should be noted, that as we ONLY have the -25 model, it is incorrect for the units/countries depicted herein. These would/should be later production D models, with the fin filet.

We make do with what we have.

      Good Hunting!

    2. La-11 Fang by Bunyap, For SF2

a-11 Fang by Bunyap, For SF2

      = For SF2, Any and All =

Note: although NOT strictly a WW2 aircraft, but immeadite Post-War. This'll give the Mustangs, Spitfires and such something to else to tangle with in the late 1940s.

Some modifications, tweeks, and various fiddles with Bunyap's Lavochkin La-11 "Fang", bring it into SF2. This is the complete package, with cockpit, skins/decals, and engine sound.

      Skins included are:

      Soviet (silver-gray)
      PLAAF (sliver-gray)
NK_CVAF (North Korean, Chinese "Volenteer" Air Force)
      NKPAF (NK silver-gray)
      NKPAV_Green (dark green camo)

The decals inis have been rewritten to use as many stock decals as possible. The NK Green, however, has new decals made for the KAW mod with semi-historical numbering.

New hangar and loading screens are included, now in jpg format. The hangar screen is an SF2-style rebuild of my original 'box art' version.

It should be noted, that due to the age of model (ie: it's from 2005!!) there are many issues that are unfixable. One of the major ones, is the shadows are turned OFF, as there are huge 'tractor beam lines' extending from the aircraft. You just have to live with them.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. Please read them!

      Happy Hunting!

JG 300 was originally created in July 1943 as a Wilde Sau free-range night-fighter Geschwader, but owing to the high accident rate and the relative lack of success, was
transferred at the very beginning of 1944 to daylight operations.

    10. Bf109g-6/AS, JG1, Spring 1944

      Bf109g-6AS, JG 1, Germany, Early 1945.

In April 1944, JG 1 became the first unit to be equipped with the new Bf109g-5/AS and -6/AS with its uprated DB605AS engine. This entailed the introduction of a new streamlined cowling, compared to the original bulged model used on standard G-5 and G-6 aircraft. As the AS series were intended for high altitude operations, the initial production run were finished in overall RLM 76 pale blue-grey.

Jagdgeschwader 1 was based in Northern Germany on Reich Defence duties (Stab was based at Paderborn) and was commanded at this time by Oberstleutnant Walter 'Gulle' Oesau, whose Green 13 is included in this pack. He was killed on 11th May 1944 over St Vith by P-38s of the USAAF.

You will need the AvHistory Guns pack installed.

      For SF2 only.

    16. A6M2-N "Rufe" Floatplane Fighter

A6M-2N "Rufe" WW2 IJN Floatplane fighter

      For SF/Wo* or SF2 --

Please note, this aircraft is not fully SF2 compliant! The package, with the exception of the included destroyed model, and SF2-ized 'weapon' (ie: the floats) will need to be converted by YOU -the End User- for SF2 compatibility. The data ini has the added lines for the included destroyed model. It shouldn't change anything for SF/Wo*, except it not showing up after you shoot it down.

It also is in DIRE need of a corrected/Updated 08 and/or SF2 level Flight Model. This mod is released "as is" (meaning as it was in 08). Adjustments/tweeks are encouraged!

The readme included, is in it's original 2008 state. Seperate instructions are included for adding the destroyed model, for SF2 usage

*Note: it will NOT take off or land on water (the game has never supported this), but from land bases. For some reason, the "invisible airfield" as used on several WW2 terrains is NOT working in SF2. BE ADVISED!!*

      -----------------
This is a modification to ArmourDave's A6M2 "Zero" fighter, converting it into the float-plane version as built by Nakajima for the Imperial Japanese Navy. Historically, probably the most successful floatplane fighter ever produced.

There are 2 complete versions of the Rufe included in this package:

      1) A6M2-N_Early: this has the light gray skin as used in mid-to-late 1942. This aircraft contains 2 new skins (created from a new template, based off the original skins as seen on some other Zero mods of mine); 11 Kokutai, based aboard the seplane tender 'Kamikawa Maru' in the northern Solomons circa July-August 1942, and 14 Kokutai, also based in the Solomons area. circa 1942 (actually the Shortland Islands, but who's counting?)

      2) A6M2-N: this aircraft has the later (ie: early 1943 on) green overall camo. This aircraft ALSO contains 2 new skins (as above); 802 Kokutai based at Jaluit, Marshall Islands circa August 1943; and 902 Kokutai as seen in November, 1943 based at Truk.

      Happy Landings!

    17. Spitfire MkVb, VCS-7, US Navy, June 1944

      Spitfire MkVb, VCS-7, US Navy, 5th - 26th June 1944.

Because of the high vulnerability of the SOC and OS2U spotter aircraft normally carried on board US Navy cruisers and battleships, it was felt that naval artillery spotters during the landings in Normandy would need aircraft better able to defend themselves against German fighters. As a result, 17 pilots were drawn from the cruisers CA 31 Augusta, CA 37 Tuscaloosa, CA 71 Quincy and the battleships BB 33 Arkansas, BB 35 Texas and BB 36 Nevada; they were affected to the Air Spotting Pool, based at RNAS Lee-on-Solent, along with two RAF Spitfire squadrons, Nos. 26 and 63, and four FAA Seafire squadrons, Nos.808, 885, 886 and 897.

      VCS-7 became operational on 28th May 1944.

During operations, all aircraft were pooled, which meant that in fact, any pilot from any of the seven Spitfire/Seafire units could find himself flying any Spitfire or Seafire available, regardless of any theoretical 'ownership'. As a rule, aircraft operated in pairs, one spotting, the other covering.

After three weeks of highly successful operations, VCS-7 was stood down on 26th June as the fighting moved beyond the range of the ships' guns.

As they were on temporary loan from the RAF, all the aircraft used by VCS-7 retained their RAF markings.

For use ONLY with SF2 including the Israel Expansion Pack. This will NOT work if you do not have the stock TW Spitfires installed and working.

    18. Seafire MkIII (Modified), Irish Air Corps

Seafire MkIII (Modified), No.1 Sqn, Irish Air Corps, 1947 - 1955

      Completely new version.

The Irish Air Corps bought 12 Seafires in 1947; these were denavalised by removing the 'hook' and at least in most cases, locking the wing-fold joints. They were numbered from 146 to 157. There is still considerable debate among the Irish aviation historians as to the precise colour used; they were clearly painted overall with a greenish-grey shade, possibly MAP Light Slate Grey. No detailled information is available.

I have included the serials for the 6 Spitfire T.MkIX aircraft also acquired by the Irish Air Corps, in order to make up a suitable minimum number of decals. These go from 158 to 163.

For use ONLY with SF2 including the Israel Expansion Pack. This will NOT work if you do not have the stock TW Spitfires installed and working.

This plane was build as part of the Munich 1938 campaign for

and layered textures and this is whats left.
There is some hierarchy issue, but you probably never find it :-)

    21. SF2 WW2 Mustangs of the CBI

      SF2 WW2 CBI Mustangs

-- Something for the CBI players --
      = For SF2, Full-4/5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =

*There is a possibility that this mod will =NOT= work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs, due to the excessive modifications made to fit them into the SF2 environment.*

**Notex2: These aircraft should ONLY be used in a seperate CBI-centric mods folder to prevent them from showing up where, historically, they shouldn't. The Aircraft/GroundObject sets for CBI are substantially different from Central or SouthWest Pacific areas. You'll need the Burma and China WW2 terrains from the 1stGen Terrains Downloads. Be advised, that even though I reworked both terrains some years ago, they need yet another going over to correct many faults; but they ARE perfecly playable as is, with the needed SF2 terrain conversion tweeks that is :)**

This pack contains 3 aircraft, by or modded from those build by Wolf257, for use in the China-Burma-India Theatre by the USAAF. They are:

      A-36 Apache
      P-51A Mustang
      P-51B Mustang

All aircraft are from the 311th FBG, and represent the various squadrons. These are the ONLY early model Mustangs to see service in the Pacifc Theatre (well, ok, actually CBI!), and no where else. The D model's didn't start to make their appearences until US Forces landed in the Phillipines. Hence, again, the need for a seperate CBI-centric install.

New (semi)compliant SF2 FMs were cobbled together. As has become expected, the FM is NOT perfect, and needs further fine-tuning by Experts. New hangar screens, theatre specific weapons (except the WW2 bombs -you should have them already), a pilot figure and engine sounds are included. All skins are in jpg format, and decal randomization is set to TRUE. As is usual, all lighting is 100% historically correct. Remember, too, the A-36 and P-51A are the Allison engined versions, and therefore not as 'quick' as the Merlin powered models.

As always, fairly easy to follow, highly detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. All original readmes are included for historical purposes (when discoveralbe from the archives)

    22. SF2 WW2 PTO - F4F Wildcats and SBD Dauntless

      SF2 WW2 F4F-3/4 Wildcat, SBD-3/5 Dauntless

-- Something for the PTO players --
      = For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =

*There is a possibility that this mod will =NOT= work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs, due to the
excessive modifications made to fit them into the SF2 environment.*

This is a compilation of all my work for Wolf's SBD Dauntless and Pasko's F4F Wildcat. It is
designed to replace ALL the previously released versions. So, be advised.
There are 5 aircraft in this pak:

      F4F-3 (pre- and early war)
      F4F-4 (early war to mid-43
FM-2 (mid to late war -this is a stand in aircraft, based on the -4)
SBD-3 (pre and early war, to mid-43 -includes RNZAF skin)
      SBD-5 (mid war, tri-color)
      and ???? a surprise!

All have semi-compliant SF2 Flight Models, but they REALLLLLLY do need further fine tuning by
experts. All lighting on all aircraft is 100% historically correct. All are carrier capable, with
the SF2NA statments for those (ok, 2) aircraft with folding wings
Use Shift/0 to open the window, and Shift/9 to fold the wings -Wilcat ONLY!

All skins are in jpg format, and decal randomization is set to TRUE. I've tried, as best as
possible, to use the 'StartDefaultDate' on all skins to limit the availability for pre-War markings
from those that came into being post-January, 1942. The -4 'cats have skins that start 1/42, and
the Dauntless has the same pre and post 1/42 starts. Hopefully, they will work as they should.
Userlists are included for all aircraft, as being 'exported' means USN, USMC, and in the SBD-3's
case, RNZAF.SF2 versions of the old 'box art' Hangars are included for those that had them.
Sounds, weapons are included. Also, for you enjoyment, a never-before-released-to-the-public
"Surprise" aircraft. Yes, its a total stand-in, and dosen't really even look like what it
represents, but ... you can have to fun with it (flying for the Red Side, that is, attacking it.)

As always, fairly easy to follow, highly detailed install instructions are included. So, please
read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too.
All readmes from the original releases, and re-releases, are included where discoverable from the
      archives.

    23. SF2 WW2 PTO D3A1 Val Pak

      SF2 WW2 D3A1 "Val" Dive Bomber

-- Something for the PTO players --

      = For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =

*There is a distinct possibility that this mod will =NOT= work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs, due to the excessive modifications made to fit them into the SF2 environment.*

This is a compilation of all my work for Pasko's D3A1 Val. It is designed to replace ALL the previously released versions. So, be advised.
There is one aircraft in the pack with a multitude of skins:

IJN Carriers at Pearl Harbor (all 6)
IJN Carriers at Midway (all 4)
IJN mid-late war (carrier AND Land Based, 1 each)

12 skin/decal sets in all. Numbering is as historically accurate as days and weeks of research can determine (including work for the original release some years ago)

A semi-compliant SF2 Flight Model has been cobbled together, but it REALLLLLLY do needs further fine tuning by experts. I'm NOT happy at all with it; somebody PLEASE make the necessary adjustments. (do we have a begging smilie??)

All skins are jpg format. Decal randomization is set to TRUE, but this may NOT be historically correct; Squadron and Flight leaders used 3, 2 and 1 color bands on the tail to identify themselves. With randomizaion set TRUE, the No.1 Bird will be 'whatever' is chosen by the GameEngine ™. Research has shown the Squadron Commander (and suboritinate Flight leaders) tended to 'lead from the front', so if the randomization is bothersome, simply edit the required inis, and remove it.

SF2 versions of the old 'box art' Hangar and Loading screens are included.
Sounds, weapons, etc and so forth are included. As a bonus, I finally figured out the canopy animation, so use Shift/0 to open and close the cockpit window. Wingfold however, is NOT working as that was never built into the LOD. SF2NA Carrier Based Statements have been adjusted to suit.

As always, fairly easy to follow, highly detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. Information on the 'bombbay' is interestering to note!
All readmes from the original releases, and re-releases are included where discoverable from the archives.

    25. SF2 WW2 PTO F6F Hellcat Pak

      SF2 WW2 F6F-3, F6F-5, F6F-5N Hellcats by Geo (and wrench)

-- Something for the PTO players --
      = For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =

*There is a distinct possibility that this mod will =NOT= work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs, due to the excessive modifications made to fit them into the SF2 environment. Also, the destroyed model references the SF2V Skyraider; hence the Full-5 Merged Prefered. Quite useful due to SF2NA carrier-coding, which is used herein*

This is a compilation of all my work for Geo's F6F-3 Hellcat, and includes the 2 'new aircraft' built from the original -3, as previously seen for 1stGens some years back. This pak is desinged to COMPLETLY replace any/all the 1stGen Mods I've released in the past.

F6F-3 - mid war TriColor (Geo's original skin) with 2 skins
F6F-5 - late war overall Dark Gloss Blue with 3 skins
F6f-5N* - (Radar Equipped Nightfighter) with 2 skins (USN & USMC)

*the cockpit has been swapped out for TMF's F4U-5N's pit -- even though slightly 'off' in insturment placment, everything works on it much better than the original. Radar ranges ARE correct.

All have semi-compliant SF2 Flight Models, but may need further fine tuning by experts. I feel it actually flys TOO well/easy; having spoken to real Hellcat pilots (one of my High School shop teachers flew them at the war's end -didn't get into combat, though).

Skins are still in their original TGA format (oddly, withOUT an Alpha, and apparently NOT convertable to jpg without LOD work - I'm NOT doing any Hex Editing to find out) and decal randomization is set to TRUE.
SF2NA 'carrier based' statment have been added to the data ini; unfortunately, the wings do NOT fold. However, the canopy opens via the Usual Suspect ™ animiation keystroke, Shift/0

Many NEW decals have been created, as the Navy expanded it's number of fighters on the boat in 44-45 to around 70 per ship, displacing Dive and Torpedo bombers. (ie: 35-36 per squadron)
Userlists are included for those aircraft, being 'exported' which means USN & USMC for the -5N; no references have been found citing USMC usage for any other version (I guess they liked their Corsairs better!)

SF2 versions of the old 'box art' Hangars are included for those that had them.
Sounds, weapons are included; included a 'new build' F6F-3 tank in NonSpec gray for early useage.

As always, fairly easy to follow, highly detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too.
All readmes from the original releases, and re-releases, are included where discoverable from the archives.

      Happy Hunting!

with thanks to Geo for creating this bird!
