D-Day Spitfires
By amariani
Hello!
Here's a set of skins for Thirdwire's Spitfires LF Mk. IX's for D-Day campaigns. National markings and D-Day ID bands are painted-on.
You'll need Strike Fighters 2 Expansion Pack 1 for the Spitfires.
Just drop in the aircraft folders and fly!
Thanks to Thirdwire for the 3D models.

SF2 WW2 ETO Spitfire 9e, 332 Squadron Skin Pak
By Wrench
SF2 WW2 ETO Spitfire 9e, 332 Squadron Skin Pak 7/30/2013
-- Something for the WW2 ETO players --
= For SF2 ONLY, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =
**SF2:I/E (whichever!) Expansion Pak 2 REQUIRED to have the Spitfire 9e**
A reskinning of the stock 3W Spitfire 9e to No. 332 "Netherlands" Squadron during WW2 in Western Europe.
Skins remain in their 'lorez' 512 size, and are still in bmp format. Decal randomization is set to TRUE. All marking on the aircraft, excepting the Sky fuselage band are decals. This will make it exceptionally easy for skinners to create other RAF squadrons of this time period.
Included are modified data and loadout inis, at the current (7/2013) patch level. See 'changes' in the Notes section for full listing. And, for you viewing pleasure, a brand NEW SF2-style Hangar screen. The assumption (oh! that word!!) is being made that you've already made the aircraft player flyable, so no cockpit bits are included. Neither is my "One Click Restore Main Ini" (patent pending).
The canopy has been activated via the Standard Animation Keystroke , Shift/0
No weapons or pilot figures are included; you should have them already.
However, the AvHistory Merlin engine sound, is.
As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too.
Happy Landings!!

Spitfire F.MkIXc, South African Air Force
By ndicki
Spitfire MkIXc, No.4 Sqn, SAAF
These will add a SAAF-specific MkIXc version of the Spitfire included in the SF2 Israel Expansion Pack. Includes serial numbers for early production F.MkIXc ("MkIXA") aircraft, squadron and individual codes and correct SAAF markings for the period.
A large number of early MkIX aircraft were conversions from MkV airframes; if you look up the serials of these aircraft, they will fall in blocks attributed to MkVs. All the aircraft represented in this pack were either converted to MkIX standard, or in the earliest MkIX production blocks.
This will run only in SF2I or a merged install including SF2I and the SF2I Expansion Pack.

Seafire MkIII, Irish Air Corps
By ndicki
Seafire MkIII (Modified), No.1 Sqn, Irish Air Corps, 1947 - 1955
The Irish Air Corps bought 12 Seafires in 1947; these were denavalised by removing the 'hook' and at least in most cases, locking the wing-fold joints. They were numbered from 146 to 157. There is still considerable debate among the Irish aviation historians as to the precise colour used; they were clearly painted overall with a greenish-grey shade, possibly MAP Light Slate Grey. No detailled information is available. I have simply used one of the stock TW skins, slightly modified, although it is not single colour as it should be.
For use ONLY with SF2 including the Israel Expansion Pack. This will NOT work if you do not have the stock TW Spitfires installed and working.

Spitfire MkIXe, No.105 Sqn, Israel Air Force/Defense Force, 1948-1950s
Aircraft were delivered in the standard RAF Day Fighter Scheme of Ocean Grey, Dark Green and Medium Sea Grey. The Ocean Grey uppersurfaces were quickly repainted using household paint to a more effective brownish sand colour.
For use ONLY with SF2 including the Israel Expansion Pack. This will NOT work if you do not have the stock TW Spitfires installed and working.

SF2 Vichy French Air Force, Tiger Moth Skin UPgrade
By Wrench
SF2 Vichy French Air Force, Tiger Moth Skin UPgrade 2/25/2020
-- Something for Fun --
= For SF2 Any and All=
A small upgrade for LloydNB's Vichy French Tigermoth, as used in Indochina in the early 1940s. It is, obviously, for use on RussoUK's DH Tigermoth. The aircraft itself is available at the following URL:
https://combatace.com/files/file/14081-sf2-ww2-dh-tigermoth-by-russouk/
This is a very simple mod; just a quickie repaint to remove the original painted on fuselage number, and the addition of 18 "plane-in-squad" numbers. No historical accuracy is claimed, as I've only found one image of the aircraft, and it had the number 5 on it.
As said above, something just for fun!
Enjoy!
