This is an upgrade/ Enhancement for the Third Wire DLC A-4K Skyhawk.

You will need the DLC A-4K: https://store.thirdw...m/store_dlc.htm

Instillation: As usual simply drop into your mods folder and allow it to override when prompted. (This is important as the export end year date in the AIM-9G is incorrect etc)

      Changes include:

      -a more realistic loadout.ini file,

-correcting of the air intake textures on all the textures,

-corrections to the squadron markings on the ‘Green’ and ‘Maritime Grey’ textures,

-accurate Royal New Zealand Airforce Pilot,

      -activation of the tail hook,

      -opening canopy,

      -landing light,

      -various other data.ini edits.

-a few shots of chaff in each airbrake to simulate the practise of filling the airbrakes with chaff to give the aircraft a limited ability to deploy a onetime burst of chaff by activating the airbrake.

Use the single mission editor to select and make use of some unique RNZAF A-4 loadouts

      Credits:

-ravenclaw_007 for his amazing weapons packs

-NeverEnough for the FMA IA-58a Pucara for SF2 which I used the triple and double rocket pods from to create the CRV-7 double and triple launchers from.

      Enjoy,

    2. SF2 NAA FJ-3M Fury (Ver.2)

      SF2 NAA FJ-3M Fury (Ver.2)

      = For SF2, (Full 5 Merged RECCOMENDED!!) =

*Note: this aircraft will NOT work in SF/Wo* 1stGen Games are ANY patch level. This
aircraft was (re)designed and (re)built and (re)tested in SF2NA and Full5 Merged installs*

A brand new, replacement aircraft for the previous 1stGen conversions. Through the hard
work of several, people, being named here FIRST, instead of further down in the Credits
(well, they're listed there, too, of course!)
Zur (the Great and Powerful) for giving me the uncompleted MAX files, and RussoUK for
finishing and polishing the LOD for SF2 useage. You guys ROCK!!

This is the full, compiled package of Zur/Column5's FJ-3M Fury. Like the original SF2 pak,
it contains all the skin/decal sets I could find, combined into one big lump. This package
is designed to REPLACE, in total, any and ALL other previouse FJ-3M Furys.

Skins included in the pak are:

      VF-53 from ??
VF-62 from USS Essex, ATG-201 during the Beirut Crisis
VF-73 from USS Randolph, circa 1956/57
VF-84 from USS Forrestall, crica 1956/57
      VF-142 from USS Hornet, 1956
VF-211 from USS BonHomme Richard, circa 1956
VMF-312 (actually an FJ-3 in Natural Metal, circa 1955ish)
      VMF-333 from ???

Skins are a mixture of both bmp and JPG, and Decal randomization is also set to TRUE.
Damage textures are in DDS format (same as the Sabre). The aircraft is now bump mapped,
      for that nice metalic look.

A new FM, is based off Fubar's work on the KAW Sabres. It may need futher fine tuning to
completly Navalize it. The canopy, now functional, opens with the Standard Animation
Keystroke, Shift/0. AT this time, wingfold in NOT functional. The data ini statements
refelct this for carrier on-deck parking.
Other changes are the addition of the Userlist, a new avionics ini that adds the radar-
ranging gunsight. And a revamped SF2 version of my 'artwork' hangar screen.
The aircraft is fully carrier-capable, as per the July 2012 patch level. No weapons are
included; all stock items are called out. The new drop tanks are built into the aircraft's
LOD, ala SF2 3W birds. The weapons data IS included, of course.
Sounds are all reused from the KAW Sabres, as is the NEW cockpit (also from the KAW F-86F)

As always, READ the enclosed readme for full, detailed, easy-to-follow install
instructions. Of course, the usual 'Notes' section for the ravings of a madman!! <g>

      Happy Landings!!

As stated above, a reissue of the Skymaster FAC bird. Included in this pak are all the mods
from the "O-2 Tweeks Pak' I issued in 2009 (and it's attendant readme). This is the complete
      aircraft.

Skins remain in their bmp format; Decal radomization is set to TRUE. A user list is
supplied. New damage textures are in DDS format. All weapons referenced are STOCK 3rd Wire
items, available in full 4/5 merged installs.

As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read
them!!! Included is my original readme for the "Tweeks Pak"; it's suggested you read this
as well, as it contains a listing of all the changes, tweeks, mods and so forth.
The Legal Statement has also been changed with regards to this aircraft.
For those that still have the original releases, as there HAVE been changes and additions in
several of the inis you may wish to examine, you may wish to replace the originals with
      these.

**This aircraft herein is released in "AS IS" Condition. Any and all issues/problems that
cannot be solved via ini edits will exist forever, as new models are unlikely to be
      created**.

    5. Third Wire A-4E/H/F Ahit upgrade/ Enhancement for SF2

This is an upgrade and major enhancement for the stock Third Wire A-4E, H, & F Ahits (Skyhawks). The standard TW Ahits have a few issues with their historical accuracy. This mod corrects those issues and even adds a few more aircraft to the Ahit family.

Instillation: As usual simply drop into your mods folder and allow it to override when prompted. (This is important as there are changes to some of the aircraft.ini files etc)

Strike Fighters 2 Israel plus either Strike Fighters 2 or Strike Fighters 2 Vietnam are required.

      Changes include:

      - The A-4H Ahit was not delivered with a downgraded engine. It had the same J52-P8A engine as the F model Skyhawk. Israel latter upgraded the engines of the H and F Ahits to the P-408A as used in the A-4M and N Skyhawks.

      - The 30mm cannons fitted to the A-4H Ahit were fitted at a 2.5 degree downward angle due to the emphasis the IAF placed on strafing after the Six Day war. However in reality it was less than ideal as there was no change to the A-4 gun sight so aiming proved quite difficult until the introduction of the HUD in the Crystal upgrade.

      - A-4E Ahit was delivered with the avionics hump of the F model Skyhawk. The hump was installed in US Navy service in anticipation of receiving ECM equipment but these aircraft were delivered to Israel instead. Because it was empty the hump was initially removed in Israeli service.

      - The A-4E Ahit was also refitted with 30mm cannons. However due to the problems encountered with the angle of instillation in the H model Ahit they were installed at a 1.5 degree downward angle in the E models.

      - US Emergency Aid Skyhawks: During the Yom Kippur war A-4E as well as A-4F Skyhawks were sent to Israel as replacements for IAF A-4 losses during the war. These A-4E Skyhawks had the same standard of avionics as the F models.

      - Additional early textures added to the A-4H Ahits with the Star Of David on the rear fuselage and two digit aircraft numbers.

      - Additional texture added with the US 'Stars and Bars' and US Navy numbers which the A-4H wore during test flights in the USA.

      - Textures modified so there are no squadron colors on the rudder before 1976.

      - Textures modified so aircraft numbers are not on both the nose and vertical stabilizer at the same time before 1976. Before then the aircraft number was on either the nose or the vertical stabilizer- not both. Where it was largely depended on which squadron operated the aircraft.

      - The hump and corresponding avionics upgrade that appear on the A-4H Ahit (73) and A-4E Ahit (73) were known as the Crystal upgrade. This upgrade was designed to bring the Ahit fleet up to the standard of the A-4N Skyhawk/Ahit so this upgrade also included a basic heads up display with computerized weapons aiming. This upgrade would also be applied to the US Emergency Aid A-4E and F Ahits after end of the Yom Kippur war.

      - The triangular antenna behind the normal UHF/VHF antenna on the hump of the A-4H/E Ahits (73) as well as one of the nose antennas did not appear on the aircraft till the mid 80's

      - Loadouts: the stock Ahit loadouts are not unrealistic but they certainly aren't the most realistic. As such they have all been redone to include things such as the use of the Walleye in the anti-amour role by particular aircraft etc.

      - Opening canopy.

      - Landing light.

      - Cockpit armor changed to the same as the A-4F which the A-4H is meant to based on.

      - Yom Kippur and Lebanon War campaigns edited to include additional aircraft and weapons where appropriate.

The Ahits will now appear in the game as follows:

A-4E Ahit - Delivery of ex US Navy Skyhawks in 1971 fitted with an empty hump, no ECM and no chaff dispenser.

A-4E Ahit (72) - The empty hump is removed in Israeli service, the aircraft are also re-fitted with 30mm cannons at a 1.5 degree downward angle.

A-4E Ahit (73) US Emergency Aid - US Navy A-4E Skyhawks with avionics hump and standard USN avionics rushed to Israel during the Yom Kippur War to replace Ahit losses.

A-4E Ahit (73) Crystal Upgrade - A-4E Ahits upgraded under project Crystal with ECM, RHAW, countermeasure dispensers, updated weapons delivery system, updated navigation system and a HUD. An extended tailpipe is also fitted.

A-4F Ahit US Emergency Aid - US Navy A-4F Skyhawks with standard USN avionics rushed to Israel during the Yom Kippur War to replace Ahit losses.

A-4F Ahit (74) Crystal Upgrade - US Emergency Aid A-4F Ahits are upgraded to the same standard as the project Crystal A-4H Ahits with a HUD, updated weapons delivery system, updated navigation system, 30mm cannons, extended tailpipe and P-408A engine.

A-4H Ahit - Specific model Skyhawk for Israel based on the A-4F with deliveries starting in 1968. The A-4H had a downgraded weapons and avionics capability.

      A-4H Ahit (70) - Aircraft are re-fitted with 30mm cannons at a 2.5 degree downward angle.

A-4H Ahit (72) - Israel begins replacing the J52-P8A engine with the more powerful J52-P-408A and restoring/ expanding the aircrafts weapon capabilities.

A-4H Ahit (73) Crystal Upgrade - A-4H Ahits are upgrade under project Crystal with ECM, RHAW, countermeasure dispensers, updated weapons delivery system, updated navigation system and a HUD. An extended tailpipe is also fitted.

A-4H Ahit (84) Crystal Upgrade - Additional external antenna on the avionics hump and nose of the aircraft are installed.

    6. SF2 AD-4W/AEW.1 "Guppy"

      SF2 AD-4W/AEW.1 "Guppy" 4/1/2014

      = For SF2, Full 5 Merged RECCOMENDED! =

**Note: Actually, SF2NA is actually -REQUIRED- in merged installs, due to NA coding used for
this aircraft's operational statements. It is also HIGHLY SUGGESTED!! that this be
=ONLY= used in the NA envrionment (read: in SF2:NA only). It was tested only in the
NA environment, but there are a few issues (see Notes below).***

A rebuild of MontyCZ's A-1H Skyraider give us the AD-4W "Guppy" Naval Airborne Early
      Warning aircraft of the 1950s.

Included are 4 skins, representing the aircrft from 1950 through 1960. They are:

      USN:
      VC-11

      USMC:
      VMC-1

      British Royal Navy (AEW.1)
No 849 Naval Air Squadron; in 'normal' garb
No 849 NAS, HMS Albion, during the Suez Crisis (with Suez 'Invasion Stripes')

The USN/USMC skins use a painted on fueselage national marking (not enough meshes
for all decals); All other markings are decals. All aircraft are in 'standard' Dark
Gloss Navy Blue. For the RN skins, ALL markings are decals. Serial numbers are 100%
historically accurate for the model depicted, and Decal Randomization is TRUE. As
there is no possible way to run down the US serials, they should be considered
      'generic' in nature.
However, you may experience some 'unusual' shuffling' of the CV and Flight letter
codes on the Royal Navy (non Suez) skin. Further explinations for this are in the
'Notes' Section. The Suez skin depicts 849's "C" flight as embarked during Operation
      Musketeer, and are 100% correct.

Skins remain in lo-rez bmp format, but new DDS damage textures are supplied (just in
case). Each skins has it's own hangar screen.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included.
So, please read them. As mentioned above, give the "Notes" section a read too.

      Happy Landings!

    8. F-5F and F-5FM Brazilian Air Force

The Northrop F-5A/B Freedom Fighter and the F-5E/F Tiger II are part of a family of supersonic Light fighter, initially designed in the late 1950s by Northrop Corporation. Being smaller and simpler than contemporaries such as the McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II, the F-5 cost less to both procure and operate, making it a popular export aircraft. The F-5 started life as a privately funded light fighter program by Northrop in the 1950s. The design team wrapped a small, highly aerodynamic fighter around two compact and high-thrust General Electric J85 engines, focusing on performance and low cost of maintenance. Though primarily designed for the day air superiority role, the aircraft is also a capable ground-attack platform. The F-5A entered service in the early 1960s. During the Cold War, over 800 were produced through 1972 for U.S. allies. Though the USAF had no acknowledged need for a light fighter, it did procure roughly 1,200 Northrop T-38 Talon trainer aircraft, which were directly based on the F-5A.

After winning the International Fighter Aircraft competition in 1970, a program aimed at providing effective low-cost fighters to American allies, Northrop introduced the second-generation F-5E Tiger II in 1972. This upgrade included more powerful engines, higher fuel capacity, greater wing area and improved leading edge extensions for a better turn rate, optional air-to-air refueling, and improved avionics including air-to-air radar. Primarily used by American allies, it was also used in US training exercises. A total of 1,400 Tiger IIs were built before production ended in 1987. More than 3,800 F-5 and T-38 aircraft were produced in Hawthorne, California.

The F-5 was also developed into a dedicated reconnaissance version, the RF-5 Tigereye. The F-5 also served as a starting point for a series of design studies which resulted in the Northrop YF-17 and the F/A-18 navalized fighter aircraft. The Northrop F-20 Tigershark was an advanced variant to succeed the F-5E which was ultimately canceled when export customers did not emerge. The F-5N/F variants are in service with the United States Navy and United States Marine Corps as an adversary trainer. Approximately 500 aircraft are still in service as of 2014.

In October 1974, the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) ordered 36 F-5E and 6 F-5B aircraft from Northrop for $72 million. The first three aircraft arrived on 12 March 1975. In 1988, FAB acquired 22 F-5E and four F-5EF second-hand USAF "agressor" fighters. A total of 15 of these aircraft were part of the initial batch of 30 aircraft produced by Northrop. In 1990, FAB retired all remaining five F-5Bs; later, they were sent to Brazilian museums around the country.

In 2001, Elbit Systems and Embraer started work on a $230 million Brazilian F-5 modernization program, performed over an eight-year period, upgrading 46 F-5E/F aircraft, re-designated as F-5EM and F-5FM. The modernization centered on several areas: new electronic warfare systems, the Grifo F radar, an air-to-air refueling system, INS/GPS-based navigation, support for new weapons, targeting and self-defense systems, HOTAS, LCD displays, helmet-mounted displays (HMDs), Radar Warning Receiver, encrypted communications, cockpit compatibility for night vision goggles, On-Board Oxygen Generation System (OBOGS) and various new onboard computer upgrades. One important capability is the secure communication with R-99 airborne early warning platforms and ground stations.

Externally, the new aircraft features a larger nose cone that accommodates the larger radar equipment. The first F-5EM was handed over on 21 September 2005. On 7 July 2003, four Rafael Litening III targeting pods were ordered at a cost of USD 13 million, to be used on F-5M together with three Rafael Sky Shield jamming pods ordered in 5 July 2006 at a cost of USD 42 million.

In 2009, FAB bought eight single-seat and three twin-seat F-5F used aircraft from Jordan in a US$21 million deal. These aircraft were built between 1975 and 1980. On 14 April 2011, a contract of $153 million was signed with Embraer and Elbit to modernize the additional F-5s bought from Jordan, and to supply one more flight simulator as a continuation of the contract signed in 2000. These F-5s will receive the same configuration as those from the initial 46 F-5s currently completing the upgrade process. The first delivery of this second batch of upgraded jet fighters is scheduled for 2013 with expected use to 2030.

      DISCLAIMER
      ----------
This is a third party add on of the RC-135 using Mirage Factory model. All credit to creator of original pack.
Mission equipment via fake pilot is made by me.
Skins are original from great Mirage Factory C-135A/B and KC-135A/E/R 1.0 pack. uploaded by Dave. -> http://combatace.com/files/file/12454-mirage-factory-c-135ab-and-kc-135aer/

Hangar and loading screens by Me.

      UPDATE NOTES
      *****************************

      IMPORTANT.

Update by 76.IAP-Blackbird. All credits to him. He did great job on this.
He fixed airbrakes and put engine reverse thrust into specified models with TF33 / JT3D engines.

If you already have this pack. You can download just update data.ini of each aircraft. file Updated_Aircraft_Data_only.rar

Please copy data.ini file of aircraft model into specific folder in game mod folder.
Do not use Data.ini of on emodel on other. Even if file name is same.
      Example.

RC-135U_70 got different data.ini file than model _80 or _90.
So you need to copy each aircraft data.ini file from each folder of this update into yours game folders.
Just keep this in mind to avoid mess with fake pilot RC mods.

Or you can download whole updated pack and overwrite yuor game files.

If you are downloading it for the first time. No need to download update. It has already updated ini files.

You need FakePilot mod to run this pack.

This is Beta version which means:

      - I never finished avionics work. I was trying to do something but lack of time...and it will take me months. So ther is no specific avionics for every model. Just one generic. And it is not working. It really needs some avionics work.

      - Skins could be better. I just simple deleted some lines here and there but I've never put so much attention to weathering etc.

      - Cokpit is from B-52. Just for test flights. It is included. I don't remember who made this. All credit to him.

      - All birds are set as Bobmer so they can fly high.

      - For sure it needs some ini work.

      - It need still some work. But only if i will find time. Better to upload it now than never. So for now it is realased as in condition.

      Pack includes

      RC-135C Big Team.
      RC-135D Rivet Brass.
RC-135E Lisa Ann / Rivet Amber.
      RC-135M Rivet Card.
RC-135S Rivet Ball. first S version under name Wanda Belle and later Rivet Ball.
RC-135S Cobra Ball early as in 1969
RC-135S Cobra Ball as in early eighties.
RC-135S Cobra Ball current version as rebuild in mid nineties.
RC-135U Combat Sent early version with 'Towel Rails' and first paint scheme
RC-135U Combat Sent still early version but with new paint scheme.
RC-135U COmbat Sent late version as modified in late eighties.
RC-135V Rivet Joint eary version of V model with LTV mission equipment
RC-135V Rivet Joint late rebuild with E-Systems humps.
      RC-135W Rivet Joint
RC-135W Rivet Joint as above but with new engines.

All serial numbers are historicaly correct. Same as names.
All aircraft were names as code + number "Combat Sent II or Cobra Ball I etc.) I have no information about everything. Info about any of it would be great. Especialy about Rivet Card.

Since whole mod is made via fake pilot there are some limitations.
Biggest "no" for me is first S- Cobra Ball where 663 and 664 carried little different set of sensors.

Some aircrafts were upgraded later than other in same model group. So service date is generic as first aircraft of block build was issued.
Example: first Cobra Ball was flying already 1969 (663 number) but second (664 number) was delivered in 73 if I remember correctly. Same with other aircrafts, they were never delivered same year.

There were few fancy nosearts spotted on RCs but...not this time. Maybe later with some updates

      Instalation:

Copy subfolders to specific folders in your mod directory.
      Aircraft,Pilots, Decals.
      Thats it.

      Enjoy.
      Report bugs.
      Keep an eye on enemy.

    10. SF2 Scooters! Vol.2 - Aggressors for TW A-4 and Fractures TA-4 Skyhawks

Scooters! Vol.2 - Aggressors for TW A-4 and Fractures TA-4 Skyhawks
      ========================================================

*** DLC A-4G Skyhawk required. Tested in full 5-merged installation ***
      *** SF2 or SF2V for the A-4E cockpit and A-4F model ***

This pack contains 14 Aggressor-Skins for the Scooter as used during it's career as plane for DACT - Dissimilar Air Combat Training. These planes were used to simulate enemy aircraft vs. regular Squadrons.
Although a certain camouflage was applied often to 1 plane only, I decided to do 8 planes per skin for playability reasons. To difference the real planes and the "filler" I added the BuNos for the real planes in the loadout menu. The ones without BuNo are fictional.

This pack contains skins depicting the following planes/squadrons:

      A-4E/F Mongoose without Hump
      - A-4E/F of VF-43 Challengers, 1992 in a light gray/gray wraparound camo.
      - A-4E/F of VF-126 Bandits, 1992 in white/gray/blue with light blue bottom
      - A-4E/F of VF-126 Bandits, 1991 in tan with brown stripes and gray bottom.
      - A-4E/F of VF-126 Bandits, 1991 in tan/brown/green with gray bottom.
      - A-4E/F of VFC-12 Fighting Omars, 1993 in an overall glossy engine gray camo.

      A-4E/F Skyhawk with Hump
      - A-4E of VF-45 Blackbirds, 1987 in brown with green tiger stripes ("Brown Tiger")
      - A-4E of VF-101 Grim Reapers, 1972 in 2 shades of bluegray with light blue bottom.

      TA-4J Skyhawk
      - TA-4F/J of VFC-12 Fighting Omars, 1989 in an overall glossy engine gray camo.
      - TA-4F/J of VA-127 Cylons, 1986 in a tan/green wraparound camo.
      - TA-4F/J of VA-127 Cylons, 1983 in a light gray/dark gray/blue wraparound camo.
      - TA-4F/J of VC-8 Redtails, 2000 in tan/brown.
      - TA-4F/J of VC-8 Redtails, 2000 in blue/light blue ("Baby Blue").
      - TA-4F/J of VF-45 Blackbirds, 1993 in bluegray/gray wraparound camo.
      - TA-4F of H&MS-31 Aggressors, 1989 in 3 different gray wraparound camo.

Included is a variation of the ACMI-Pod. For that I combined ravenclaws ACMI-Pod model with the data.ini of 331Killerbees CAP-9 to make it a missiletype-store than uses a build-in rail.

New Hangar- and Loadingscreens are also included with a resolution of 1920x1080 as default and 1024x768 as optional.

I changed the cockpit by removing the radar screen. Additional changes are the switched positions of the Accelerometer and AoA-Indicator and Levers for Arresting Hook and Landing Gear are operational now.

As in dtmdragons original mod, I retained the cannons for playability, although they are not visible in game.

I hope you have fun with it!

      Installation
      ============
      1. unzip to a temporary folder
      2. open "Put_Content_In_Your_Mod folder" and do as you were told, if asked to overwrite, say 'yes' :P
      3. enjoy!

If the Squadrons are missing in the loadout screen, you should add content of the "squadronlist_ini_addon.txt"-file to the squadronlist.ini ("<mod>\pilotdata"-folder) with XXX changed to the next free numbers.
If the Aggressors-"Nation" is missing, you have to add the content of "nations_ini_addon.txt"-file to the nations.ini ("<mod>\flight"-folder) with XXX changed to the next free number.

    11. SF2 P-3C Orion by Florian

      SF2 P-3C Orion by Florian 8/29/2015

      = For SF2, (Full 5 Merged RECCOMENDED!) =

A stand alone release (as requested) of Florian's Beta P-3C Orion naval search aircraft. It is taken 'as is' from eburger's RSR mod. The only thing I've done is activate the cockpit, and change a few sounds.

Skins included are 2 US Navy and 1 Netherlands Navy, as is the cockpit and all required decals and sounds. A full userlist ini, is included for skinners

**This aircraft is a "Beta Release". It is released in "AS IS" Condition. Any and all issues/problems that cannot be solved via ini edits will exist until as it's no longer a Beta.***

      Happy Landings & Good Hunting!

    12. SF2 F-8H Crusader, Philippines Air Force Pak

SF2 F-8H Crusader, Philippines Air Force Pak 10/2/2015

      = For SF2 ONLY, Full-4/5 Merged (Full 5 Reccomended/Preferred) =

**Note: This mod references all stock items, from the aircraft & cockpit lods themselves, to sounds, pilots and weapons. You =MUST= have the stock 3rd Wire F-8H Crusader as part of your merged install, from whichever game it originates from, to make full use of this mod**

Some mods of the stock 3W F-8H Crusader recreates the 25 used by the Philippines Air Force from 1978 thru 1988. This is a stand alone, fully "nationalized" version for PAF usage only.
Serial numbers are 100% historicaly accurate. All markings are decals, and decal randomization is TRUE. Markings represent the 7th TFS of the 5th TFW, PAF.
The Standard Animation Keystrokes ™ work the canopy (Shift/0) and Wingfold (Shift/9). The aircraft is no longer carrier certified, but the hook remains.

      When in game, you'll see

      F-8H Crusader (PhAF)

on the Aircraft Selection Drop down menu.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!! The "Notes" section may also make for interestering reading, and such.

      Happy Landings!!

    13. SF2 F-104C 1965 Vietnam Pack

      SF2 F-104C Vietnam Pack
      By Viper63a

      ------------------------------------------------------------------
BOTH SF2E AND DLC28 ARE REQUIRED FOR THIS MOD!
      ------------------------------------------------------------------

This pack WILL NOT replace stock F-104s, but it may conflict with any other F-104 mod you may have installed - SO BACK UP unless you crave drama! SF2 Europe needs to be merged with your Vietnam install and DLc28 is REQUIRED, REALLY. If you don't have these, this mod will not work for you.

      ------------------------------------------------------------------

This pack contains a small sub-set of the "SF2 C/N/R/F-104A/B/C/D/F/G/J/S Starfighter Super Pack" (see link below). Separated it for users who did not want to install the full F-104 Super Pack just to get the Vietnam era F-104s. You don't need the full pack to use this Vietnam Pack.

      http://combatace.com/files/file/15938-sf2-cnrf-104abcdfgjs-starfighter-super-pack/

I take NO CREDIT for the work contained in this pack. I made some of them better (All new skins, decals...etc), but I was not the creator. I don't do what I do NOT to take credit, but to give it and appreciate the other contributors who make Combatace a great site for SF2. So here is my humble contribution to the collective. Thank you all for your mod packs!

      ------------------------------------------------------------------

This pack includes F-104D (circa 1965) Vietnam era skins, new pilots, hanger, loading, loadout, decals and everything else you need to start flying the F-104s for Vietnam...

      * To install, simply unzip and copy the contents of the "To_Mod_Folder" folder to your StrikeFighter2 mod folder and Overwrite (if needed).

My StrikeFighter2 mod on Win97 64-bit was..(yours may be different)...

    16. CP-140 Aurora

To be used on Florian CP-140 ONLY.

These skins represent the Hi-Viz and Low-Viz schemes used by the RCAF on their CP-140's Aurora.

    17. Malaysian Skyhawks - A-4PTM/TA-4PTM

      Malaysian Scooters - A-4PTM/TA-4PTM for SF2 - v1.0
      ==================================================
*** any SF2 that has the A-4F for the cockpit and DLC019 required for the A-4L model ***
The Tentera Udara Diraja Malaysia (TUDM, or Royal Malaysian Air Force) ordered 88 surplus Skyhawks (25 A-4Cs and 63 A-4Ls) in 1980. The TUDM wanted these planes refurbished into 54 single-seaters and 14 two-seaters. However, the US government placed a temporary hold on the sale, and escalating costs due to inflation resulted in a cut in the order to only 40 aircraft.
Grumman Aerospace at St. Augustine, Florida was given the contract to perform the rework on the TUDM Skyhawks. The rework included a complete rewiring, plus two extra underwing hardpoints similar to A-4E and later Skyhawks. A refurbished J65-W-20 engine was fitted. Updated electronics were also fitted, including the AN/ARN-118 TACAN, a SAAB RGS-2A lead computing weapons sight, a Lear Siegler altitude heading reference system, and an AN/ARC-164 UHF transceiver. The A-4Cs were fitted with the dorsal avionics hump. aswell as wing spoilers. A drag chute was installed below the tailpipe. A new canopy was fitted, which was slightly bulged at the sides. Some of the aircraft received preparations for the Hughes AN/ASB-19 Angles Rate Bombing System, aswell as provisions for AGM-65 Maverick missiles, but both were actually never used with these planes. Provisions for the use of AIM-9 Sidewinders were incorporated on the outer wing pylons. In the end, Grumman modified 34 aircraft. They were assigned the designation A-4PTM (where PTM stood for Peculiar to Malaysia, other sources say Persekutan Tanah Melayu - Federation of Malay States). The A-4PTM flew for the first time on April 12, 1984 and modified planes were assigned the TUDM serials of M32-07 to M32-40.
Six A-4C/A-4L airframes were converted into two-place Skyhawks. This was done by inserting a 28-inch plug into the fuselage. Canopy and tandem seating arrangements were generally similar to those of the Douglas-built TA-4s. These planes were designated TA-4PTM. The TA-4PTM also featured five underwing pylons. The first TA-4PTM took off on its maiden flight on August 28, 1984. The six TA-4PTMs were given the TUDM serials of M32-01 to M32-06. Since they were based on the earlier A-4C/L, the 6 planes were among the few two-seaters, that used the J65 engine (together with early TA-4S from Singapore).
Deliveries began in 1985 and were completed by February 1986. A-4PTMs served with No 6 and 9 Squadrons, both based at Kuantan AB, while TA-4PTMs served only with No 6 Squadron. Their service with the TUDM was quite brief. In 1989, it was announced that they were going to be withdrawn from service and replaced by British Aerospace Hawk Mk.208s in late 1994. Six Skyhawks were retained as tanker aircraft, using a centerline Douglas D-704 external buddy tank.
By September 1999, the TUDM Skyhawks were no longer operational, and were derelict at the Royal Malaysian Air Force Base at Kuantan.
Little information are available about those planes, so I tried to come as close as possible to the real ones. Cockpit is a heavily modded A-4F-cockpit modded around the fact, that the radarscreen was deleted and many intruments were rearranged to fill the space. According to Lt. Khoo those planes didn't have any countermeasures (no ECM, no Chaff/Flare-Dispensers) and probably no RWR. To add some survivability I deceided to leave RWR in the mod. ECM and Dispenser is commented out in the data.ini, so if you want to add those, just remove the //-bits.
If you now ask, why the hell do we need a mod of this plane, if it barely can survive in the timeframe it was used? We do not, but I made it, because I could :P I like this plane, because it always was one of the lesser known variants of this well-known plane and for me it is one of the best-looking Skyhawks out there. So, I hope you have some fun with the Jungle Scooter. :)

      Installation
      ============
      1. unzip to a temporary folder
      2. open "Put_Content_In_Your_MOOD_Folder" and do as you were told, if asked to overwrite, say 'yes' :P
      3. enjoy!
If the Squadrons are missing in the loadout screen, you should add the following lines in the squadronlist.ini ("<mod>\pilotdata"-folder) with XXX changed to the next free numbers:
      [SquadronXXX]
      Name=Malaysia_6SQN
      DisplayName=6th Squadron
      Nation=Malaysia
      [SquadronXXX]
      Name=Malaysia_9SQN
      DisplayName=9th Squadron

    18. Grumman E-2C Hawkeye

The Northrop Grumman E-2 Hawkeye is an American all-weather, carrier-capable tactical airborne early warning (AEW) aircraft.
This twin-turboprop aircraft was designed and developed during the late 1950s and early 1960s by the Grumman Aircraft Company
for the United States Navy as a replacement for the earlier, piston-engined E-1 Tracer, which was rapidly becoming obsolete.
The aircraft's performance has been upgraded with the E-2B, and E-2C versions, where most of the changes were made to the radar
and radio communications due to advances in electronic integrated circuits and other electronics.
The fourth major version of the Hawkeye is the E-2D, which first flew in 2007.
The E-2 was the first aircraft designed specifically for its role, as opposed to a modification of an existing airframe,
such as the Boeing E-3 Sentry. Variants of the Hawkeye have been in continuous production since 1960, giving it the longest
production run of any carrier-based aircraft.
The E-2 also received the nickname "Super Fudd" because it replaced the E-1 Tracer "Willy Fudd".
In recent decades, the E-2 has been commonly referred to as the "Hummer" because of the distinctive sounds of its turboprop
engines, quite unlike that of turbojet and turbofan jet engines. In addition to U.S. Navy service, smaller numbers of E-2s
have been sold to the armed forces of Egypt, France, Israel, Japan, Mexico, Singapore and Taiwan.

    19. Turkish Air Force AC-130U Spooky

C-130 “Hercules” is one of the cornerstones of the Aviation History and it may be considered as one of the most successful cargo planes with its innovative design in which traces of “Kelly” Johnson’s works may be found.
After having contracted for 2 prototypes on July 11, 1951, Lockheed committed the first to its maiden flight on August 23, 1954. The marriage of a new and innovative cargo plane design with the great power output of turboprop engines was viewed as very promising by the military, who quickly placed a large order, assigning them to the Tactical Air Command (TAC) as quickly as they became available, starting in December 1956.
The long list of Hercules applications for the more than 1,500 built and delivered to all the military services includes; gunships, drone carrier/launch/control, missile tracking, space capsule retrieval, mapping, search and rescue, STOL research, weather reconnaisance, refueling tanker (including helicopters), assault transport, and command/communications. In addition, a stretched version was built for civilian cargo hauling.
The C-130 was originally designed as an assault transport capable of operating from unpaved, hastily prepared airstrips. It  could transport up to 92 combat troops and their gear or 45,000 pounds of cargo. Where facilities were inadequate, the Hercules could deliver its cargo by parachute or by low altitude ground-cable extraction without landing.
Twenty-eight C-130s were also converted to side-firing gunships, called AC-130 “Gunship” and they were primarily used for night attacks against ground targets during the Vietnam War.

    20. SF2 OV-10A Bronco, Remod Pack

      SF2 OV-1A Bronco, Remod Pack       7/27/2019
-For SF2, Any and All (Full Merged Reccomended)
This is an remod of the North American OV-10A Bronco FAC and light attack aircraft, previously available. While there are still several issues (documented in "Notes"), it is in as good a shape as possible for SF2 without having someone build an entirely new LOD. If you have ANY previous versions, you are STRONGLY advised to back them up or delete them from you Mods folder(s). This includes the aircraft, decals, etc.
There are 9 skin and decal sets in this package. Skins remain in their original bmp format. Many decals have been refreshed to remove any "ghosting" around their edges. The SF2 "date switch" =IS= active on several skins. Included are the pilot figures, the drop tank and sounds. All weapons used on the aircraft are STOCK 3W items.
      The skins included are:
      USAF:
      20th TASS Overall Gray (1969<)
      19th TASS (USAF Camo1)
      19th TASS Euro 1 (3-tone Gray/Greens)
      USN:
      VAL-4 "Black Ponies" (1969-72 SEA)
      USMC:
      HMLA-267 (1968-71)
      VMO-2 (1968-1979)
      VMO-2 (Desert Camo)(1990<)
      VMO-6 (1968-77)
      USMC Camo1 (3-tone Gray)
As is always reccommended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. Please read the notes section for more information and the change log. USAFMTL's original 2009 readme is included, in the main aircraft folder, for historical purposes.

    22. SF2 Lockheed L-1049 Super Constellation Pack by RussoUK

SF2 Lockheed L-1049 Super Constellation Pack by RussoUK       8/20/2020
-For SF2, Any and All (Full 4/5 Merged Reccomended)
      "Quarantine Approved - Essential Mods"
This package contains a new aircraft, the Lockheed L-1049 Super Constellation airliner.
The aircraft is presented in the livery of Trans World Airlines (TWA) as seen in the 1950s; the heyday of the properller-driven airliner.
Company markings are painted on, but 18 100% historical registration number and aircraft name ("Star of ***") decals are provided. Decal randomization is TRUE. The aircraft has a cockpit, so you can fly it if you wish. But as with all the TRANSPORT aircraft, leaving them in AI hands is reccommended. All sounds, pilots, etc have been included.
When in game, on the Aircraft Selection Dropdown menu, you'll see:
      Lockheed L1049 Constellation (R)
Hopefully, will differentiate it from any other civil Constellations that may (or may not) be available. The "R" stands for RussoUK, the model maker.
As is always reccommended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. Also, the credits list all the original FSX model & skin creators.

    23. SF2 McDonnell F2H-2 Banshee (KAW) by Veltro2K

      SF2 McDonnell F2H-2 Banshee by Veltro2K      9/15/2020
-For SF2, Any and All (Full 5 Merged Recommended)
      "Quarantine Approved - Essential Mods"
This package contains a new aircraft, the McDonnell F2H-2 Banshee, as used by the US Navy during the Korean War. That being said, this package =ONLY= contains those units that participated in the conflict. There are 4 units (skins) included in this package. In chronological order:
VF-172 Blue Bolts (USS ESSEX, 1951)
VF-11 Red Rippers (USS KEARSARGE, 1952)
      VF-22 Cavaliers -
VF-62 Gladiators (both aboard USS LAKE CHAMPLAIN, 1953)
The textureset inis for all skins has a listing of the exact dates of deployment.
All markings, excepting squadron color bands, are decals. Decal Randomization is TRUE. 24 Modex numbers are supplied for each unit. The 24 'data plaque" BuNums are a pool shared among all the aircraft. Those units that are listed in the game's Squadron List, have their Displayed Name activated by my Patent-Pending 'Fake SqTail' decal. All weapons, sounds, and a pilot figure are supplied. New "box-art" style hangar and loading screens are also included, as is a spare "photo" style loading screen if you get bored with the painting.
Wingfold and canopy operations are the Standard Animation Keystrokes (tm), Shift/0 (zero) for the canopy, and Shift/9 for the wings.
      When in-game, you'll see
      F2H-2 Banshee (V2K)
on the aircraft selection drop-down list. This will diferentiate it from any other Banshees you may, or may not, have.
As is always recommended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. Also, =PLEASE= read the 'Notes' section for other IMPORTANT information on in-game operations.

    24. SF2 F3D-2/EF-10B Skyknight by Coyote Aerospace

      SF2 F3D-2/EF-10B Skyknight by Coyote Aerospace       1/1/2024
-For SF2, Any and All (Full 4/5 Merged Recommended)
This is the release of AngelP's F3D-2/EF-10 "Skyknight". It's being released as a "provisional Beta", due to the LOD needing more work. But rest assured, it's been 'tested to destruction', and other than needing a few more seperated meshes, is fully functional.
The aircraft has been split into two differing birds, one the night/all weather fighter for the 1950s (F3D-2) and the Vietnam War era stand-off/escort jammer (EF-10B). Due to the need for certain types of electronics (avionics), 2 different cockpits have been used.
The aircraft(s) include the following skin sets:
      F3D-2:
VC-3 (USN) in standard overall Dark Gloss Navy Blue
      VMF(N)-513 -
VMF(N)-531 - both in overall Night Black, USMC night fighters during the Korean War
      EF-10B:
      VMCJ-1 in standard Gull Grey/White
Most marking are decals; excepting a few squadron flashes. Decal randomization is TRUE. As expected, as many Modex numbers as possible have been matched to their BuNums. These are marked with the star (*). Those unmarked could not be matched, or are just 'generic' in nature. Included are pilot figures, drop tanks (ini only) and the EF-10 gets external jammer and chaff pods. This aircraft is NOT carrier qualfied, although the wings fold with the Standard Animation Keystroke (tm), Shift/9, and the canopy hatch with Shift/0.
When in-game, on the Aircraft Selection dropdown you'll see for each:
      F3D-2 Skyknight (CAF)
      EF-10B Skyknight (CAF)
these will differentiate ours from any others you might (or most likely DON'T) have.
As is always reccommended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. If there's any Notes, give them a read too! :)
