  2. ANG C-130H Skins

    ANG C-130H Hercules Skins

Contained within this pack are skins for the following ANG units:

    179th AW - Ohio ANG
    133rd AW - Minnesota ANG
    153rd AW - Wyoming ANG
130th AW - West Virginia ANG
143rd AW - Rhode Island ANG
    166th AW - Delaware ANG
    165th AW - Georgia ANG
    182nd AW - Illinois ANG
    136th AW - Texas ANG
    176th WG - Alask ANG

    Installation:

    1) Unzip and place the folders in your C-130H main folder

    2) Add the texture sets to your C-130H.ini file

    3) Fly away!

All of the artwork is to the best of my abilities. The Wyoming ANG tail band has a cowboy decal on the actual aircraft, but I was unable to design a suitable decal on the tail, so I left it off. Also, the Rhode Island tailwork is actually on a C-130J model, but I didn't find that out until after I designed the skin, so I included it anyways. Feel free to not install if you so choose.

    Thanks to the following:

    - TK and Thirdwire
    - 'Dave'
    - Original Model by Dels, additional work by bpao (RIP Oli)
    - airliners.net, airfighters.com, and af.mil for skin references

  3. ANG C-5A Skin Add-on

    ANG C-5A Skin addition

    1) The attached file includes 'West Virginia Air Guard' on the fuselage of the aircraft, just like the real aircraft.

    2) Unfortunately, the lettering only shows up clearly when the gear are up on the aircraft due to the modeling structure of the aircraft.

    Instructions:

    1) Copy file to your C-5A skin directory and allow for override to update the skin.

    2) Go fly!

    Thanks and credit to:
    - TK and Thirdwire
    - Veltro2k for the original C-5A Galaxy upload
    - Pappychksix for the original skin

ANG KC-135R StratoTanker Skins Part 3

Contained within this pack are skins for the following ANG units:

117th ARW - Alabama ANG. I found an online photo with a special 'Auburn' tail art on a Alabama ANG KC-135R from 2007.
126th ARW - Illinois ANG. I found a photo with updated Illinois ANG tail art on airfighters.com from 2011.
    121st ARW - Ohio ANG.

    Updated file for Iowa ANG:
I re-vamped the tail for this aircraft with a new font that closely resembles the actual tail on the 185th ARW's KC-135Rs.

    Installation:

    1) Unzip and place the Ohio ANG, Alabama ANG 2007 and Illinois ANG 2011 folders in your KC-135R main folder.

    2) Add the texture sets to your KC-135R.ini file.

Open the Iowa ANG tail folder contained in this pack, select the .bmp file in this folder. Open the Iowa ANG folder from the previous pack that you installed. Paste the new .bmp file in this pack in the folder from the previous pack, and allow for overwrite. This will replace the old file with the new (and better!) file.

    Thanks to the following:

    - TK and Thirdwire
    - 'Dave' for the following:
    - For the KC-135R model original release.

  7. AT-6G Mosquito Fictional SEA Skin

    Fictional AT-6G Mosquito skin for SF1 & SF2.
This is a What If SEA skin for Wrench's AT-6G Mosquito mod found here: http://combatace.com/files/file/9082-at-6g-texan-mosquito-fac/
It is Wrench's mod to Bunyap's T-6 Texan. You will need this file for the plane, weapons and decal numbers.

Bunyap's T-6 Texan is a bit old and has a few malfunctions such as a shadow line and no texture mapping for the tires, etc. But it looks good in the air.
If you would like my .psd layer mods to Wrench's template, PM me.

Thanks to Bunyap for the plane and Wrench for the Mosquito mod and templates.
    Any questions, please ask.
    Enjoy,
    Geary

  9. Black Skin for U-2A

Black U-2 Add-on for the Lockheed U-2A Pack Released by Wrench
    by Viper63a

This is an add-on skin so you will need the Lockheed U-2A Pack Released by Wrench installed first. You can download that "gem" here...

    http://combatace.com/files/file/11575-lockheed-u-2a-for-sf2/

While I was creating my own Hangar and Loading screens, I noticed most of the U2s in the pix were black. So I changed one of the skins to black. I didn't just darken the skin, I recreated each panel to retain the detail and quality of the original. Optional Hangar and Loading screens are included.

Also available in this pack is an optional U2 (modified A12) Pilot in orange flight suit. To use this pilot, you will have to change the [Pilot] section of the "U-2_DATA.INI" file to use the "PilotModelName=U2PilotLate"...

This is a new skin, so there should be no conflicts...but I recommend that you back up your mod folder just in case.

    * To install, simply unzip and copy the contents of the "To_Mod_Folder" folder to your StrikeFighter2 mod folder you have installed Wrech's pack to and Overwrite (if needed).

My StrikeFighter2 mod on Win97 64-bit was..(yours may be different)...

    C:\Users\<your_id>\Saved Games\Thirdwire\StrikeFighter2...

For more info, read the "Original_sf2_u2_pak_readme.txt"...I mean read it, there is some good stuff about flying the U2 in the original readme.

    Enjoy!

  11. Bloody Hundreth Tanking into the 90s: 100th ARW skin for the KC=135R

Bloody Hundreth Tanking into the 90s: 100th ARW skin for the KC=135R
This skinpack is a representation of the 100th Air Refueling Wing at RAF Mildenhall during the 1990s. Tracing its lineage back to the 100th Bomb Group of WW2, the 100th has featured nose arts on its tankers throughout the year, often replicating or paying tribute to nose arts from the original Bloody Hundreth

            Included*
two skins; one 1993 in the Shamu scheme and one 1998 in the AMC grey scheme
decals for both skins including nose arts for all aircraft that had them

        Required
a legal functioning install of any SF2 version
KC-135R aircraft and sounds, found in the download section
       https://combatace.com/files/file/12454-mirage-factory-c-135ab-and-kc-135aer/
        Installation
unzip this mod, then install new mod folder categories to your mod folder (Aircraft to aircraft etc)
    allow overwrites
fire up game, take off and go pass gas
        Known Issues
-This is meant as eye candy. unfortunately, SF2 doesnt support air to air refueling so the best to be done is set up a recon mission and then park it in an orbit.
-Also, the C-130 cockpit is not too accurate. it is included mainly so that it can be player selected (i had to test it somehow). remember that there is no air to air refueling in game, so these are more eye candy than operational birds

    *Wagner CD not included

What-if Army Air Corps Cessna AOP MkI. Skin for the Overkill payware O-1D Bird Dog available here:

    http://overkill.combatace.com/

I recommend this aircraft highly - it is easily the most carefully researched and built aircraft I have ever seen for SF2, and sets new standards in every respect. Well worth the very reasonable contribution.

This aircraft skin is inspired by the Auster AOP Mk.6, a very similar aircraft used by the British Army and some Commonwealth armed forces. The serial numbers correspond to blocks used for AOP Mk.6 aircraft.

  20. E-2C Hawkeye, JASDF Skin Pak (SF2NA)

    SF2NA Nor/Grum E-2C Hawkeye, JASDF Skin Pak
    = For SF2, Full-5 Merged Reccomended and/or SF2:NA ONLY! =

REMINDER: you MUST have SF2:NA to access the the E-2C. If you do not meet this minimum requirement, do NOT download this mod, as you'll not be able to use it!

A very simple reskin/redecaling of the recently added E-2C Hawkeye as used by the Japanes Air Self-Defense Force.

99.99999% Historically accurate decals replicate the 13 aircraft as used by 601 Hikotai. All markings are decals.

No other inis or other mods are included (read: cockpit, avionics, data, etc); it's just the skin for now. I'm working on tweeking a few items missed or misplaced, and will upload a 'fixit' pak in the near future, with corrected lighting, a 'passable' cockpit', and manually folding wings.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. Please read them!

  25. F3H-2 Demon skins

This is an improved skin pack for the F3H-2 Demon. It does not contain the plane.
You need to download it first from the SF1 download section.

What's new? The lines and rivets are redrawn in 2048x2048, as well as most of the squadron specific art and markings.
I also modified the opacity a bit of the decals to make them more blend with the skins.

    Installation:

    1. If you haven't done so, first download and install the F3H-2 Demon add-on aircraft.
    Get it here: http://combatace.com/files/file/5215-f3h-demon

    2. Paste the skin folders from this pack in your Aircraft folder
    Objects/Aircraft/F3H-2

    3. Paste the decals into the Decals folder: Objects/Decals/F3H-2

PS: I also included the templates I made with all the artwork, weathering, etc.
In case anyone would like to create more skins.
In the Demon03 file you need to change the position of the Star and change the light colour to get the Demon04.
