    This is a re-skin of the stock p-51D for the Fuerza Aerea Uruguaya (local name: F-51D)

    ou must have the P-51D from the Strike Fighters 2 Expansion Pack 1 for these skins to work.
    You will get the following RCAF P-51D Post War Auxiliary Squadrons skins in this package that were used from 1947 to 1960 :
    402 "City of Winnipeg" Early Skin
    402 "City of Winnipeg" Late Skin
    403 "City of Calgary" Late Skin
    420 "City of London" Early Skin
    424 "City of Hamilton" Early Skin 1
    424 "City of Hamilton" Early Skin 2
    442 "City of Vancouver" Early Skin
    443 "City of New Westminster" Late Skin 1
    443 "City of New Westminster" Late Skin 2
    Installation:

    Copy the current pack objects/aircraft folders in your game P-51D aircraft folder.
    Copy the current pack objects/decals folder in your game P-51D decals folder.
    Copy the content of the P-51.ini to the game P-51D aircraft folder and change TextureSet number in consequence.
    RCAF serials and plane numbers are real one's within their respective squadron's. Exception is when lettering is used it's far from relevant :).

  3. TW RF-51D for Korean War

    TW RF-51D for Korean War
     
    This are a skin and aircraft files to create a RF-51D using the TW P-51D.
     
    You must have the P-51D from the Strike Fighters 2 Expansion Pack 1 for this mod to work.
     
    (If you don't have the TW P-51D and want a RF-51D for your SF2 Korean War install, there's a great one by FastCargo/Wrench in the downloads section.)
     
    The cameras are 2D and are painted on the skin. The skin texture files are in .jpg format at 1024 x 1024 pixels.
     
    Thanks and credit go to:
    Third Wire - for the P-51D model.
    Wrench - for the decals and RF-51D original skin I modified.
    Me - for creating/painting on the 2D camera's; modifiying Wrench's skin to this plane.
    ? - I'm not sure who created the 108 gallon drop tanks. They've been around for many years. Thanks to the unknown creator. (Consensus is the F-51D used the 108 gallon drop tanks more than the WWII 75 gallon tanks.)

    INSTALLATION: Unzip to a folder/place of your choice. Copy, Move, Drag-n-Drop or do whatever you wish to get the folders into their corresponding folders in your SF2 Korea install. Fly.
     
    I'm releasing this under the Combat Ace Fair Use Agreement. Use it anyway you wish for personal use but please give credit to those due it.

  4. 335th FS P-51 Mustang (TW) decal upgrade

    This is the second updated set of decals for the 4th FG P-51D/K Mustang skin set released back in July.
     
    This set includes the correct serial numbers for the 335th FS' P-51D Mustangs. Plus some nose art (more coming later!).
    Also included are a new decal.ini, new numbers.lst and new TextureSet.ini.
     
    Warning: the decal.ini may need some editing depending on how you have your folders organized!
     
    To install just drop in the corresponding folder and overwrite when prompted.

    **Notex2: These aircraft should ONLY be used in a seperate CBI-centric mods folder to prevent them from showing up where, historically, they shouldn't. The Aircraft/GroundObject sets for CBI are substantially different from Central or SouthWest Pacific areas.**
     
    New skin, decal pak and modifided data ini (new engine sound and fake pilot ADF loop) for Wolf257's P-51A Mustang, for use in the Burma/India regions. This mod is designed for use on the "Mustange of the CBI" pak available at the following url:

    This skin represents P-51A's of the 1st Air Commando Group in India/Burma in late 1943-45.
    The skin is in jpg format, and decal randomization is TRUE. All markings, excepting the ACG stripes, are decals. The skin iteslf is new, with additional surface detailings. NO weapons are included; you should have them all already.
     
    As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them.

    = For SF2, (Full 5 Merged Reccomended/Prefered) =
     
    A new skin for ETO based P-51B (square canopy) Mustangs. This is for Wolf's Mustang, not any others. If you don't have the SF2 Uprated version of Wolf's P-51B, you get it at the following URL:

    This skin represents aircraft from the 336th Fighter Squadron, 4th Figher Group, in 1944 (before D-Day, or after, assuming the Invasion Stripes are removed).
     
    The aircraft is finished standard OD/Grey, with white QIMs
    The skin is in jpg format, and is slightly revamped from earlier version, with new panel and rivet lines. All markings (excepting the QIMs and national markings) are decals. Decal randomization is TRUE. Serial numbers are 100% correct, and matched to the 'plane-in-group' letters, excpeting those marked with a star (*). Those aricraft DID serve in the 336, but I was unable to match the serials to any individual letter. There are NO nose arts, excepting Gentile & Godfrey's red checks, and Gentile's "Shangra-La". Others texture/decal artists are encouraged to do the leg/brain work if they wish to create others. Be advised, there may not be enough mesh positions for correct placements.
    Also, included is a modified loadout ini, as I'd originally inadvertently assigned the drop tanks to the wrong hardpoints!
     
    As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them ....

    = For SF2, (Full 5 Merged Reccomended/Prefered) =
     
    A new skin for ETO based P-51C (Malcom Hood) Mustangs. If you don't have the SF2 Uprated version, you can get it at the following URL:

    This skin represents aircraft from the 382nd Fighter Squadron, 363rd Figher Group, 9th Air Force, as based in England, and later forward bases on The Continent after D-Day.
    The aircraft is finished in 'natural metal', and carriers Invasion Stripes in the approximate time frame of July thru November 1944 (lower surfaces only).
    The skin is in jpg format. All markings (excepting the QIM on the fin and tailplanes and Invasion Stripes) are decals. Decal randomization is TRUE. Serial numbers are correct for the model depicted, but NOT for any specific aircraft with this squadron. Consider them 'generic' in nature.
    Also, included is a modified Data ini, as I made a few small changes (like attaching the tail light to the rudder, so it moves!)
     
    Remember, historically, the only difference between a B and C model (as both could, and did, recieve the Malcom Hood mod), is the B was built in Ingelwood, California and the C in Dallas, Texas.
    As both Wolf's B & C Mustang are mapped identically, End Users ™ can use it for either one.
     
    As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them . Also, give the "Notes" a glance, too.

    **You =MUST= have SF2:I Expansion Pak 1 for the Mustangs!! If you do not have that
    expansion pak, this mod will do you no good**
     
    A New skin/decal pak for the 3W Mustang, represents the 194th Fighter squadron,
    California Air National Guard from 1948 through the mid-1950s. It was inspired by
    suhjake's mod for Wolf's old D mustang. In fact, I reused several of the original
    decals. They are marked with a star (*). All the others are new builds. You have 26
    total serial and "wing ID numbers".
    The skin is in jpg format, and Decal randomization is TRUE. The "StartDefaultDsate"
    switch is also used, and is set for 1948.
     
    As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So,
    please read them ....

  22. Mustang Mk. IV camo skins

    These generic skin sets were made by me and are for Third Wire's P-51D.
    They can be used to create most Royal Air Force camoflaged Mustang Mk. IV units.
     
    Two sets are provided: RAFCamo1 has a red spinner, while RAFCamo2 has a white one.
     
    NO decal.ini's are provided (sorry!).

    -As stated above, you MUST have at the very least SF2I WITH expansion Pak 1, or you won't have access to the aircraft and it's cockpit.-
     
    The is a partial reskin/redecaling of the stock 3rdWire P/F-51D Mustang into those as used by the FAN durning the 1950-70s (as many Latin American Air Forces used them for quite some time!!). Many of these aircraft took part in the (in)famous "Soccer War".
     
    It represent's FAN Mustangs from the 1950 through their retiement in the 1970s.

    Note: if you want to get the corrected lighting and operating canopy, you should (it's reccomended!) get this Mutang Upgrade Pak from the following URL:

    Not only will it add the 100% historically correct lights, but it'll tweek up the USAF skin with proper decal placements, and serial numbers

    *Note: must have the SF2I Expansion Pak (whichever one gave us the Mustang) in your Merged Installs, due to this aircraft referencing the Stock 3rd Wire Mustang serial number decals*
     
    A simple reskin for the KAW Era RF-51D, creates a "Plane Jane" F6D Mustang for WW2 usage. The aircrat has no squadron or other type of markings. This makes it usable in any theatre. However, it should be noted, SOME units did have their own markings. Consider THIS skin for exactly what it is: Generic ™
     
    To be used on the KAW RF-51D; the aircraft is available at the following URL:

    Like the original, it uses DDS textues, and will NOT work in any 1stGen game installs at all.
    This skin uses the "StartDefaultDate=" statement, so as to start in 1944 (aircraft's default in service year).

    When in game, you'll see:
     
    "Natural Metal (WW2)
     
    on the skin selection drop down menu.

    -For SF2, Full-4 Merged w/Exp1 & Exp2 (reccomended)
     
    It =REQUIRES= a Full-4 Merged install, or at the very least, SF2:I AND Expansion Pak 1 for the various and sundry bits used herein (to, wit, the P-51D from Expansion Pak 1. If you do NOT have the minimum required game installs, DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS MOD, as you won't be able to use it. It may also require Expansion Pak 2, as that added a new userlist and boatloads of decals for many aircraft
     
    This pak contains a skin a decal set replicating F-51D Mustangs as used by the Guatemalan AF, with 100% historicaly accurate serial numbers. Number randomization has been activated, so make sure you're at LEAST at the June,2011 patch level. It's also reccomened that you have some of my other Mustang mods, to get some of the little tweeks (canopy, corrected/accurate lights, etc). Just for fun and all that!
