  1. SF2 WW2 PTO D3A1 Val Pak

    SF2 WW2 D3A1 "Val" Dive Bomber

-- Something for the PTO players --

    = For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =

*There is a distinct possibility that this mod will =NOT= work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs, due to the excessive modifications made to fit them into the SF2 environment.*

This is a compilation of all my work for Pasko's D3A1 Val. It is designed to replace ALL the previously released versions. So, be advised.
There is one aircraft in the pack with a multitude of skins:

IJN Carriers at Pearl Harbor (all 6)
IJN Carriers at Midway (all 4)
IJN mid-late war (carrier AND Land Based, 1 each)

12 skin/decal sets in all. Numbering is as historically accurate as days and weeks of research can determine (including work for the original release some years ago)

A semi-compliant SF2 Flight Model has been cobbled together, but it REALLLLLLY do needs further fine tuning by experts. I'm NOT happy at all with it; somebody PLEASE make the necessary adjustments. (do we have a begging smilie??)

All skins are jpg format. Decal randomization is set to TRUE, but this may NOT be historically correct; Squadron and Flight leaders used 3, 2 and 1 color bands on the tail to identify themselves. With randomizaion set TRUE, the No.1 Bird will be 'whatever' is chosen by the GameEngine ™. Research has shown the Squadron Commander (and suboritinate Flight leaders) tended to 'lead from the front', so if the randomization is bothersome, simply edit the required inis, and remove it.

SF2 versions of the old 'box art' Hangar and Loading screens are included.
Sounds, weapons, etc and so forth are included. As a bonus, I finally figured out the canopy animation, so use Shift/0 to open and close the cockpit window. Wingfold however, is NOT working as that was never built into the LOD. SF2NA Carrier Based Statements have been adjusted to suit.

As always, fairly easy to follow, highly detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. Information on the 'bombbay' is interestering to note!
All readmes from the original releases, and re-releases are included where discoverable from the archives.

  2. SF2 WW2 PTO Ki-27 Nate Pak

    SF2 WW2 Ki-27 "Nate"

-- Something for the PTO players --
    = For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =

*There is a distinct possibility that this mod will =NOT= work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs, due to the excessive modifications made to fit them into the SF2 environment.*

This is a compilation of all my work, and anyone elses I could find, for Wolf's K-27 Nate IJAAF fighter. It is designed to replace ALL the previously released versions. So, be advised.

This pak comprises the complete aircraft, with several skins from differing time frames of WW2. Most are for those units based in China, Indo-China/Malaysia and Burma regions, with one I've been able to ID as being used in Japan in the last days of the war. Skins are by myself and Jeff "pcpilot" Gerald.

It has semi-compliant (VERY! semi!) SF2 Flight Models, but they REALLLLLLY do need further fine tuning by experts (meaning: it turns on a dime, and gives back 9.5 cents change).
All skins are in jpg format, and decal randomization (for those with ID numbers) is set to TRUE. the 77 Sentai skins use decals for the Chutai markings. I've tried, as best as possible, to use the 'StartDefaultDate' on all skins to limit the availability for pre-War markings from those that came into being post-American entry into WW2. 2 of these skins are Sentai that operated in Manchuria against the Soviets in the Late 1930s.

A new SF2 version of the old 'box art' Hangar Screen is included.
Sounds are included (which you prolly have anyway, along with the bombs and drop tanks.) A new glass tga finally allows the aircraft to have visible windows.

As always, fairly easy to follow, highly detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too.
All readmes from the original releases, and re-releases, are included where discoverable from the archives.

This will give the AVG guys something to go up against -- 77 Sentai was one of their main antagonists.
Also included is my HomeGrown Template ™. It too, could use some enhancing.
Remember folks, the physical model is very old; "it is as it is", and any flaws/faults cannot be fixed without the unavailable MAX files.

  3. SF2 WW2 PTO Ki-43 Oscar by ArmorDave

    SF2 WW2 PTO Ki-43 Oscar by ArmorDave

-- Something for the PTO players --
    = For SF2, Full-4/5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =

*There is a distinct possibility that this mod will =NOT= work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs, due to the excessive modifications made to fit them into the SF2 environment.*

This is an SF2 version of my 1stGen "AD Oscar Update Pak". I'd forgotten to upload it (what with all the personal computer drama lately...and still ongoing...) so here it is now.

Unlike the original SF/Wo* pak, I've created all 3 skins for the 11 Sentai; each of the 3 Chutai are represented by different color lightning bolt on the tail.
The other skin included is 1 Sentai, 3 Chutai, iirc, from the CBI region.

All skins are jpg, and as these Sentai used no individual aircraft numbers, the only marking are the tail decals (for 11 Sentai)

As expected, it has a semi-compliant SF2 Flight Models, but they do need further fine tuning by experts.
To diferentiate it from the Wolf Oscar, in-game you'll see the displayed name:

    Ki-43-Ia "Oscar" (AD)

As always, fairly easy to follow, highly detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Remember -- these are very old models, so they "are as they is". All original readmes, when discoverable, are included.

  4. SF2 WW2 PTO Mitsubishi J2M Raiden (Jack) Pak

The Mitsubishi J2M Raiden "Thunderbolt" was a single-engined land-based Fighter used by the Japanese naval Air Services World War II. The Aliied reporting name was "Jack".

While this release is similiar to the Jack as used in the A-Team Skunkworks PTO AIMP, it has been slightly reworked for General Release . This is the full aircraft package, with everything needed.

Important Note: DO NOT use this mod within the Dev A-Team PTO All Inclusive Mod Pak!! You =WILL= break their campaigns . It is for use ONLY in a 'regular' PTO-centric mods folder.

    Credits:
Veltro2k for the aircraft (and A-Team Skunkworks for finalization work)
Charles for the FM and base skins
    GregoryP for the AvHistory sounds
The Great Wrench for a WHOLE bunch of stuff!! and decals and screens such like

  7. Kyushu J7W1 Shinden "Magnificent Lightning"

The Kyushu J7W1 Shinden "Magnificent Lightning" fighter was a World War II Japanese propeller-driven aircraft prototype that was built in a canard design.
The wings were attached to the tail section and stabilizers were on the front. The propeller was also in the rear, in a pusher configuration.
Developed by the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) as a short-range, land-based interceptor, the J7W was a response to B-29 Superfortress raids on the Japanese home islands.
For interception missions, the J7W was to be armed with four forward-firing 30 mm cannons in the nose.
The Shinden was expected to be a highly maneuverable interceptor, but only two prototypes were finished before the end of war.
A gas turbine–powered version was considered, but never even reached the drawing board.

  8. SF2 WW2 PTO Mitsubishi G3M Nell Pak

    SF2 WW2 PTO Mitsubishi G3M Nell Pak by Veltro2K

-- Something for the PTO players --
    = For SF2, Full-5 Merged (ONLY!!!) =

*** Important Note: due to the use of SF2NA coding for the Naval Strike (aka 'Cruise Missle') usage, you MUST have built you PTO mods folder from the SF2NA exe. The torpedo supplied herein is set as a short range cruise missile, and will ABSOLUTELY NOT work in 1stGens at any patch level, and may not work properly in SF2 game installs withOUT SF2NA in the merged core files. Also, the use of 'open cockpit' and other statements in various inis preclude it use in SF/Wo* 1stGen games. Also, having SF2I Expansion Pak 1 is a must, as the destroyed model referenced herein uses the C-47A destroyed model. If you do NOT have SF2I Exp1, you'll have to find another desetroyed lod to reference.***

    A re-release of Veltro's G3M "Nell" IJN attack bomber. Inside you'll find...

The original skin, overall green/light green-blue unders that I've tentativly identified as the Mihoro Naval Air Corps (later redesignated 701 Kokutai).
A NEW "quick and dirty" one by me, representing Chitose NAC (later 703 Kokutai), with 18 new 'plane-in-group/serial decals. It's also the green/blue-grey.

The skins are in jpg format, the orignal decals (17) are resued on the Mihoro/701 skin, and 18 new decal were created for the Chitose/701 skin.Decal Randomization is set to TRUE. All IJAAF/IJN weapons (bombs), including the NA-style semi-experimental 'cruise missle' torpedo. Pilot figures, and a 'new' engine sound from the AvHistory sounds set. Both the Hangar and Loading screens are brand new for this reissue.

To reduce the chance of conflicts with any other Nells you may (or may not) have, everthing is refered to by the 'v2k' suffix. So, when in game, you'll see

    G3M2 Model 22 "Nell" (V2K)

on the aircraft selection dropdown menu.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!! PLEASE read the "Notes" section for the change list, and other important notations. Also, the Legal Statement has been changed with regards to this aircraft.
For those that still have the original release, it's advised you delete the aircraft and decals folders for them; this pak is desinged to replace them in total.

**The aircraft herein are released in "AS IS" Condition. The source files have been lost, and there can and WILL be no modifications to the physical model. It 'are as it is' and you must accept them with this caveat in mind. Any and all issues/problems that cannot be solved via ini edits will exist forever, as new models are unlikely to be created.**

  9. SF2 Ki-43 Hayabusa (Oscar) Pak (by Wolf257)

Nakajima Ki-43 Hayabusa "Oscar" Pak for SF2 (Wolf257)

-- Something for the PTO players --
    = For SF2, Full-4/5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =

*There is a possibility that this mod will =NOT= work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs, due to the
excessive modifications made to fit them into the SF2 environment.*

Mods/reskins/redcalings for Wolf257's Ki-43 IJAAF WW2 aircaft. This package contains the full
    aircraft, 'rebuilt' into several variants:
Allowing for physical differences that cannot be changed between variants, this package contains
    the following aircraft:

    Ki-43i
    Ki-43ic
    Ki-43IIB
    Ki-43III

For a listing of Sentai, consult the various aircraft aircraft folders. Remember, this LOD is
from 2004, the MAX files are unavailable, so it is as it is. Compliants on the physical model
    will be ignored.

All skins are in jpg format, Decal Randomization is TRUE (for the one skin that has numbers).
Chutai markings for all but the 'green' skin are decals. All get new SF2 versions of the original
'box art' hangar screens (it's the same screen reused for all!). DDS damage textures and
Destroyed models are included for all (taken from the WW2 terrains).
Due to the mapping being the same, what with the same lod being used for all, all skins are
easily transferable between the different variants. In truth, 99.9% of Oscar units used all the
variant at some point during the War.

All have (pretty much the same, with slight differences) semi-compliant SF2 Flight Models, but
they do need further fine tuning by experts. All lighting is 100% historically correct.
All weapons, guns, a pilot figure and sounds are included.

As always, fairly easy to follow, highly detailed install instructions are included. So, please
read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. All original readmes, if I'd found them,
    are included for historical purposes.

  10. SF2 N1K1 Rex and N1K2-J George

    SF2 N1K1 "Rex" and N1K2-J 'George"

-- Something for the PTO players --
    = For SF2, Full-4/5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =

*There is a possibility that this mod will =NOT= work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs, due to the excessive modifications made to fit them into the SF2 environment. Also, the DestroyedModel referenced for both aircraft 'looks' for the SF2V A-1 Skyraider, hence the Full 4/5 Merged reccomendation*

Mods/reskins/redcals for Wolf257's IJN fighter, and Pasko's Rex Floatplane. This package contains BOTH full aircraft:

N1K1 Kyofu "Rex" by Pasko, with both it's skins/decals
"Black" - Ohtsu Kokutai, Lake Biwa, Japan, Sept. 1944
"Green" 22 Kokutai, Balikpapan, Borneo, 1945

    N1K2-J Skinden-kai "George" by Wolf257, with 3 skins/decals
    "343" Genda's Squadron of Experts
"IJN" 210 Kokutai, Phillipines, 1944 (real Ku used the early model mid-wing N1K1-J)
"IJN2" Yokosuka Air Group, 1945, Home Islands Defense

All George skins are in jpg format, the Rex keeps them in bmp as they are quite small (512x), and conveting them might loose some detailing (meaning: I didn't want to create new templates, and they look OK as they are). Decal Randomization is TRUE. Both get new SF2 versions of the original 'box art' hangar screens.

All weapons, (ok a new drop tank), pilot figures, are included. A new (almost) SF2-compliant FM for bot was created. As always, since I'm really not an FM Guru, further tweeks/adjustments are necessary. Also, the physical models are quite old, and any flaws/defects/etc cannot be repaired/fixed/etc. It is as it is. The "FakePilot" method is used on the George to add the belly pylon. Outerpylons are still 'not there' for bombs. Damage textures are the 'original' tgas from Gen1.
Stary was kind enough to revist and fiddle a new cockpit for the George; the Rex keeps it's original release version.

Both have semi-compliant SF2 Flight Models, but they do need further fine tuning by experts. All lighting on both aircraft is 100% historically correct.
For those wishing to create other serials, the "TNum.psd" can be found in the Decals folders for the proper skins.

As always, fairly easy to follow, highly detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. All original readmes, when locatable, are included for historical purposes

  11. Showa/Nakajima L2D "Tabby" (for SF2 WW2 PTO)

    Showa/Nakajima L2D "Tabby" WW2 IJN Transport
    == For WW2 PTO SF2, Any and All, =WITH= SF2:I Expansion Pak1 ==

*Note: can be used in any PTO centric install, BUT you MUST have Expansion Pak 1 to gain access to the stock 3W C-47A this is based on.*

This is a mod of the stock 3rdWire C-47A into the Japanese-built L2D, code named "Tabby" by the Allies. This mod also replaces my eariler 1stGen version, based off the DAT C-47, and reuses those very same decals.

The cockpit ini, whilst the standard Skytrain one, has been converted to metric measurments. ALL insturmentation labeling remains in English. A new nation has been added, and instructions for adding "IJN" to your WW2 nations ini are included in the "To Install" section. Although not required, it's an option

The aircraft has been reskinned in a redish-brownish color seen on many IJN aircraft, and represents aircraft from the 4th Kantai Transport Division (the only unit I could find references and tail codes for). Tail code decals for 18 aircraft are included. Decal randomization is set to TRUE.

As always, READ the enclosed readme for full, detailed instructions. This package has been broken down into the various folders that SF2 needs, to make it a LOT easier to install (read: drag and drop).
Just another mod I had sitting on the HD, collecting stray electrons. Thought I finish it off, and get it out the door. Although of no practical use in-game, it will give you another parked aircraft to strafe.

  12. SF2 WW2 PTO/CBI Nakajima Ki-44 Tojo by Geo

    SF2 WW2 PTO/CBI Nakajima Ki-44 Tojo by Geo

    = For SF2, Full-4/5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =

*There is a possibility that this mod will =MAY= work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs at any patch level. However, due to some/many of modifications made to fit them into the SF2 environment, not all features will be active.*

** Notex2: The aircraft herin have several different skins ... for the CBI, SoWesPac (ie: Dutch East Indies), (semi) Central Pacific (read: Phillipines), Home Islands defense. I've tried to tag them as best as I can. If running seperate CBI and general PTO mods folders, you may want to seperate them out, or move the texture listing around to fit your usage. **

This model seems to be either the Ki-44-Ib, Ic or IIB, as it carries the 4 12.7mm machine guns. I chose to call it the "Ic".
Skins within the pack are the originals from Geo's 1stGen release. They are (as bes as I can ID them):

    23 Sentai
    29 Sentai (PI)
    47 Sentai
    50 Sentai, 1 Chutai (CBI)
    85 Sentai (CBI -china mostly)

23 & 47 both carry the 'white bandage' marking that usually denote Home Islands Defense, but some units around Pelambang, NEI also carried them.

New (semi)compliant SF2 FM was cobbled together. As has become expected, the FM is NOT perfect, and needs further fine-tuning by Experts. A New SF2 style "box art" hangar screen, Geo's original 2 loading screens, converted to jpg, so you can switch to whichever one you like better. Weapons (drop tanks and bombs), guns, a pilot figure and engine sounds are included. All skins remain in their original bmp format, and decal randomization is set to TRUE (for the few number decals we have). As is usual, all lighting is 100% historically correct.
The canopy has been switched to the Standard Animation Keystroke, Shift/0.
Damage textures are new, in DDS format.

As always, fairly easy to follow, highly detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. All original readmes are included for historical purposes (when discoverable from the archives)
