About This File

This is my AH-64A Apache and AH-64D Longbow Apache for SF2. (should work in Gen 1 but is untested)

DDS skin version and Photoshop templates are also included.

Please read the readme.txt.

Glad to finally get this one out there. :heat:

Enjoy!

Dels

VERSION 1.1 CHANGES/ADDITIONS

-----------------------------

-New cockpit glass reflection texture.

-Changed AGM-114L to CGR and added Hellfire rails to the 3d

model to overcome the issue of engaging moving targets.

(Thanks to WhiteBoySamurai for this idea and thanks to

FastCargo for letting me use the 3d model of his Hellfire rail)

-Changed loadout types so the AH-64A cannot be loaded with the

AGM-114L Longbow Hellfire.

-Changed the Specular and Glossiness levels to make the skin

look more matt.

-New hangar and loading screens.

-Some FM and performance tweaks. (Thanks to EricJ for some

suggestions)

-Completely new M261 model made by me. I have also made the M260

rocket pod, Hydra rocket with a M229 warhead and Hydra APKWS with

a M151 warhead.

Alright.. i have already tested it in WoE and it is working normal.. just save the "data.ini" file with ansi coding from the notepad because sf1 generation do no read from unicode type "data.ini"s..

Out-freaking-standing! Brilliant! Ease of use to install without the need of third party choppers and a blast to fly. Thank you!!!

Good Work Dels! I tried it in SF1 WoI, after change all the .ini files to ANSI format it able to works. Just the Hanger and Loading screen background images did not show up. I did add the APKWS version of the rockets into the weapon folder, but the APKWS weapon did not show up for selection in the loadout screen, why this happen? Other weapons have no problem.

Looks and flies great however for some reason it freezes my whole game if I fly it too long. I'm running SF2 NA with all expansions and previous versions and latest update so....

Hi Dels,

I'm new here, just installed SF2 + E, I, and V, also your Apache along with a few other extra aircraft.  Everything's working fine except the Apache wont acknowledge gravity.  Unless I specifically use the collective or fly into the ground, even with the main rotor stalled and at 0 airspeed, the helo will remain airborne indefinitely.  Also, when flying into the ground (rotor stalled, engine off), provided I have some forward momentum, I can take-off again.  The Apache seems to generate a generous amount of lift.

Can you, or anyone else reading, tell me how to fix this?  Is this due to an install error, using 'easy' simulation levels, or the FM?

Thanks for any help...
