This package contains a complete rebuild of Nigel Dickenson's (ndiki) Spitfire XVIe packge. It is now seperated into 6 seperate skins, the decal inis have been rewritten, all NEW inis (loadouts have been adjusted to take advantage of the WW2 bombs), and MANY other subtle changes. The AvHistory Merliln engine sound has been addded. All weapons, pilot figure, and a new Hangar screen are included. The canopy opens with the Standard Animation Keystroke , Shift/0
If you have the original Mk.XVIe pak, you are advised to delete BOTH it's aircraft folder AND the Decals folder. This mod WILL replace it total. Everything works now; no more glitchy decals on the fuselage.
The _2 skin map has been replaced with a new one, with the Sky Band painted on. The serial numbers use the stock 3rdWire Spit9 serials (which is why I say not as subtle or as historically correct -serial number wise-, as Nigel's were run down by squadron).
So, what you have now are 6 RAF squadrons, and each is labeled for their service, as several are Allies (Free ***) or RCAF squadron serving in the RAF. In game, you'll see the squadron name, service (if NOT RAF), and the Squadron Code letters. Thusly:
No.322 Squadron (Dutch) (3W)
340 Squadron GC IV/2 (FFAF) (GW)
441 Squadron "Silver Fox" (RCAF) (9G)
443 Squadron "City of Westminster" (RCAF) (2I)
When possible, the Squadron Patch is used for the paint chip on the Loadout Screen
Decal randomization is set to TURE.
