About This File

Mirage F1CK2

This mod is dedicated to BPAO, nothing would have been possible without him.

In 1974 the Mirage F1 was selected as the new air defence fighter and a total of 27 Mirage F1CK, 9 Mirage F1CK2 and 7 Mirage F1BK were ordered and delivered in two separate batches until 1983.

Specificities :

  • Radar Cyrano IVM.
  • RWR.

A big thank to all on Combatace and C6 forums that helped us solving issues we encountered.
Any omission in credits is totally unwanted, if I forgot somebody, let me know, I will correct this.

This addon is and will in all cases remain freeware.

Released under CombatAce Fair-Use terms.

Enjoy

 ludo.m54 don´t forget Iraqui Mirage F-1E Pack:

Single-seat all-weather multi-role fighter and ground-attack aircraft.

Mirage F1EQ : Export version of the Mirage F1E for Iraq. 16 built.
Mirage F1EQ-2 : Single-seat air defence fighter version for Iraq. 16 built.
Mirage F1EQ-4 : Single-seat multi-role fighter, ground-attack, reconnaissance version for Iraq. 28 built.
Mirage F1EQ-5 : Single-seat anti-shipping version for Iraq. 20 built.
Mirage F1EQ-6 : Single-seat anti-shipping version for Iraq. 30 built.

Well, there are 2 schemes:

1) the land scheme - used by most IrAF F-1EQ - sand & khaki green (not brown!) over light grey undesides

2) the maritime scheme applied on the EQ5 & EQ6 used for maritime strike missions with AM-39 Exocet missile - dark slate grey over white

(Have a look on page 7 and page 16 of "old IrAF" tread you mentionned above)

"Cool loads" could be:

- maritime strike: 1 x AM-39 ,two fuel tanks, 2 x ECM pods and 2 x Matra 550 AAMs on wingtips (this was the "full operational load for maritime strike for the grey camouflaged birds)

- air superiority: 1 x fuel tank, 2 x Matra 530 & 2 x 550 AAMs

- long range bombing: 1 x big "Iraqi" fuel tank (can be found in Heller F-1CT boxing) and 2 x US Mk-84 bombs ( as used to attack the Bushehr nuclear reactor )

- wild weasel: 1 x "BAZAR" anti radar missile, 2 x fuel tanks and 2 x Matra 550 AAMS

- precison attack with 2 x AS-30L or 2 x LGBs and 1 x ATLIS guidance pod, as well as 2 x Matra 550 AAMs

There were also some F-1EQs wearing kill markings, "4014" having 14 kill markings applied (actually 2 kill were obtained on this a/c)

All EQs had an "enlarged" dorsal fin, as correctly illustrated on the ESCI boxing.

Depending from the version ( F-1EQ,EQ2,BQ3,EQ4,EQ5,EQ6 were upplied) there will be also differences between the fin tip antennae (late EQ5 & EQ6) and some other details.

Please don't hesitate to ask if you would need any help with this project.

We are working on a decal sheet for IrAF (including 4014)and IRIAF Mirage F-1EQs in all these schemes, but the sheet will be released in late 2012/early 2013, as there are some other projects going simultaneously.

Thanks once more Ludo for presenting us with such great Mirages Mods in general. :ok: It's very much appreciated :good:I've been and still am a Mirage III lover since the early 70th's. Of course, i also love the Mirage F-1   The Mirage IIIC is one of those jets that looks like it’s going Mach 2 even when it’s parked. :pilotfly:

The picture shows Elie Buge in a Mirage III CZ
Elie Buge decided to join the French Air Force. In the spring of 1941, he set off for Châteauroux, which was then in the Free Zone, where he stayed for several months before embarking on a series of experiences abroad. He spent time in French-speaking North Africa (Morocco and Algeria) and then in the USA in 1943, where he obtained his fighter pilot’s license. From there, Elie Buge went to England, where he was assigned to the 145th Wing of the Royal Air Force. At the end of World War II, he transferred from his squadron based in Germany to the second fighter squadron in Dijon.
