Question about adding RWR to F-100 Hun

Recommended Posts

Hello everybody. I have been trying to add a RWR scope in place of the clock in the F-100 cockpit but so far no luck. Could anyone help me out a bit? What lines do I need to add in the ini files? I tried following the instructions on the "RWR screen on A-6?" message tread but it did not work. Thanks!

They never had a display, but you can add an audo=only one super easy.

note: if cetrain files are not to be found in the usual places, they'll need to be extracted from the objects.cat

1) copy/paste the rwr bmp from the F-4E (F-4E.RWR.bmp) into the Hun's /cockpit folder.

2) add these lines to the F-100D.ini:

AvionicsDLL=Avionics60.dll

AvionicsDataFilename=F-100D_AVIONICS.INI

3) copy the information below to a blank 'notepad':

[TextureData]

RWRTexture=cockpit\f-4e_rwr.bmp

[RWR]

Type=3_RING

AirSearchTexture=RWRair1.tga

AirTrackTexture=RWRair2.tga

AirLockTexture=RWRair2.tga

GroundSearchTexture=RWRground1.tga

GroundTrackTexture=RWRground2.tga

GroundLockTexture=RWRground2.tga

SearchPosition=0.90

TrackPosition=0.55

LockPosition=0.15

SearchSize=0.075

TrackSize=0.075

LockSize=0.075

SearchFlash=FALSE

TrackFlash=TRUE

TrackFlashRate=0.2

LockFlash=TRUE

LockFlashRate=0.1

TrackSound=RWRTrackSound.wav

LockSound=RWRLockSound.wav

[RWRTrackSound]

Priority=HIGH

3DSound=FALSE

Looped=TRUE

NumBuffers=1

[RWRLockSound]

Priority=HIGH

3DSound=FALSE

Looped=TRUE

NumBuffers=1

"save as.." F-100D_AVIONICS.INI and place in the Hun's main folder with the other inis.

this will give you a working audio only rwr.

btw, this is already done on my IDF F-100D mod available here at CA and at my site.

If you wanted to break history, you'd need to find the exact node name for the clock in the cockpit.lod, and do a little editing in the Hun's cockpit ini. I would be similiar to the RWR fix for the Intruders, that's show over at C5s site.

Thanks for the reply. I am going to try it and see how it goes, and also I'll check your mod too. I know F-100Ds did not have RWRs, but later models of the F did, at least in the back seat. By putting one in the front seat with me, it will be sort of like having the backseater look at the scope and telling you which way the track is coming. Thanks!
