MI-24 - rotors stop turning but it still flies!?

The rotorblades on this chopper, released Aug 'o6, usually/always stop turning during mission (ai controlled) but continues to fly and manouvre.

 

I haven't noted how long into flight this happens.

 

It doesn't happen to whole flight at once - have noticed this once, one mi-24 still has rotors turning.

 

Could it be running out of fuel?

 

This has been happening since I dl'd this helo.

The AI really can't fly the helos in SF. Until a good FM is coded for the helos, the AI just isn't able to fly them worth a damn. Anyone got a work around?

Could it be an animation problem? I have noticed that something similar also occurs with prop planes (F-4U7).
