I plan on upgrading my computer memory from 512mb (2X256) to 1 gb and I'm wondering if I should buy DELL memory, or if the after market stuff I see at BestBuy is just as good. The DELL stuff is a bit pricier so if there really isn't much difference I'd opt for the aftermarket stuff. Anyone have any thoughts on this? I used the DELL memory tool to ID exactly what I needed and I'm going to take that to the store so I can be sure I get the right thing. Thanks again for the help. It took less than 5 minutes, and I'm AMAZED at how much faster my machine works!! Should have done this a long time ago. Thanks for the tips, they proved useful.
