Hi all happy new year..

I have been messing around with paratroopers managed to get 20 into capuns mil-8 .I also changed them from high explosives to little cluster: mixed ap/at so they now kill anything near landing zone .

Please can some one make a Russian paratrooper in gray/white camo? :please:

Sweet... I was trying to figure out something similar with the C-130... So you can deploy these guys like regular ordinance and the M-38?

Set the explosives to say 0.1 and the effect to the training bomb effect. No explosion but you will see the puff of dust.

Wasn't this in another thread already?

And jeeps are droppable. AN12 on the go after skidding in a BMP.

Have you seen the post here?

Paratroops

The problem with putting them as they would normally sit in the helo is that they will "jump" from that location.

Also most likely the Mi-8T transport would have been the better choice to carry the paras due to the weapons weight, unless you get some very undernourished paras :)

Glad to see people having fun with the toys

When they land nothing happens unless there near to a target .I made them into very small cluster bombs so any target within say 25 meters gets attacked...

A question... how do you get the shute to show for longer?

Wouldn't be any different than creating a new pilot skin or drop tank skin or a road sign or whatever...simple hex edit of the lod to take the new bmp -- keeping the same amount of digits, of course, as the original. Simple rename the edited lod to whatever, edit the ini for the lod, an off ya go.

Ok Zur.

You owe me a wooden nickel. I'll take it in blue :)

This is what you have to do:

1- Get the paratroopers from the C-47A package. You may want to bump up the base number to 30 instead of 12 or manually check to be sure that they are loaded

2- Add this to your loadout.ini

[Recon]

Loadout[01].WeaponType=Paratrooper

Loadout[01].Quantity=24

[Armed_Recon]

Loadout[01].WeaponType=Paratrooper

Loadout[01].Quantity=24

3- Make the following mods to your Data ini

[CargoBay]

SystemType=WEAPON_STATION

StationID=1

StationGroupID=1

StationType=INTERNAL

AttachmentPosition=0.0,-3.20,-0.20

AttachmentAngles=180.0,0.0,0.0 // To have the paras face backwards

EjectVelocity=0.0,-4.0,-0.20 // Just enough to clear the ramp

LoadLimit=40000

DiameterLimit=20.0

AllowedWeaponClass=BOMB,EOGB

AttachmentType=NATO,USMC,USAF,USN

NumWeapons=24 // 24 paratroopers

AttachmentPosition001=-0.0,-3.20,-0.20 // You may want to tweak this numbers, right now they are just near the rear edge of the Osprey

AttachmentPosition002=0.0,-3.20,-0.20

AttachmentPosition003=-0.0,-3.20,-0.20

AttachmentPosition004=0.0,-3.20,-0.20

AttachmentPosition005=-0.0,-3.20,-0.20

AttachmentPosition006=0.0,-3.20,-0.20

AttachmentPosition007=-0.0,-3.20,-0.20

AttachmentPosition008=0.0,-3.20,-0.20

AttachmentPosition009=-0.0,-3.20,-0.20

AttachmentPosition010=0.0,-3.20,-0.20

AttachmentPosition011=-0.0,-3.20,-0.20

AttachmentPosition012=0.0,-3.20,-0.20

AttachmentPosition013=-0.0,-3.20,-0.20

AttachmentPosition014=0.0,-3.20,-0.20

AttachmentPosition015=-0.0,-3.20,-0.20

AttachmentPosition016=0.0,-3.20,-0.20

AttachmentPosition017=-0.0,-3.20,-0.20

AttachmentPosition018=0.0,-3.20,-0.20

AttachmentPosition019=-0.0,-3.20,-0.20

AttachmentPosition020=0.0,-3.20,-0.20

AttachmentPosition021=-0.0,-3.20,-0.20

AttachmentPosition022=0.0,-3.20,-0.20

AttachmentPosition023=-0.0,-3.20,-0.20

AttachmentPosition024=0.0,-3.20,-0.20

BombBayAnimationID=3

BombBayOpenTime=4.0

BombBayCloseTime=4.0

I'll post some pictures after I convert them to JPG and upload them.

Looking good to have gotten it this far. Wonder if this can be tied to the ejection sequence?

Your troop needs to have his feet and knees together. The blackhats would put him down for 50 with that form.

You did:

1) create new skin

2) name new skin

3) hex edit lod to take new skin

4) rename lod to new para's name?

5) create ini for new paras? (with new, unique name?)

6) added to weapons data ini with new name?

Just like a new pilot; it should work!! :ok:

btw, that screenie is absolutely badassssss!!!
