Any way to fly RED in dynamic campaign?

Recommended Posts

Now that I'm able to fly the Mig 21s in many variants with the superbly done cockpit model and textures, is there a way to fly the Migs in campaign?

I'm getting sick to fly in single mission.

Furthermore when I choose to start from the base in single mission, I would run out of fuel before reaching the objective with the short legged Mig-12 F13. I guess even the single mission was designed with the longer legged US aircrafts in mind.

Any suggestion?

Currently patched to P3.

I just found out this game. I'm surprised that I'm enjoying it so much.

Well I've read the instruction on how to add custom campaign but the required site linking the required .cat extractor seems to be dead

My intention is only to play as the RED Mig-21F13, Mig-21PFV, Mig-21PFM and Mig-21MF against the BLUE US aircrafts. I't s a pity if we can't use these fabulously made aircraft's cockpits in campaign.

Anyone has done this? Or anyone willing to share the required .cat file extractor or the extracted file itself?

Thanks

We have download section here at CombatAce: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autom...s&showcat=2

And there are many thigs you need to fly Migs.

Cat extractor too: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autom...mp;showfile=343

In section Missions/Campaigns are some good and ineteresting things for you too.

For Wings over Vietnam:

Charles Aces (five parts) ----- http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autom...&showcat=29

Vietnam 1984 ---- http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autom...p;showfile=5289

North Vietnam Red Sky ----- http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autom...mp;showfile=825

North Vietnam Soviet Aces ----- http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autom...mp;showfile=822

North Vietnam Mig Aces ------ http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autom...mp;showfile=811

Or another very interesting campaigns for Migs or Sus (no just for WOV):

Middle East Wars campaign pack ----- http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autom...p;showfile=3095

Middle East Wars v1.1 update ------ http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autom...p;showfile=4149

Operation Tainted Cigar Version 2.0 (part 1) ------ http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autom...p;showfile=3873

Operation Tainted Cigar Version 2.0 (part 2) ------- http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autom...p;showfile=3874

Well, just try search in download section. You can add another new Mig squadrons to every campaign you want. Just follow steps from Knowledge base.

You wrote this in your older topic about weapons pack: "I'm on dial-up so I hesitate to download the 43Mb patch".

Well I have limited download - 1GB per mounth (weekends are free). So if I can not download very big files (operation Tained Cigar is large project, circa 350mb), I ask my friends with unlimited download or faster conection to download needed files. Or I download big files in my school library with fast connection or you can try internet cafes or something like that. There is no way to stop us :haha:

Anytime colleague

In our little Czech and Slovak community, we are starting work on Czechoslovak campaign. But it will be designate for WOE.

We had many Mig versions in Czechoslovakia: Mig-15/15bis/15SB/15BisSB, Mig-17F/PF, Mig-19S/P/PM. And Mig-21 too of course: F-13/PF/PFM/R/MA/MF (but no Bis. They served at our neighbours - Polland for example). Plus Mig-23BN/MF/ML and the best Mig fighter in our army - Mig-29A.

And plus training versions. But the same situation was in every Warsav pact state.

The best time ever at the European airshow circuit was in the years just after the fall of the Berlin Wall, when the former enemies started visiting their former adversaries.

All of a sudden we saw Fishbeds, Floggers, Fulcrums, Fitters, Frogfoot's and a few Flankers, Bears, Backfires, Hinds and whatever you could dream of, being flown with bravado at our airshows. It was fantastic !!!

Beside that, it was absolutely fabulous (at the crowdline or the flightline) to be able to talk and have a beer with pilots & groundcrew from behind the former Iron Curtain, be it in English or German, and to find out they were human too... (we always suspected that, but it was wonderfull to find out it was actually true.....)

It certainly felt like making new friends !!!! Those were happy days......

Aju,

Derk :good:
