Is there any reason for the black gear area? Or is it so the average person would be able to tell the differance.

We used to call them "tits."

 

You know, more useless than tits on a Warthog?

 

Guess you had to be there. :blink:

 

On the left side is the fuel access, and where we used to stow all the pins for munitions at the End of Runway (EOR) checks.

 

I believe the new black tit is a no-paint item, so is some form of sensor, not unlike the no-paint areas on radar domes.

 

Just a SWAG on my part, however...

Thanks! nice to know this.... :good: maybe A-10C aren't funcional in the game, but it's nice to see a new bird flying!

I think so, too. I have a pic of an A-10A where its right gear pod tip is black.
