Rambler 1-1 9 Posted March 5, 2008 prowler replaced by growler? Those NAVY guys aren't very original, are they? I'm part amazed, part horrified at the way the WHOLE NAVY air arm is becoming hornets. I suppose it shows the basic versatillity of the design. Even though I have my personal opinion about the SH, it does make sense to keep it to one aircraft. 1. You don't have to have 4000 parts for 4 different air frames. One stop shop. 2. A greater pool of crew chiefs, avionics and other technicians on hand. and that is just a start.
