Hi!, New to SF 1

I was curious are if were to start downloading soviet aircraft to fly, would the game recongnise this and have me hunting F-4s or would I be in a Mig hunt A Mig?

 

P.S just got the game today so still kinda new to the in-and-outs of it all.

Welcome, you have different "sides" so you will be chased down by a F-4.. be sure!

If you fly migs it will put you up against Allied fighters. No problem there. Have fun.

You can change this at any time though, if you'd prefer some Mig on Mig action. That reminds me, I've got to add some enemy F-4s!

Not sure how I would go about changing it, but all in do time im sure, but on a more serious topic can One of you kind Aces post any "how to fly well" guides? lol I start my missions on 0-throttle but i swear once i raise it to 1% my plane get some kind of drag going and i cant pull up.

 

Really dig the game though im so newb.

Which game have you got? Wings over Vietnam/Wings over Europe/Wings over Israel/Strike fighters project 1 (according to topic title I suppose that you have SFP1).

 

All these games, except WOI, needs to be patched (but if you download it from Thirdwire online store, it is already patched to the same standard - except WOI. WOI is newest and other games will be patchet to its standars later)

Im playing Strikefighters 1, found ,installed it patches on the website.

I just started to become a Thirdwire Product supporter a few days agao.  I bought all three Strike Fighter Project 1, Wings Over Vietnam and Wings Over Europe.  Very cool!  Excellent graphics.  I also bought IL-2 Sturmovik 1946.  Looks like graphics SFP1, WoV and WoE are better as far as 3D plane models go.

 

If you ride in a MiG, you can tell from the panel instruments that is a MiG. You will be up against Western fighters if you play the QUICK MISSION.

 

There are lots of addons aircrafts too. I really love this simulation now.  Enjoy!
