Some WOI improvements I like ...

There are two improvements in WOI that I like very much and who seem to go quite unnoticed:

 

1) Track-IR support. At least on my machine, TIR works excellent in WOI, whereas in WOE it is still problematic and jerky.

 

2) CCIP bombing, in particular with F-15A

 

I know that European theatre F-15A wasn't even supposed to perform strikes, but it can in WOE. However, the precision of the pipper is inaccurate. Quite to the contrary, in WOI CCIP bombing is razor sharp and a real delight, with eg; the Kfir and F-15A Baz.

 

I hope these marked improvements are no coincidence and that we will find them in a WOE/WOV patch!

yep, CCIP is dead on with Mk8x series bombs, but try it with Soviet FAB stuff.... uh hu...

eh.. forget about that... its just the Su-27SK with avionics update.... the CCIP on it is set up somewhat differently :ph34r:

I think the fact that I can now see the briefing map, zoomed in, and after moving waypoints, on my 8800GTS, is my favorite SP1 addition.

 

I do have a few more written down here somewhere, but USAFMTL-STBUSAFR seems to have misplaced it...

I think the towns & cities look more natural & organic from the air.

 

Airfield defenses are harder to penetrate at low altitude.

What angle do you regularly dive in at? I just tried a shadow glide dive. Bombs were waaay short.

I like the over all toughness of the AI. I have yet to complete a campaing without being blown out of the sky while on a SEAD or Strike mission. A2A is not too tough as long as I fly smart.
