Ive been working on this campaign in the Middeast and Ive been having this strange experience; my squadron on F-15s will be deployed simultaneously in the same mission, only there will be nothing in the planning map or even the Roster to reflect the same.

Its like a ghost flight.

This is my campaign entry

Any ideas as to why this might be happenning?

Oh yeah this starts only in the 3rd or 4th mission of the campaign.

Is your squadron defined as a flyable in your campaign .ini file (as opposed to the campaign_data.ini)?

Also, I see you have a "UnitName=" flag rather than a "Squadron=" flag in the entry you posted. I'm not sure if it makes a difference, but as I understood it, Squadron= defines the flyable units, and must match an entry in your squadronlist.ini.

UnitName= is for non-flyable units.

Just a suggestion.

Cheers,

Baltika

Aha

You also have no MissionRate= value defined, so I guess that means the game is having trouble assigning missions to your flight.

Add the entry MissionRate=1.0 in the entry you posted and see if that helps.

gee thanks, just went into a stock campaign and i see your point.

Any clue what forcewithininitiative means?

I read Bunyaps tutorial and it says it decides the settings that follow after but that explanation is rather loose.

Heres another one-Does Missionrate govern ground objects as well?

My take on: ForcewithInitiative=?

The side of the conflict which initiates the offensive action. 1 means that the friendly forces initiate the action. 2 means that the enemy side initiates the offensive. 0 means that neither side initiate action until the supply number is high enough to sustain a ground operation.

At least in my campaigns, that seems to be the way it works. If you increase the the supply numbers the ground operation seems to start sooner.

If you notice,as you fly progressive missions, you get more supplies(missiles, bombs, etc)in the loadout screen for a mission.

In the Israel campaigns, they had a limited amount of supplies,so you have to be careful about how much you ordinance you expend.

It all depends on the number of supply when you start and how often you are resupplied.

As for your squadron being used simultaneously in the same mission.

I think the game engine looks for X amount of squadrons for each mission. If there are not enough (X) squadrons for that mission it repeats with the squadrons that are active at the time. Try making more squadrons active and see what happens. I research(online) each campaign that I fly and try to get as many squadrons as was really involved as I can.

TK made one heck of a game engine to involve all of this.

Thank you Gents.

Ok one more, my tanks in one specific area- Jerusalem(Israel2) dissapear after the first mission, regardless of offensive or defensive.
