oka, i was messing around with TE with a terrain from Rio de Janeiro......

but the water don't want appear :(

 

where is the water?

Try adjusting sea level.. I'm starting to learn TE, so I can't help any more :dntknw:

btw, to put trees and buildings, you're using that function in TE, right?

btw, there is a way to save the progress in TE?

i closed mine .but when i opened again it wasnt the same as i let :(

Save All :biggrin: (becareful the city list and texture list is not saved with this!) So if you change anything in there save them exculisively.

And backup the tfd,hfd files quite often, TE doesnt have undo.

 

For the water thing, did you autotexture and it didnt tile any sea textures? which texturelist are you using, it should have some textures defined as water.

I dont think the sea level does anything, not sure.

I was having that problem with my black sea terrain. Then it just magically worked. Now my water and coastlines show up, but the land portion of the tile shows up as pure white.

Ugh to explain all this to a begginer would take A LOT of time, patience and a clear mind, and I'm really too wasted now :D

You could try Gepards Terrain making guide in the knowledge base, it really explains it all very well
