Here is a thread for inskyes creations.... the chinese people are doing a nice job. When you remember how they start, J-7 and J-8 modells of poor quality and something half backed. But the last one was great, MiG-31BM so what`s next??

:dntknw:

Drugs are bad, mmmkay???? Put down that crak pipe, and back away slowly, and no one gets hurt.... :wink:

Now, I WILL admit it's far advanced from their earlier releases. But it still needs a LOT of help.

Uploading in a few minutes, the "Field Fixes Kit".

For me it`S ok, if it`s only ini editing.. if those modells are well modelled in a high poly matter, and some nice animations.. I can life with a comunity supported ini upgrade ;-)

Me too. INI are always to be fixed. We cannot ficx the models... More polys the better

:good: Insky J-8 is one of the best 3D models around here now because its a different kind of plane than we are used to seeing, and most important, I mutate J-8 into a fair molding of MiG Ye-152A and M. But that's just me. Anyways, at Mach 2 speeds and BVR ranges, I try real hard but I don't see many polygons... er ...on any 3D external model that is. Edited by Lexx_Luthor

On the other hand, for my Stargetic Cockpit panel methods, I prefer high polygons in the external model's cockpit area, but anything else can be low poly. Below is the view from the rear seats inside of Pasko's MiG-15UTI and Pappy's TA-4 external models. Both shows nice basic 3D structure. J-8 won't allow this, but MiG-31BM I think can.

What is sad is that Veltro's WIP models seemed to show good cockpit interior framing that I could use stargetically.

Seeing that a lot of folks are having 'issues' with their Foxhound, perhaps Veltro will finish his off.

I really, really REEAALLY hope he does. To at least give an alternative model.

I can only second that!!! I got no problems with this one, but i just liked what Veltro did at all and hope he doesn´t grabbed his jacket and left forever.

they do; the j-10 in particular is great.

as for the j-7 series, those that are published here on CA need some finishing for the .ini; nothing really major. the j-7g with the double delta model is great. Insky guysre great althuhg they should work on presenting their oroducts; on the other hand all this stuff is free, so as user you have, like in every mod, a certain tweaking responsability; (whixh starts by reading the readme!) Still IMHO , a bad or unfinished mod is better than NO mod!

As far as I know,they are not WIP

By the way,I'v saw a Su-32/34 Mod,but no time to complete.

And,I also seen a uncomplete 3D model of Su-47's cockpit, maybe that is useful for Su-35/37

If anyone is interested, here is my stab at revised lighting:

Chinese J-8 Finback Lighting

Change the following:

[Fuselage]

remove:

SystemName[008]=NoseGearLight

add:

SystemName[008]=TopRotatingBeacon

SystemName[009]=BottomRotatingBeacon

[LeftWing]

add:

SystemName[005]=GearLightLeft

[RightWing]

add:

SystemName[005]=GearLightRight

renumber the SystemName numbers sequentially

replace the entire lighting section with the following:

// Lights ---------------------------------------------------------

//Position=[Left+/Right- of centerline], [Fwd+/Aft- of center], [Above+/Below- of center]

Jug: don't forget to add the line:

FlashTime=

to those splasher/rotater beacons!

a time tick of 0.4 to 0.6 is pretty good (0.6 seems to be standard on the stock birds)

Wrench,

Thanks for the tip. Rotating beacons seem to be left out of some lighting schemes, are required by ICAO agreement. All aircraft should have navigation lights, position lights, and top/bottom rotating beacons. Landing lights are actually required too. Since it is the one thing I can do, be glad to help out any of the real modders with what can be a time-consuming detail.
