Hello hello everyone

yet again another fine mess i've gotten myself into

this one is on bitmaps.

now i've tried my microsoft paint to resized and convert

an image into a bitmap.

what i'm trying to do is make custom hanger and loading screens.

and also making pilots bitmaps.

i can convert them but i can't resize them.

is thier possibly a better way to do this?

Gimp is a fully-featured image editor. It gives you a lot more options than paint. And its free.

The Irfanview-programme suggested by Gocad is a very handy image viewer that can handle most image formats. If converting images and resizing them is what you'd like to do Irfanview is for you (get it anyway, you'll love it). Free for personal use. www.irfanview.com

If you want to do more than just resizing and converting get the Gimp, too.

Also, Paint.net seems to be a decent program...has a lot of features that Gimp has...

Of course on the expensive end Photoshop CS3 was $639 and some change. JASC's Paint Shop Pro is cheaper, roughly around $100 or so. Of if you want a stripped down Photoshop, then Adobe Photoshop Elements is just as handy too and alot cheaper than CS3.
