The Iron Cross has been around long long long before Nazi Germany was even a thought. The swastika I can see provoking feelings like that. However its just plain ignorance of history if you equate the Iron Cross to Nazi Germany. The 2 are not related in the least bit.

In fact, the Iron Cross was never a roundel in Nazi-Germany, it was a medal of honor through all military branches.

The roundel of that time looked like this:

In german it is called "balk cross".

Ireland

Hey, C5; do you know if that can be uploaded to the CA site? I know that the Irish Air Corps are more like a flying club compared to other European air forces, so it'd be nice to Dream while putting those markings on an A-4K or something  . I've tried to make one myself but I'm useless at sreating skins and roundels.

Ultra: there's a HUGE psd over at simmerpaintshop thats (literly!) got hundreds of world nations insignia.

It's by RAF_LOKE, and I think it's called "markings_v1.4" it's about 25 megs, and WELL worth the download. Covers WW1 and 2, plus some modern markings. Some are fictional, like CSA (american confederate states, tintin, etc)

Cheers for the tip, bud. Will certainly be checking it out. Another great example of comradely support on this site. :good:

Not only the best looking insignia also each single plane had had a unique camo sceme.
