Break up of United States?

Recommended Posts

I am watching a certain CNN "opinion" show and learned that a russian economist is saying that the U.S. is going to splinter into six different factions in the near future. This is due to a collapse of the dollar and unrest that is readily visible in the US.

I hope this is not the case, but since this group is very worldly, i figured i'd ask the opinion of it. So what do you think???

Did this guy even bother to check the dollar's current exchange rate against other currencies before making such an asinine statement?

Well, CNN is like any other media source, in that they suffer from the "it's been said, or it's an opinion, so it must be true" syndrome, so I take it with a grain of salt.

People outside the United States, in particular, people who hail from countries consisting of many "ethnic republics", do not have a real grasp as to how united we really are. An example of this, was Charles Rangel's reply to Hugo Chavez's statements regarding President Bush. Charles Rangel is pretty much on the opposite end of the political spectrum from Bush, yet, his response to Chavez was:

"I want to express my extreme displeasure with statements by the President of Venezuela attacking U.S. President George Bush in such a personal and disparaging way during his remarks at the United Nations General Assembly.

It should be clear to all heads of government that criticism of Bush Administration policies, either domestic or foreign, does not entitle them to attack the President personally.

George Bush is the President of the United States and represents the entire country. Any demeaning public attack against him is viewed by Republicans and Democrats, and all Americans, as an attack on all of us."

right, that is an awesome quote. I may have voted for McCain, but Obama is going to be the new pres. I'm going to support him like I would have McCain, not because of a change in my opinion, but because I am an American, and he is my president. I may have served in the Army under the bush administration, but I will fight for my country reguardless of who is at the helm.

I really love that quote, thank you for eduacating me :)

The Amero is part of the proposed North American Union, it is a merging of the monitary systems of the United states, Mexico and Canada. It is a raw deal for all three nations, it will destroy

the middle class. This is not some B.S. theory, the North American Union serious attack on the principals of national sovergnty, funded by multinational corperations/banking intrests. Globalists

within the U.S. government have created propaganda website to combat those who are exposing their adjenda on the web and in the media.

Educate yourself about this now because if you thought Nafta and Gatt were bad this is much much worse.

Other than those crazy Texans...the US is still solid. :good:

We've never listened to any Russians...and especially not to some Communist News Network (CNN) reporter to decide what's right or even true.

Wow, thanks for the link, I had hear about it but didn't really know the details. Thanks for the education. I lived in Houston for a while (mom lives there), and I was SHOCKED! I am a natural born american citizen and I couldn't find employment because I didn't speak spanish. With the exception of some day-labor type stuff, not speaking spanish killed me. I might be a little backward being from the islands in Maine, but it seems crazy to me that an American citizen can't get a job because he can't speak a language that is NOT the standard language in his country. Maybe i'm crazy, but I don't think so.

Why six? is it a cabalistic number?

Anyway...i think he had some inspiration in Jericho(a TV serie) and that bogus....John Titor...

USA is very solid in political area, many presidents die, were shooted, community voices were shuted and the country wasn't fall in a Civil war.

in other regions of the world(including Europe) those facts mention upon would probably be sufficient destroy a country and fall it in a civil war.

It may be for domestic consumption, the guy is an information warfare dude so...

Good discussion on this at Market Ticker forum ~> http://www.tickerforum.org/cgi-ticker/akcs-www?post=72857

More interesting is Dmitry Orlov and the Collapse Gap. If you can get past the first few pages, it provides some interesting comparisons to Soviet collapse and possible similarities and differences in a possible Ussian collapse.

Gets some stuff wrong I think, but nails some others to the wall...the lack of private property ownership in Ussia for example...

Orlov::

In the United States, very few people own their place of residence free and clear, and even they need an income to pay real estate taxes.

I liked his comment on Alaska just being a lease.

I'd like to see them try to collect back rent!

:haha:

Indeed not. He saw it happen.

Some of the details I quibble with, but Orlov's basic idea is that the Soviet people had always suffered a chronic century long economic collapse well before "soviet" political collapse, so it was like nothing new under the Siberian Sun.

LOL, I own this game and that is why I found the number of entities and their locations so familiar. It's like he pulled it from the game manual.

Some of the best are Russians, Kondratiev for example. Of course he was exiled and died in the gulag for his discoveries that didn't follow Party doctrine.
