Veltro,

Fubar512 is working hard on the Bone FM...I've already flown it a few times. I suspect that will start as a good baseline.

FC

that would be great..right now using a modified B-52 FM..this plane is Big

Since the Bone is of the subsonic B variety, it probably won't have much in common with Tu-160 considering the latter is far heavier and much more in line with the supersonic B-1A as far as performance and mission profile goes, which anyone can tell from looking at the variable geometry intakes which the Bone does not have.

If I were Veltro, I'd probably ask Lindr2 or the other russian guys for assistance.

Furthermore, given the blended wing/body shape of the plane, you can experiment with unwrapping the entire plane onto a single map (I use 2048^2 for Pak-FA and neo-AFX).

If you need help just hit me up on ICQ or MSN.

Well that data can be easily adjusted. Considering Fubar512's FM expertise over the years, I would still use him as he has a FIRM grasp on how it works in the 3rd Wire series.

If Fubar512 and Lind2r get together on this all i can say is :notworthy:

The B-1B's flight performance isn't limited because of aerodynamics or engine power. Any limitations are due to other factors and are artificial in nature...having nothing to do with the aerodynamic speed capabilities of the airframe/engine combination.

Not that I would know about that or anything...sheesh.

add this like to each of the engines, somewhere in the callout destcriptin

AfterburnerEffectSize=1.10

(this is off a Phantom, so it's probably too small...adjust accordingly)

Length would be adjusted in the "Effect" it's using. I'd say, make a custom Effect off the one it's using now and adjust it 's length there.

[EmitterType001]

Name=AfterburnerEmitter

EmissionType=ORIENTED_EMITTER

UpdateType=NON_MOVING

MaxVisibleDistance=8000.000000

EmissionRate=0.000800

EmissionVolume=0.010000,0.010000,0.010000

EmissionVelocityTableType=CONSTANT

EmissionVelocity=0.000000,-120.000000,0.000000 <<<<< Double it to something like -240 in the Y axis to start.

HasLightSource=TRUE

Talk about coincidence I am in the process of reading ' Tupolev TU-160 Blackjack: The Russian Answer to the B-1 by Yefim Gordon so I can hardly wait to fly this particular bird, it will be interesting to see which aircraft materialise in our skies first the B-1 or the TU-160.

Location of the "Effect" (Where it's placed) is controlled be the Aircraft's Data.INI....(Engine Section)

EmissionVolume: Actual Size in X,Y,Z

EmissionVelocity: Length it expands or emitts in X,Y,Z

BTW, You got to give Deuces credit for giving Me a crash Course years ago.......

Awesome...So now mother russia's red air has their answers to the B-52 and B-1. I do believe that will top off the list...fighters, bombers, recon, etc...were on a level playing field. :biggrin:

Keep up the good work!
