Oct patch issue with MF F-16A block 15 ADF

Hey there guys, i just noticed an issue with this awesome jet while watching one of my user made missions play out. It seems that the F-16A block 15 (When controlled by the AI) has some kind of problem firing its sparrow missiles.When this jet is selected with the new patch it is as if the AI does not know the missiles are there. It works just fine with the 8/06 patch and all of the data is stock, I can't seem to figure this out. Am I overlooking something here?

 

I checked the things to update thread and saw that there are new BMP. display screens for the mirage factory F-16's but the link does not work... any chance of getting it relinked?

But the F16A's don't carry sparrows in the first place. Am I wrong to say this?

Sure they did. They were introduced in the late 1970's. The AMRAAM didn't come around till 1991. They had to carry something.

The ADF was one of a few types to carry sparrows, IIRC a few National Guard Vipers were also setup to use Aim-7s.

 

I have also seen some other addon aircraft in game that refuse to fire the sparrows and will use heaters or even guns while they still have AIM-7s on the wings, i suspect it might be related to pilot skill level because sometimes these same planes will use them.

 

I hope we can find a fix for this, anyone have any ideas? :dntknw:

I met this "don't like fire AHM/SAHM missile" problem in my personal upgrated F-16C

 

Just open date.ini

 

RadarName=AN/APG-66

RadarType=AIR_INTERCEPT

RadarAzimuthLimit=60

RadarElevationLimit=60

RadarSearchTime=1.0

RadarSearchRange=80

RadarSearchStrength=70

RadarTrackTime=4.0

RadarTrackRange=40

RadarTrackStrength=60

VisualBlindArc=

VisualRestrictedArc=6

MaxVisibleDistance=6600.0

DopplerLookdown=TRUE

HasRWR=TRUE

 

And a line of

 

RangeUnit=NM

 

Then,try it. They will work fine!

This way is also can be used in Dave's F-16 B30--F-16 B60

That fixed it :clapping: . One single line - RangeUnit=NM fixes this new patch problem.

TMF Vipers need to be updated with the latest patch refinements, they are in the loop but are behind other projects. Good find Erwin!
