Was it collisions or breaking up wings?

Recommended Posts

This is a question to Winder.

My pilot with Jasta 15, in April 1918, ended up the last 3 or 4 flights with something,

which I thought were mid air collisions.

But, as he was diving after a SPAD each time, I'm beginning to wonder, if the lower

wing of my Albatros D Va might just have broken? Would it look like a midair collision

for me? Would there be no warning, that the wing vibrates too much?

Yes :)

Diving as fast as a SPAD not a great idea in the Alb.

The Albatros was renowned for shedding lower wing in a dive...

I knew that, off course. Only thought, there would be some warning then?

Cause I can't "feel" the plane.

Well if you have not turned off warnings and messages you would see the damage to wings, or G stress warnings (creak noises too).

No, Parky. I got a HOTAS Cougar, but then I'd have to fly with rudders, which I have

tried out, but found almost impossible so far (perhaps need adjustment?)

So, I returned to my THRUSTMASTER T.FLIGHT for now. I don't want to try something

NEW all the time; I'd like to ARRIVE somewere, and get to grips with fighting planes.

Pol, you must be right - I may have switched the warnings off accidently in CFS3 config.

Thanks.
