Hey Guys...For whatever reason, i have been unable to add waepons to the game. Everytime I try to open the waepons editor...Nothing happens. I just can't figure it out. Any advise??? Thanks in advance, Pappy

did you set the compatability to winge95/98?? that usually does it!

I even set compatility to windows 95/98 and no worky.Yes,I have windows Xp and patched to Oct2008 for WOE.Even d/l'd 3 times and set compatability. :dntknw:

Pappy,

 

If you have a previous copy of the weaponeditorm there should be a weaponeditor.ini config file.

 

Copy that file into the new weapon editor and fire up the program.

 

That has worked for me.

Have the same issue after a full rebuild of PC. And getting no joy on this tried all the above

 

Running XP Pro Patch 3

 

Happens on WOI WOE WOV and SFG all Oct 08 Patched.

Pacman,I too had the same problem with a recent pc build on XP sp3.Here's what I had to do;Keep weapons editor in zip folder on desktop,right-click and open with 7zip and press exe.You'll see it finally works that way.Don't know way anything has changed?But,hopefully that works for you.

dont know if this helps,but i extract weps editor into objects folder for WO(x) and set compatability in there.works fine for me.look to see if any 3rd party anti-virus or other "safety" programs are blocking it......dont know this for sure,but, then again, i've never had this issue.

also, i have even noticed that each time i install a new add-on that has a weps folder in it, i have to reset compatibility to win 95(weps editor,that is).EVERY-time....but thats just my experience.
