+Fates 63 Posted January 19, 2004 Funny stuff NC, I've personally been involved in 3 accident investigations involving pilot death, and it's never a task I wish on anyone to perform. I've been involved in other accident investigations, mainly gear up landings, and it's always the same thing. Q. What's the last thing a pilot does after a gear up landing before exiting the aircraft? A. Put the gear handle in the DOWN position. April 3, 1996: U.S. Commerce Secretary Ron Brown. A U.S. Air Force jetliner carrying Brown and American business executives crashed into a mountain in Croatia, killing all 35 people aboard. April 19, 1993: South Dakota Gov. George Mickelson ®. Mickelson died along with seven others when a state-owned airplane slammed into a silo during a rainstorm in Iowa. April 4, 1991: Pennsylvania Sen. John Heinz ®. According to AP: A fiery plane-helicopter collision 11 years ago killed U.S. Sen. H. John Heinz III and showered flames on children in a playground. He wasnt trying to be disrespectful to ACTUAL accident victims. I would have never made any connection to actual wrecks and deaths if you hadnt said something. I took his joke for what it was. Not tryin to flame ya pal, just my observation. Actually Dagger, I recognize that broom...MY ex-wife was flyin on it when she left me. I gave her a "boost" out the door, hehe. That done, I have nothing more to say on the matter. I've made my point and feel no need to carry on further and run it into the ground. For me, the matter is closed. The fact that a broom was representatative of the aircraft, meant that Hillary was a Witch...not an unfortunate aircraft accident victim. If theirs an argument to make, make it about Hillary Clinton not being a Witch...not a potential aircraft accident victim...No one whishes that on anyone. Beer 0 Posted January 20, 2004 LOL Good joke NC with a great follow up by snapple (by the way snapple we are still waiting for your first WU from folding :))! Note that no-one was injured in NC's joke, and the broom was left reasonably intact so in my humble and unsolictited opinion, I found a great deal of humor in it. Did you notice the broom looked made of wood and plastic so it was a definately a stealth broom, likely made by Lockheed and the Skunkworks, and probably a gift from her First Lady days. HC is the subject of many jokes, however I drew the line on the Bos'n just the other day when he put a picture of HC and her shaking hands with a Army guy in desert camo in my chart room (his office), the caption reading "keep your enemys close at hand". After all who wants to be doing chart work and look up and see HC looking at ya? I pulled that picture down the minute I saw it..."Its good to be the Mate". I would like to add a HC joke to this thread, however, it may offend some people, so if you want to know "how Bill and Hillary Clinton met", and you have a HC joke sense of humor, and your not offended by alternative lifestyle jokes, PM me for the answer.
