There's no problem with the CBU-24s on the B-26K -- just flew an armed recon mission and they work fine. I would recommend rechecking your key assignments. And don't forget to open the bomb bay doors when using the Attack loadout (CAS and Armed Recon mission), as the CB-24s are carried in the bomb bay in that loadout.

Any news with the May-2011 patches? Has the cloud issue been fixed?

Nope - doesn't seem so...

But something else: I updated just yesterday and applied the Expansion Pack (plus my other stuff) once again. On a plain SF2V (not mergerd with some of the other series, and no TW-Expansion Pack), what data from the XP needs to be put into the mod-folder? Only the contents of the "Dec 2009 and later" folder, but nothing from the "Expansion Pack 2 / Dec 2010 and later"-folder, right?

And: although I am pretty sure I did everything by the books, I had to find out that several of my aircraft were missing some texture-folders... :yikes:

I checked back every single a/c-folder and copied the missing data back into my new mod folder... Still, I'm left with the feeling, that sth. might be missing. Well, I'll find out over the time.......

I only just got SF2V (version I purchased is May2011) and installed this Expansion Pack. I had a problem with missing carriers (i.e. aircraft blew up on mission start). Solved it by extracting the game's CVA-63.INI and SCB-125.INI into their respective mod folders.

Haven't run into any game crashes or missing skins/loadouts yet.

You may want to look into the COMMDATA.INI and SOUNDLIST.INI files, I think the patch changed these files (the new wingman commands, for example).

Sounds like the installer didn't install the proper files for the carriers in your case -- odd.

As for the COMMDATA.INI and SOUNDLIST.INI changes, I am aware of them. We don't mod the COMMDATA.INI. The SOUNDLIST.INI changes are very minor, and they will be incorporated in a future update.

My bad. I must have changed the commdata.ini myself then :)

I just want to say that your mod improves the SF2V experience exponentially! :salute:

Folks:

This cumulative update package for the SF2V Expansion Pack has been refreshed and updated again.

http://combatace.com/files/file/10466-sf2v-air-ground-war-expansion-pack-v20-sep-2013-update/

This is a big update, so let me summarize the highlights:

- added 32 new target areas to the North Vietnam terrain
- overhauled dozens of existing target areas
- added 8 new aircraft (some optional variant models)
- added around 20 new ships
- updated most AAA, SAM, & radar objects
- added 7 new Rolling Thunder campaign variants
- added support for SF2NA (but not campaigns)

The above list just covers the most significant changes and updates. Just about every aircraft has been tweaked in some way or another, and dozens if not hundreds of other tweaks or bug fixes have been implemented in other areas of the mod.

I would strongly urge you to peruse the ReadMe, as it contains important information about what's changed with this update. I would call your attention to the following:

- Min. requirements: you must have SF2 & SF2E installed in order to get several standard aircraft

- VPAF Add-on: you must have the VPAF Add-on (available in the downloads section) installed before installing this update package:

http://combatace.com/files/file/11794-sf2v-air-ground-war-expansion-pack-v20-vpaf-add-on/

- Before proceeding with the main part of the installation process, you will entirely remove and replace three aircraft (incl. decals) -- see the ReadMe for instructions

So, please do have a look at the ReadMe before diving in. It just might save you some grief later on.

Folks:

So, it turns out that I forgot to include the new F-4 engine sounds in the update package. (sigh) They are attached to this post. Simply unpack the RAR file and drop the WAV files in the \Sounds dir of your Mods folder.

I will upload a corrected version of the update package in a day or so.

Folks:

Another minor bug has merged. This one affects the selection of player aircraft and squadrons in Red campaigns. So far as I can tell, only the MiG squadrons in the Red-side "American War" campaign are affected (that's the Red version of Rolling Thunder). I've made corrections to all Rolling Thunder variant campaigns, though, as a hedge.

Attached to this post is a ZIP containing updated versions of all Rolling Thunder campaigns. Simply unzip and drop the enclosed folders into the \Campaigns folder of your Mods Folder, allowing Windows to overwrite existing files.

Please keep in mind that these updated files require the Sept. 2013 Update for the SF2V Expansion Pack.

Folks:

Yes, another minor fix for the Sept. 2013 update. Looks like I botched the implementation of MiGBuster's DIANE mod for the A-6A/B cockpits. Not sure how I managed to do that, but in any case a fix is attached to this post.

To install, simply unpack and drop the A-6A and A-6B folders into the \Objects\Aircraft directory in your Mods Folder, allowing Windows to overwrite exisiting files.

As with the previous fix, this one will be rolled up into a refreshed Sept. 2013 installer sometime in the next few days.

Folks:

Attached to this post is a mini-update package for the SF2V Expansion Pack. You must have the Sept. 2013 Cumulative Update package installed in order to use this update, which consists mainly of minor fixes and updates to various aircraft. This update also includes deck lighting (courtesy of Fubar512 & MiGBuster) for all aircraft carriers.

A ReadMe with install instructions is included.

Any plans for a new addition Eric, given the new releases since 2014? (H-53, AH-1, OH-6, in house A-37 off the top of my head)

daddyairplanes:

Yes, there probably will be more additions. The A-37 at the very least, if only to remove the dependence on the A-Team model. Perhaps the AH-1s as well. I don't foresee going wild with helos, though, as the primary focus of the mod is on the various bombing campaigns against North Vietnam.

Sorry, for the tardy response. I only saw this post today for some reason.

No worries, good thing you did as Eole will have tge Vietnamese Tweets ready this weekend ish. He set those up to match up with the pack as best as possible, mine (USAF) are geared to my squadronlist but will work fine (each skin calls unit marks by specific number TailCode696, RudderStripe632 etc). Other suggestions: Sandies escorting Jolly Greens, Marhuk missions in late 72 ( AH-1J anti ship putside Haiphong).

check the skins in the folder (are they jpg, bmp, dont exist). what you find will help determine the answer but short version is the game doesnt think it has anything to put on the model

and the thread pops up to the top with a new posting, so yes necro threads walk the streets if you make them do so:biggrin:

Sorry being late for party.. I just wanna say "THANK YOU" very much to anyone who involved and spent their valuable time, sweat, money and maybe blood to create these masterpieces.

As an amateur military scale-modeller, and not-so-hardcore NAM era enthusiast, what you guys done are helping me so much, to transform idea, skin & decal job, data and info to my works. and to pass boredom during COVID Lockdown & soc-distancing.

once again, sorry for my limited English.. (my 10 years kid speak fluently than I do.. 😣)

Thanks so much, Terima Kasih.. 🤗

Sincerely..Wings over Vietnam Vet..
