If this question has been posted before (and I feel it must have) I could not find it. After finding out there was no N-28 in OFF I finally looked at the aircraft folder to see what was included. I am certain I have been spoiled by RB3D w/ WFP2 but I was expecting a lot more aircraft types. What types of additional aircraft can we expect exactly in future add-ons? When will they be released? Is the plan as a whole package or separate A/C? I am more than happy to pay for many more A/C types and/or add-ons to this sim. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Hellshade 110 Posted August 27, 2009 As one OFF enthusiast to another I will try to answer for the Devs by saying "When it's Done". :) They shipped Between Heaven and Hell with 39 flyable aircraft, however it's not just the aircraft. It's all the proper skins for both squadrons and Aces by date as well as the historically accurate mission flight data. That is a LOT of information to research and add above and beyond just trying to get the modeling and flight dynamics right. I would love see the Gotha's and HP 400s flying in the sky as well, but these things take time. As eager as I am to have a go at the heavys, OBD has always made it more than worth the wait. You've yet to experience the 'classic responces' such as: and I quote "Definate Maybe" "Soon", and the never to be forgotten "By Christmas" And the ever popular "Two weeks". Olham 164 Posted August 28, 2009 DukeIronHand, some of the devs ARE from RB3D, as far as I know. So you are in the best possible hands here. As far as I believe to know them by now, they want to include all the interesting crates sooner or later. But until then - what about flying all the ones we have already here? The way they build and model them is much more work than it would have been for RB3D. Today, you want an almost accurate flight model; and lots of details, and great skins. I've been trying to get some answers out of them every now and then regarding the new planes, but they are very tight-lipped. I can only hope they're planning to release one add-on pack devoted only to two-seaters, because those are currently the most lacking group of planes in OFF - we shouldn't forget there were always more two-seaters than scouts in operation during the Great War. But yeah, 39 flyable planes in the vanilla version of the game is something you don't see often in flight sims. Out of those planes, I'm quite familiar with only a few types - the rest I haven't really tried yet in campaign mode. JimAttrill 24 Posted August 28, 2009 Hi Dev guys. I think that any new aircraft you have configured should be a paid-for upgrade. You can't go on giving upgrades for free. I don't think the guys on this site will complain, from what I have seen of their posts. (Although maybe us guys who bought at $39 or more should get upgrades for free as we didn't get use of the $29 special ) I will happily pay for upgrades, just to keep you doing them.
