Hmmm. How odd. I've installed it (quad-merged) and all of the stock USAF and USN Phantoms have gone!

Well it's taken me a full hour but I've totally deleted Strike Fighters 2 et al and re-installed all four but without this patch!

Hi ST - how are you mate?

Just trying to problem solve here - Had you applied the previous Nov2009b patch?

How about you GV?

How to ensure that new shiny patch will not mess up your install:

1. Rename your MOD folder, just put a "_" in front of it

2. Create New Folder and name it the same way you named your MOD folder

3. Start the game then exit

4. Delete the newly created MOD folder, rename your original mod folder the way it was before patch.

Mine is a quad game install without any mods and updated with all the previous patches. With Dec2009 all US Phantoms lost cockpit entries, same goes for Israeli's upgraded Skyhawks. Deleted whole Objects\Aircraft folder - game regenerated them in the same bugged state. Waiting for hotfix.

Yes, just about the same for me. Quad merged and updated to the patch before this one and on W7. I did have a few mods installed (basically, the recent RAZBAM stuff) but nothing that would affect my USAF/USN Phantoms.

I'll just see what the hotfix does first.

I can confirm the bug with the missing planes

I also can't open CAT #3

Error: Cat file size-data does not match (2).^A

Since that is the CAT all F4 stuff is, I guess this is where the problem is

I guess the CAT #3 explains why I did what brain said before patching and my phantoms are still gone. Inis are just fine. GRRRRRR

Rambler 1-1, patch applied, all systems in the green.

Had a small FPS drop, though. I think I'll lower the shadow detail and maybe the terrain detail...

Any problems with WOV2 Air and Ground War Expansion Pack?

Same question for SF2V Expansion Pack Gold...

I already asked Eric about that in the related thread.

Will let you know if he doesn't directly in here...

Are the DX10 shaders worth it? The other improvements I don't really need (I already have A-7D in campaign and stuff, don't need no subtitles...). With the ENBSeries mod, DX9 rendering is very fast also. But if DX10 does visually improve the look of the game, I might risk the update.

I was (mainly) hoping for the Dec2009-patch solving the "scenery-stuttering". TK was able to cure that with the SF2I-rollout, but SF2I doesn't correspond well with the SF2V-Expansion Pack... So, maybe..... bye.gif

If I had a Force Feedback-Joystick, I might have liked that it is supported now, too. But for all the rest included in the patch, I think I don't need that THAT much (as far as I learnt from the readme) - I guess... We'll see.

When I patched up my SF2/E/V installs, I noticed a few differences. The HUD's only show numbers, no scaling. Also, the external tanks are no where to be found, as well as bunch of missiles. I did a complete uninstall/deletion of the SF installs and the save game folder, reinstalled, patched, and used the method mentioned in the post on page one, copying over a previous backup (pre-patch) of my saved games folder, to no avail. Suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong?

Eric, I'm not trying to convert a/c to Gen2, just trying to unpork my patched install :good:
