SGCSG1, the movie is quite good, if you just imagine, it is another German Jasta.

Don't expect it to be the historical MvR at all, but another Staffelführer, and you will be fine.

The computer generated flying scenes are much more realistic than in "Flyboys".

I found it very depressing, and there seemed to be a sound problem on the version I have. I found it to be pretty historically inaccurate on things that could have been easily fixed (Hawker flying and SE5 being a little portly and having a beard?). The flying scenes were good, and the 3D modeling was also quite good.

All five minutes of them, from what I understand.

I received advice to "park my brain under my seat" when I saw Flyboys and by doing so I was able to enjoy the movie. Won't be able to do it with this one.

I can't imagine you could JFM. Not after all your research and dedication to knowing the man's life. :drinks:

JFM - by all means, don't even think it was about MvR, but some other Jasta.

The only way to enjoy it.

No, I don't even think I can do that. Albatros D.s in vertical power dives while in a formation tighter than the Blue Angels? Somehow I made it through Flyboys but no, no, I better stay away. Just all the ridiculous Roy Brown stuff will have me guffawing at the screen.

Hmmm, maybe if I approached it as a comedy...

...or after a couple of Jack Daniels' ?

Yeah, the dive and the roll rate are nonsense. You would wish, they would

do one movie with the right advisors for WW1 aircraft, flying and combat.

Let's hope, that Peter Jackson finds a good script.
