Updated Default SF2 Terrain by Piecemeal V 1.2

Recommended Posts

Hi

I just got SF2 after years away and downloaded your terrain and the campaigns for it. I haven't played SF1/WOV/WOE in ages, so I'm probably forgetting something very basic, but I can't get your terrains or campaigns to show up. I put the terrain in the game's Terrain folder (and also made a mod folder to see if that fixed the problem - it didn't) and it isn't showing up. My terrain folder only has desert.cat and the DESERT3 folder.

I also didn't see a campaigns folder, but I made one in the mod folder. Still nada.

Any help from anyone?

Make sure your terrain folder is "terrains" with an "s" on the end.

Yeah, that's what it was. Told you it would be something noobish and stupid. Thanks, guys. Map looks great.

SFP1Ace pointed out my ommision of RAF Canopic from the terrain :oops:

So here's the revised DESERT3_TARGETS.ini file ...........

DESERT3_TARGETS.rar

In the DESERT3_DATA.INI, this setting is wrong!!! :this:

[HeightOffset]

NonTexturedMesh=-10.0

LowDetailMesh=-1.0 <<<<<<<<<<<<

TexturedMesh=-5.0

DetailedMesh=0.1

LowDetailMesh=-1.5 <<<<<<<<<<<<

WaterMesh=0.9

Should this be:

[HeightOffset]

NonTexturedMesh=-10.0

TexturedMesh=-5.0

DetailedMesh=0.1

LowDetailMesh=-1.5 <<<<<<<<<<

WaterMesh=0.9

or this:

[HeightOffset]

NonTexturedMesh=-10.0

TexturedMesh=-5.0

DetailedMesh=0.1

LowDetailMesh=-1.0 <<<<<<<<<

WaterMesh=0.9

DESERT3_TARGETS.rar

Piecemeal,

in this new DESERT3_TARGETS.ini, the Eleventh Dhimari Air Defence Battery (TargetArea055) and RAF Canopic (TargetArea261) are added but the Muthala Industrial Centre (TargetArea262 in the original ini) is now missing.

Is it an initiative to reduce Dhimari's Carbon emissions? grin.gif

Best regards

Hi,

I have a question regarding the instalation.

Pasko's SAMs and Vehicle Pak - Desert Skins, is required or recomended for this terrain update. In it's readme it say's

== YOU MUST HAVE THE LASTEST WEAPONS PACK INSTALLED FOR THIS TO PROPERLY WORK!!!! ==

== YOU MUST HAVE THE LATEST GUN DATA AS WELL!!!! ==

Do I have to apply a weapon pack to SF2?

The latest WP for SF2 will work with this?

Ok thanks,

So the "MGunny's Ordnance Shop II for SF2" is compatible with the old series ground objects that are installed on the 2 series?

will I also need "Guns Collection for SF2 Series 2.0"?
