Can Not Get New Add-on Planes Installed into Strike Fighters 2

I recently purchased Strike Fighters 2 thinking I could install add on planes the same was as with the original versions of the Thirdwire games. I have attempted to install planes designated for the series 2 installed and the game (Strike Fighters 2) does not recognize them. They will not show up in the list of planes that can be selected when the game is running.

 

Is there a new trick to getting the game to recognize them???????

 

Any help would be appreciated.

That's right. Even in the official TW website, that info burried in the forums (not stickied).

I guess everyone should just check out the CA Knowledge Base once in a while.

Assume you are referring to something downloaded from here?

 

Double check you have put it in the right place

 

C:\Users\<>\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2\Objects\Aircraft\EF-4C

 

 

make sure this line is in the main .ini for the jet at the top

 

[AircraftData]

AircraftFullName=EF-4C Wild Weasel IV

AircraftShortName=EF-4

AircraftDataFile=EF-4C_data.ini

CockpitDataFile=EF-4C_cockpit.ini <-------------------------

I have managed to get the buccaner to work but the victor & vulcan dont seam to unpack properly and TSR 2 wont even unpack at all. I will perservere as i only got the game for its brit. bomber mods :) ( Strike fighters 2 )

Can you provide links to exactly what you are trying to download - I would say some of them need the model files from another site.

I think it was a download problem as I have just flown 1st succesful strike mission in the TSR 2 :) after redownloading the files. Many thanks for your advice time and patience.
