Well the Meteor was a jet fighter (allegedly) but a few M-262 and Arado Ar-234's were royally bounced by Mustangs in WW2.

IIRC, Meteor's a late war Brit fighter, which will be a flyable. I think with early jet engines it's not that fast and wastes fuel rather efficiently.

 

I wish TK did a MiG with this level of detail :cool:

Hey Dan can you tell me if Bump maping is enabled on "old" SF2/V/E/I series planes I know there are no normal maps supplied with the Feb or Mar2010 patch but I was wondering if models are set up(mapped) with that in mind?

Of course it could, but it really depends on the situation. The Brits tested a Vampire against a Spit XIV (which pretty much outclassed the Mustang in most aspects)...and the Vampire was clearly superior, performance wise. Still, given the right position and the right pilot at the controls, even a piston engined fighter would have a chance against a jet.

most early jets had limitations and experienced pilot in a piston engined aircraft could and did exploit them.

Why don't you just give us rivet counters the exact number ? We can start checking it and it makes it a lot easier to start whining. And after the discussion about the numbers is settled, we can start fighting about the depth of the rivets....grin.gif Really looking forward .......
