1948 War for Independence Campaign

Recommended Posts

I've only just started on the Fury and getting the colours right. It looks fun to work on though.

Lloyd,

this is the first plane (after the Venom) I would like to fly soon (when my PC will be back at home ...)!

In my previous up post there is the acig.org link to references.

hehe that was good one - avia made from styrofoam :-)

Yes I am going to reduce the effect. I did it so strong because

I couldnt see it on my comp and then I realized that my comp

cannot show it. :-)

Maybe I've been hanging around the RC crowd a bit much lately, as my mind naturally leaped there.

It'd probably look great on an F-117, to duplicate the Radar Absorbent Material! Hehehe...

I need some advice.

I'm not happy with the Iraqi Fury colours above. The online sources show a range of colours. Since the Iraqis didn't tend to repaint British supplied aircraft (look at the Hunter as an example), it suggests that the paint should be standard British colours for the Med in 1948. I was thinking Mid Stone/Dark Earth for the upper surfaces and Azure Blue for the underside.

Any thoughts? Does this look better?

yup, i'd go with the mid-stone/dark earth/azure blue. seems to look a bit more 'faded' that way

That´s the best Avia/Me 109 model I have seen so far.

It surpasses a lot Il2 models.

Who wants to tackle an EAF Short Stirling in aluminium?

I plan to do that one Lloyd, but they may be as much as a week away. Halifax first, just about done. Then a break while I actually play a Campaign. So if anyone can do it sooner, than have at it.

Any help would be most welcome. Which Arabic font do you use. I use AF_Najed.

I made a temp from TW stock arab numbers and used for IrAF Hunters, Venoms (see forum) and Vampires (incoming).

For FAL Hunters I used siddiqua.

The historical serials will be delivered to You.

Awesome!

The Fury serials are ready.

All known numbers are included: the rest are presumed for all 38 planes delivered.

Test them.

You could include IDF Killmarks, too: they are in my RJAF Hunters pack ...

I'll post it shortly, but I don't have SF2 or WOI2 so someone will have to convert it.

You will have to move where the shell eject from. Currently its too far forward.

Only a question: the new Avia in S-199 in SF1 download section is the same seen in above posts?
